If Hasbro would step up their game especially the paint game and from my perspective go to 12“ and all of that with a reasonable pricing they would take some life out of bootleg and third party companies. I just got my "Fire Scorpion" yesterday...but I am getting the Toy World one, as well. The only thing I don't like about this one is how loose the ankle joints are...which makes it difficult to keep in a standing pose. I know it's possible to make joints stiffer with nail polish or something. Maybe I'll do that for this figure.

You can get this at ShowZstore for $130. Tbh Toyworld looks the best/most accurate but the clearance issues are terrible on Freedom Leader and not worth it and if you transform it often it will break. Mine broke straight out the package first time transforming him and he costed 260
Aoyi mech version and this are obth rlly good, I already have aoyi since a month ago and just opeend him today finally, want to get my hands on this guy too. gonna order form tf-direct and showz from now on since sirtoys has expensive shipping prices, and some of my boxes came damaged, it also took a few months to get here (got some other figures with him too)
First its a damn shame what happened to Wei Jiang. They were making good quality Transformers. MUCH better then Hasbro/Takara could ever offer and since is their last offering I will have to pick this guy up. He looks good save for the floppy joints which I can over look. But again its sad for Wei Jiang. I have to thank them for their MPP-10 because it was that excellent design that Lewin took and made the excellent OVERSIZED Atlas Prime.. Great vid Ben.
Do you think that some of the flimsyness can be fixed by, as you said tightening the screws, or with floor polish, etc? In my opinion this is one of the best-looking, and if the issues can be fixed via some diy-method, I might still think about picking this up. I've been anxious for this specific release forever haha! Best version hands down and i have all of them. This version i cannot put it down and i have super tight ankles on mine. I thinks its just your copy. I have 2 of these and both are the same. My only disappointment is they didn’t have time to make a Nemesis version
I'm pretty upset that I didn't know about this figure and I bought the black mamba version now don't get me wrong I love my black mamba version with my beefy shoulders... BUT THIS IS SO DETAILED AND PERFECT IT LOOKS LIKE A FREAKING MODEL and also mine came with a broken leg that I'm waiting for the part, probably for two more months, before I have to figure out how to fix it myself also my truck mode has pipes on top I don't think this one does
As someone who just got into 3rd party Transformers and love the Bumblebee movie, which Bumblebee Optimus Prime is the best one? The Toy World one is out of the question for me purely on price, but how much is this, and how does it compare with the cheaper Bumblebee Primes?
I ordered this because: Aoyi Mech don't look good in my opinion, too big chest,arms. Toyworld version robot mode looks definitely better, but it's truck mode is a shame, it's cost double of this figure, not worth it. Maybe Toylab,Transcraft version will be better, but need to wait years, we have nothing but some 3d pics of Toylab prime. Which bumblebee looks well with him in your opinion? Maybe Zeta toys?
Hey, Ben... that outward hip joint actually -looks- like it has ratchets molded in. Are both sides friction-only? Have you tried opening the thigh to see if they are designed to be ratcheted but they left the inner mechanism out? It just seems weird that they would leave that without ratchets, even though the joint itself is toothed for ratchets. :/
I get the R&D costs. I would buy the hell out of Hasbro. But why is their offering so shit? Can they really not look at this and go "OK, let's do slightly better paint etc"? Every KO I get, I challenge my family to guess which is the KO. The really shitty looking one with the awful paint, really kak quality - or the shiny, exquisite Transformer that LOOKS like it's the official product. 11 times out of 10, the really awful looking one, that looks like a cheap knock off, is the official one. WHY CAN HASBRO NOT DO BETTER?

If there's one thing that they'd have to sacrifice it'd have to be paint as thats the only non essential part. Ko companies can add paint and make slight adjustments to things and still stay under budget because all of the budget intensive things have already been done

Hello, been watching your videos here for a while now. Very nice reviews. For this, I got mine a few days back and the paint job on the metal parts of the thighs easily gets chipped off bits by bits during transformation and even when posing it. Any solution to keep the rest from chipping off? Also the thigh hinges for side movements are kind off loose, any way to tighten them?
i wonder if the better looking Optimus head of their earlier Autobot Apex will fit this body? i think it will be much better looking like the movie design.
I think Wei Jiang has made a lot of great, top-notched KOs and oversized models in the past that are far better than what Hasbro and Takara offers. Now that the 3rd parties are being sued, I guess competition is getting fewer for Takara and Hasbro.
Hasbro will never a do a product like a this, would be better hasbro gives the rights to do do it official , I am sure Wei jiang and black mamba will be happy to pay royalties and sell their products all over the world with no restrictions
I think I prefer the Aoyi because the better build and the added rear section covering the back of the cab. I like Aoyi rear cab where they hide the legs. The WJ looks floppy and unfinished. The alt mode looks like it's about to bow in the middle. I wouldn't consider the TW version for it's price and ugly truck.
This one is surprisingly NOT a K.O nor an "improved version" of something existing. It's a 100% original design. Pretty damn solid and not too hard to transform. Too big to be MPM scaled, but he's perfect along MP-01. Only flaw on mine is the right shoulder joint is too loose so it limit the posability while holding a weapon. The legs on mine are solid. Well worth the price and the official MPM should have taken a clue.
That's Black Apple's work in a nutshell. How some people are creative enough to turn something into a completely different design is mind blowing. If nobody told me the BA Optimus Prime was a KO of MPM04, I would assume it as am original. Too bad it didn't save them. Since the figures are still resembling trademarked characters, even original molds are just as illegal as KOs. Not 100% sure but I heard Toyworld got a similar fate this or last year. But as we know, not even the law can stop us from practicing our right to be creative. More 3rd parties are showing up, and before they know it, HAS/TAK will be unable to shut down any more. Black Apple is also my biggest influence to become a designer. I am majoring Mechanical Engineering, despite the struggles, and if end up buying patents to improve inventions, I'd have him to thank.
Mine's hopefully on its way soon, have got a set of precision screwdrivers, so likely will tighten and firm up the legs a bit on mine. With the trailer hitch attachment, I thought it was MPP scale to go with WJ's Trailer.. if M09 shrinks down to what you say.. that hitch will be compatible with MP10's trailer I think. 😲😱
Edit: after doing some research, "Metal Dition" is reportedly the new name of WJ, a few Chinese reviews have the Title "Commander Leader (Fire Scorpion M09) by Metal Dition"
Since this is between MP and MPP scale, it doesn't seem like it would be compatible with either scale's trailer. Did you ever find out? I was wondering that as well.

I recently received TW and I really like it. It looks really good in bot mode and I prefer the cab of the truck on TW. My only complaint is the loose hands, shoulders, and the feet in truck mode.
I prefer this one than the TW prime, this one looks better in terms of body portions. The legs of the TW prime are waaaay too long especially in contrast with the exceptionally short waist…

As much as I like the ToyWorld version, WeiJiang definitely did a better job hiding the feet in Altmode.

WJ should have made him the same size as MPM Optimus. It would have helped with the QC issues.
And it would help to match him with TE or the upcoming TC bumblebee, now maybe zeta bee is the only that scales with him.

I think this is a marvelous final outing for Wei Jiang. I love how in vehicle mode he scales pretty well with MPP10 and the OS AOE KO.
Truck mode is definitely better than TW. I suggest you keep this for alt mode display; and 3A for robot mode display.

The toy world optimus has a more accurate robot mode and is a nicer,better figure all round and it doesnt feel rushed like this "fire scorpion" thing.

@@hypnotunez Dude, this is the 6th "High end" Bumblebee Optimus that we have gotten, and there are at least 7 more on the way. It's getting extremely annoying to see it over and over again.
And frankly, yeah, Optimus could use a new look that isn't just a stack of boxes. Sue me for thinking it, but it's the truth.

This or TW??? Asking because my TW is already coming and when it got shipped I stumbled upone the released of this figure so now Idk what to do?
I recently received TW and I really like it. It looks really good in bot mode and I prefer the cab of the truck on TW. My only complaint is the loose hands, shoulders, and the feet in truck mode.
I prefer this one than the TW prime, this one looks better in terms of body portions. The legs of the TW prime are waaaay too long especially in contrast with the exceptionally short waist…
Only two gripes, legs and arms are just a bit loose and the wheels don't roll well

Three zero prime. It's non-transformable. But is the most accurate Bumblebee Prime. Also it is the most posable from this lineup.

@@AlexisPunch if you're ok with non-transforming it's quite amazing. That's the only one out of my 11 Primes that cannot transform but he's easily my favorite.Still, this is the first time I've heard of the Fire scorpion and I may pick it up if I can find it.
Feel sorry for Wei Jiang, they did good. But they did wh*r* the $h** out of optimus prime with all the variants and hasbro finally to notice.

Weijiang has done what Hasbro can and will never do.. Shit to greedy and lazy Hasbro... Kudos to Weijiang, they will be back for sure and even better.
