If you haven’t read Bad Dolls by Rachel Harrison it’s her short story collection. I recently read it and loved it even though I normally don’t love short story collections ❤ Also loved Joyland by SK I rarely hear anyone mention that book 😊
As a fellow Rachel Harrison girlie, hearing you describe So Thirsty's protagonist as a 36/37 year old type 6 who is obsessed with researching past major disasters... Say less lol as if I wasn't already excited enough for this, now I need to get my hands on it immediately. I also really liked The Return! I did just read Black Sheep and that one didn't hit the same as the others 😞
Girl, I'm not making my goal this year either. Amen sister. Amen. We are all doing our best.
🙌🏻😅💯
My favorite book of October was “The Vampire Lestat” by Anne Rice. I loved the tv show so much I decided to read the books too
I need to get into some Anne Rice! ❤️🙌🏻
We used to live here was my favorite for October
I liked that one too!❤️
Reading louise penny series little by little. So far so good.

American Rapture is my top book of 2024 just like Maeve Fly was my top of 2023. It is cemented in my lifetime top reads.
Wow, that’s awesome!

Yes! If that draws you in, you will be on board with this one for sure!
I want to check out the return, I’ve heard such mixed things and I really want to see what I think 👀
I’m curious to know what you would think too. Let me know if you end up reading it!
my fav from October was Whalefall, loved it so much! also loved Binti and Ajjiit. I just finished What Moves the Dead which was fun 😊
I loved Whalefall too! Such a unique story. I need to read more Kingfisher too!
I’m not on track for my goal either. I lowered mine to 50 this year and I’m still behind. I’m going to bust out some end of year novellas in December.
I’m pretty much going to mood read til the end of the year and whatever happens happens. 😅
I forgot to add my favorite read from October was Eynhallow by Tim McGregor! Highly recommend!
Ooh! I’ll have to look it up! Thanks ❤️
Yay couldn’t click fast enough 😊
I loved Cackle and The Return, but Harrison's new books haven't been great for me. They feel really clunky and heavy handed
