Dimash can sing full opera, rock, pop, folk and even raps on occasion, Plays several instruments, composes, directs, dances, models etc. and he is a sweetheart. Very humble. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, getting quite good in English now and some mandarin.
Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He was 23 in this performance and is 28 now (only gotten better). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. Thank you for the reaction video :))) Dimash is from Kazakhstan :) He was invited to participate as a wild card competitor in "I am a Singer" (chinese competition for professional, established singers) in 2017. He became widely known in China since the first episode of this show, where he sang his "calling card" song (cover), "SOS". Production of the show literally had to assign him bodyguards the next day. The cover of "Hello", he performed it in 2018 when he was invited back as a guest for the finale. He sang two "i love you"`s of the song in chinese - "Wǒ ài nǐ", and one in kazakh at the end - "men seni süyemin" - as a salute to his fans - since 2017 he got millions of chinese fans, very supportive and loyal fans. Yes he definitely does more than just covers. Welcome to having your mind blown. My recommendation would be Olympico or Stranger. Igor is Dimash's fajita retired composer that came out of retirement because of Dimash to write again. Practically all his songs tell you quickly that Dimash is the best in the world, so you can't really go wrong on your next pick.
This tall (6'3") man from Kazak is Eurasian. Not only is he probably the greatest singer out there with a vocal range of over 7 octaves but he is kind, honorable, vey high moral standards as he is of a very strict Kazak sect of Islam. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He was 23 in this performance and is 28 now (only gotten better). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "SOS" 2017, 2018, or 2021, "Sinful Passion" 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Adagio" 2017, "Ave Maria" 2021. Thank you for the reaction video :))) Dimash is from Kazakhstan :) He was invited to participate as a wild card competitor in "I am a Singer" (chinese competition for professional, established singers) in 2017. He became widely known in China since the first episode of this show, where he sang his "calling card" song (cover), "SOS". Production of the show literally had to assign him bodyguards the next day. The cover of "Hello", he performed it in 2018 when he was invited back as a guest for the finale. He sang two "i love you"`s of the song in chinese - "Wǒ ài nǐ", and one in kazakh at the end - "men seni süyemin" - as a salute to his fans - since 2017 he got millions of chinese fans, very supportive and loyal fans. And the the end he thanked the audience in chinese ("Fēicháng gǎnxiè" = 'thank you so much')

Yes he definitely does more than just covers. Welcome to having your mind blown. My recommendation would be Olympico or Stranger. Igor is Dimash's fajita retired composer that came out of retirement because of Dimash to write again. Practically all his songs tell you quickly that Dimash is the best in the world, so you can't really go wrong on your next pick.

Not only is he probably the greatest singer out there with a vocal range of over 7 octaves but he is kind, honorable, vey high moral standards as he is of a very strict Kazak sect of Islam.
He is also quite athletic.

Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994, in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'. Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings.
His parents are Kanat Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva. Sveta studied classical singing, but she is not an opera singer. According to Kazakh tradition, he was raised by his grandparents (Mama and Papa) and for a long time he kept his parents as his brother ans sister in law. They all live together in one house.

He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in piano, classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash did not fit the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was criticized. Even his voice teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (Interview with his voice teacher - ua-cam.com/video/V7hkcKYAnhg/v-deo.html ) ... but he was not deterred, won many national and international competitions.
In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of the National Opera in Astana because he wanted to go his own way ... He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃
Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He founded his own company named Dimash Ali.
In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. His first album sold out in 37 seconds and triple platinum in under an hour.
He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian without accent (second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 13 languages, trains his voice for 3 hours every day... but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results".
Experts consider Dimash to be a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano.

In his childhood Dimash trained Taekwondo.
