This beautiful seven-branched lamp 🕯️symbolizes light 💡 , wisdom 🤓, and God’s presence 🔥
It was first lit in the tabernacle and later in the temple. The Menorah you see in this Old City courtyard is an exact replica of the one from ancient times.
During the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, we light a special menorah called a “hanukkiah” with eight branches, celebrating the miraculous oil that burned for eight days. But we will tell you more about that in December.

1. it is NOT a replica of any other Menorah; it has been recently formed exactly according to Halacha (Jewish Law with exact instructions for making it).

The menorah is such a beautiful gift to the world! If you notice a Catholic Church's altar, you will also see 3 lighted candles on each side facing the congregation, and the seventh stick is not lighted. Instead, there's the shiny crucifix aligned with the Tabernacle at the center, for us He is the light of the world. So that for us is the seventh "lighted stick" of the perspective "menorah" we have. I believe it's the symbol of Israel. What I don't know is why people don't show it on shirts or neck chains but prefer the star of David. David didn't have that star in his day, it was the symbol of Molech. Wasn't it?
