Check the collision on your puppet. Scope in with L1 and Square. Go to physical properties and adjust the collision shape. That should work. Let me know.
L1 + X or L1 + square depending on what you want. The first gets you into the chip. The second opens up the puppet tweak menu. You press this on the actual puppet to open.
Darth Starkiller I got it buddy thanks for the vid, having real trouble just getting basic stuff to work with logic. Got crouch to work now, spent the last 4 hours trying to get equip and unequip weapons to work, got it to go from back to hand but now I want to animate that weapon to attack it doesn't move in the animation like i had just scoped it to the hand which kind of makes the equip unequip useless. So frustrating that logic is such a road block. So hard to get a character that can just fight and crouch let alone having inventories. I Can make levels no probs but having a character that can actually do stuff in that lvl is a nightmare. Losing hours getting nowhere Cheers for your help tho👊👍
Darth Starkiller yea Iv learnt a fair bit since launch hard to find the time for logic when working, if we didn't have lock down then I wouldn't have got half as far. I used some of your blood splatter tutorials in a game I released a few weeks ago called Where the Bad Puppets go. Wanted to do a more serious fp horror but combat and inventory is going to hold it back, following simple logic tutorial I struggle to get things to work. Guess patients is a virtue, keep chipping away at it 👍 Thanks for you Vids and time
Do you know if the signal manipulator is more friendly on thermo than a selector gadget? In the tutorials they claim that the exclusive gates are MORE demanding, and to use a selector when possible. I wonder which would be best in this case (toggling logic).
@@mikezenox I'm not sure if this will work, but you can try putting a bunch of signal manipulators in a scene and see how many you can get in a scene before it says you can't have any more or thermo goes up. Do the same for the selector.
Thanks. Could you show how to alter the puppets arms? I want him to keep his arms close to his body and not move so much. I want my guy ti crouch with a gun in his hands. Great video.
So you can go in to puppet properties and when the crouch is on you can have another keyframe that turns dowm arm vigor, etc. So it doesnt sway as much.
Hey, I am doing a crouch but for some reason, the puppet doesn’t go under the objects but stops and it is very clearly lowered than the area... is there anything I have to tweak? Like some sort of puppet height?
@@xcantenerealguy1361 I believe you can shrink it with a Keyframe also, so when crouching it would be one size and when standing up right it would go back to original size.
You are my savior
Glad to help
Helpful, but no matter how low it goes it can't go under anything

@@AntTonyPony Yeah thanks
Darth Starkiller It works, thought I’d let you know. Thanks!

@@AntTonyPony thanks
Did this on a first person puppet but it won't walk when crouched ?
Just make sure you only scope in on the pelvis when animating. Check the feet and see if they might have gotten keyframe. They shouldn't be.

@@stephenmason5827just know I was in a similar situation. I'm still nowhere near perfect. Just keep at it. Little steps.

@@stephenmason5827 finding time is the hardest thing. Logic is tough, but It will eventually just start clicking if you stick with it.
How can i make crouch work for a shadow puppet? (The VR one)
Sorry I havent been on dreams for awhile and i never did anything with VR. Again im sorry I couldnt help.
How would i get a idle crouch animation, then get a separate crouch animation for when you’re walking while crouching??
I'm sorry I haven't messed with dreams for a bit. I forget but there must be something explaining it in another tutorial I have.
How can I make my puppet not attack and jump while crouching ? Thank you.
So if you use this video
ua-cam.com/video/iKoaqPwiqR0/v-deo.html
When your not grounded add a keyframe that turn off attacking.
Hopefully this helps.

I believe they are similar, but I don't know for a fact.

The collision on the puppet needs to be adjusted.

Darth Starkiller how could I do this?
@@stax3594 are you having the same issue as the above person was?
Thank you very much I am creating a game and I needed a chrouch button and now I have on so thank you
fort some strange reason its not leting me connect the wire to the keyframe
edit: I was was just being dumb
I honestly dont have a clue why :(
The only reason i can think of is if you have too many wires in a scene.
@@RealMrLazy thanks a lot. Im just glad you figured it out. Its got a steep learning curve, so just stick with it. You will get it.
@@AntTonyPony hey i got another question how do I make it so you need to hold the button so crouch?
@@RealMrLazy dont use the signal manipulator. Just plug the button you are using to crouch directly into keyframe.
@@AntTonyPony oh that's not what I meant, I mean, how do you hold it down for like 2 seconds and get like a prone animation.
