Hello Helen, the owls was an experience you can’t describe. We really enjoyed it. We both hope you’re doing well and thanks as always for watching. Catch you on the next one 👍 Have a nice day, Helen & Dave
Morning Tris & Nikki, hope you’re both ok. This was a fab experience, I loved the lighthouse but the owl encounter was truly amazing. Thanks as always, Helen & Dave
Nelson's Patch is one of our favourites, in fact we are there tonight in the vloggers pitch - pitch 13. Last time it was pitch 14. We'll be eating in the Lighthouse Inn as well!
Ah cheers folks. That turned out to be one of our best little get aways of the year and the lighthouse and owls day was unexpected but absolutely made it for us, we loved it. Thanks for your lovely comment, ATB, Helen & Dave
Hi Helen and Dave my apologies I managed to miss a couple of videos been so mad here in one way or another This one was a great video looks a lovely area and the pub was great and can see why you like the campsite as well A great tour of the lighthouse and explanation about the history In a link to our area Chance Bros Glass factory was about three miles away from us near to West Bromwich! Such a small world! They have been out of business some years now but made many lighthouse lights in their time glad that one is still going strong What an amazing view I bet you can see for miles! Great to see Alec and Sandra and their wonderful collection of owls they all seemed really tame and great how they behaved with the camera they seem such a lovely couple All the very best to you both Daniel
No worries Daniel, you’re here now and hope all is well. We’ve had some hectic times too so know where you’re coming from. Great treat to get up the lighthouse and visit the owls. Thanks a lot, Helen & Dave
That was a fantastic video, spectacular scenery, and the Owls were beautiful and so well looked after, thank you Dave and Helen for filming and posting 👌👍
@@anthonywatkins2783 Hello Anthony, thanks again for dropping by to watch and also for your lovely comment. The trip up the lighthouse and to see the owls came as a big surprise and we’re not planned and made it for us, we really enjoyed it and glad you did too. Best wishes, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi guys lovely site, shame they don't have facilities, the restaurant bar and food looked good. Loved the owls they were awesome, we visited a place like that in dorset on our hols, they did flying displays absolutely brilliant. Hope helens feeling ok noticed she has been wearing the shoulder pad, getting older is no fun 🙄🙄 take care of each other, see you soon xx
Hi Julie, it was a really lovely stay and I know we go away a lot but this was quite different. The owls, just as you described were amazing. Helen has to manage the shoulder situation and the replacement ops can't come soon enough for her. Thanks as always and best wishes to you and yours. Helen & Dave xx
Wow, incredible views and owls what perfection. The pub food looked amazing as soon as I saw the salmon on the menu I thought that’s what I’d have. Your hair looks lovely btw Helen ❤
Hi Sandra, thank you, I had my hair done that morning 👍 The owls were beautiful and the whole trip was just lovely, so glad we did it. Take care, Helen & Dave x
What a lovely video Dave & Helen 👍. We like the site and you were on a great pitch. It was nice to see the choppy sea and crashing waves and the clouds were spectacular too. Thank you for the lighthouse tour Dave. We were both taken back to see just two little light bulbs💡 😅. Great views, what a shame its years are numbered. The owls 🦉 are beautiful and Sandra does an amazing job. A memorable holiday. Hope the support is helping you Helen. See you next time, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob & Gail, thank you very much for your lovely comment, we have Alec & Sandra to thank for organising the lighthouse and owl tour. We were not expecting that and it really made it for us. Next time you head this way, I think you would like the site (FULL SERVICE) and a great stop off as part of a Norfolk tour. Best wishes to you both. Helen & Dave
Stayed a couple of times at the Lighthouse, I agree the food is very good, big sign on their shower facilities NOT FOR NELSON CUSTOMERS, 😂 Didn’t know about the owls, were @ Sandygulls next year so will definitely ring to go, love owls.
Hi Helen and Dave, what a fabulous vlog! You must be some of the best ambassadors Norfolk has. We've never been up the lighthouse in all the years I lived in Norfolk but will certainly put that on our next trip to Norfolk and the owl sanctuary is something else! Keep up the good work, always look forward to your vlogs. Cheers Terry

This trip was short but just what we needed, the time at The Lighthouse and with the owls was really lovely. Take care both, Helen & Dave
Hi Dave & Helen, great watching the video. We stayed there last year. Can't wait to look up the owl place. We remember the rough sea, our dog didn't like it. We are in Laburnum next weekend.
Morning Ian, thanks for watching, we enjoyed it very much. Hope you have a pleasant stay at Laburnum, great sea views from there. Safe travels, Helen & Dave 👍
Lovely video my sister lives at Walcott I gave her a wave 😂Helen I can definitely recommend the Victoria sponge cake at Walcott cafe … the video brought so many happy memories of my childhood spent in Happisburgh where my grandma lived in a wood hut left over from the war to say it was quirky was an understatement! But I loved it not so when she washed my hair from the rainwater out of the waterbutt😮 my cousin and I used to count how many times the lighthouse would shine through the little wooden windows before we fell asleep it was magical of course I had to take my granddaughter to visit she loved the lighthouse the beach and my sisters little house by the sea thank you again for a lovely video Take care on your journeys 😊

Just seen on news a caravan site near earls barton has had to be evacuated due to flooding good luck to them getting vans off the site some will be ruined
Hi Dave and Helen, now that's my sort out site, no thrills or spills just a plain simple area, nice sized pitches, separated by little hedge lines. Question, you've been to the campsite right next to the Norfolk tank museum, what's its name please ??? Thanks in advance, all the best and safe travels, Neil
Hi Neil, ditto and we will be back to Nelson's Patch for sure, just a nice feel about the site. The site next to the tank museum is Foxhills, another little gem of a place and right on the coast. Hope you're well and thanks as always, Helen & Dave
@@HelenandDave thanks for the name guys, and yeah we're good, getting ready for the last couple of trips this season, and wondering what my winter project could be ready for next season
Just a thought for your viewers dave everybody knows caravans depreciate so why is it when you see an unsold van in a dealers 6months later the price is still the same a dealers near me are selling a 2011 swift challenger for £11000 its not worth that money but theyve had it for months maybe you could do a video on depreciation which vans are the best or worst for it a lot of people would watch that sort of thing
Just recently spent a week or so at Bridlington Caravan and Motorhome site near Flamborough Head. When I was there, the wardens spoiled my stay completely by their pedantic adherence to rules. 4 times I was told off for breaking their silly rules, that add nothing to safety, from what i did. They were truly overbearing, too officious and because of this ruined our stay. We will never go back there again. I would advise them, if I could, to take on new roles as traffic wardens. It would suit them well. Do they not realise that their main role is to welcome people and make their stay a happy one, so they come back ? Instead it seems to be a power trip for them, imposing their will, on victims who camp there. By the way, it is illegal for camp sites to use cctv, if they are not informing campers of it's use with proper and adequate signage and why they are using it. Camp sites must follow GDPR rules by law and not spy on people without their knowledge.
Hi Fred, that's not good! We also had a bad experience with C&MC wardens last year (only the once) but it also spoiled our stay. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
Hi, that's not good when you leave feeling like you never want to go back, though years ago myself and the wife said we would only ever return to a site if we really enjoyed it, we have only ever had one very bad trip to a CCC site at Oldbury, where I was rudely accused of breaking into the disabled toilets because I hadn't picked up a key, and true to our word we've never been near the place since, camping or with the caravan, hope you made complaint to the club about your treatment and about the usage of the CCTV in that way. All the best Neil
@mentalneil They are only interested in money. I will just vote with my feet. On one point of note from the C&MC, how can they allow electric cars to be charged outside the pegged habitation area, bringing the fire risk closer to the next pitch, which in all other cases, where there is no money involved, is not allowed ?
