I can't explain why, but I just now fancied watching Blockbusters again for the first time in years, then found this. Many thanks for posting this video!
It wasn't shown at this time in most regions, but TVS showed it at 11.30 am on Saturdays for a while - between Motormouth etc. and The Chart Show - in addition to the weekday evening transmissions, as a means of catching up because they'd fallen behind most other regions.
P.S. it should be a 3 player game, the player will represent a color, the shapes made into a square, a 5x10, they will get a surprise letters, add wild cards and a cash prize.
Sounds like a terrible concept. Blockbusters is fun with the whole two heads are better than one theme, and using the hexagons guarantees that each game will never result in a tie, there will always be a winning connection. If you use squares, there is a way where the game can be tied.
There's been no less than FOUR since the original run. Sky One 1994-5 and 2000 [Though the former did air on some ITV regions], BBC2 1997 and Challenge 2012.

I don't remember seeing Blockbusters on a Saturday lunchtime, I always saw on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings
