    Fluff. So, what actually happened during orientation? Drug test, CDL Medical, or you get those before you go? Physical test? Road test? Is there a chain class? What you said was fluff, no info. Garbage.

    I loved working for Pride Transport! I have worked for them several times and been through orientation many times and learn something every time!

      Thank you for sharing this information. I'm starting soon and I'd like to know more about the benefits of being a veteran and working at Pride transport.

    • @survivorneerstrucktalk
      @survivorneerstrucktalk  9 місяців тому

      @Juanewhitley Pride definitely appreciates veterans but in my experience working there and me being a veteran myself, there was no significant benefit or incentive for veterans. I hope Pride will change this in the future.

      What type of drug test they do ?

      @a.gbeatz9966 I’m not sure what they do now because I’m no longer working there. But about a year 1 1/2 ago when I took it I believe it was urine and hair.

    Me and the wife are looking for a good company. Ive been a otr driver for 24 yrs and recently gave it up but might come back out awhile for something to do..

      I’ve heard that when you truck drive for a while, then stop, you might miss some of it. It’s challenging now a days to find a good consistent company. I think it comes down to what you value the most for yourself as a truck driver.

    Will they hire me with an automatic restriction on my cdl ?

    • @survivorneerstrucktalk
      @survivorneerstrucktalk  Рік тому +1

      Being that Pride and most companies have gone automatic primarily, I don’t believe it’s an issue. But of course confirm with a recruiter. You can ask for Tessa when you call Pride Recruiting and she can certainly answer this. Hope this helps!

    I thought you were in working at Crete. What happened there at Crete??

    • @survivorneerstrucktalk
      @survivorneerstrucktalk  Рік тому +2

      Hi William! My partner and I are Teaming temporarily with a different company until she gets the experience. Crete requires at least 1 year experience for teams. But I’m hoping to get back soon before the end of the year!

    • @williampeters6004
      @williampeters6004 Рік тому +2

      Ok. So you still are a Crete fan I'm hoping because Crete sounds as good as the place your speaking about.
      My daughter wants to possibly come to work for Crete. Do you have an idea of how much experience a newer driver has to have to come to Crete??

    • @williampeters6004
      @williampeters6004 Рік тому +2

      Also do you have any suggestion as to what school to go to to get into trucking?
      I have had my cdl license since 1987 so I have no idea what people have for options these days

    • @survivorneerstrucktalk
      @survivorneerstrucktalk  Рік тому +1

      I’m certainly still a Crete fan! I believe minimum experience for Crete is 1 year tractor trailer. As far as a trucking CDL school, Schneider is a very popular one. I believe they train in house. It’s worth looking into for aspiring truck drivers. It could be a good start just to get CDL license and experience.

      Do you know if they make you sign an agreement that you will stay with them for 1 or 2 years?
      It's my daughter so I worry for her. You can relate I'm sure

      @@lariouiamjad Cool! They will start you at about 57 cpm at Pride with your experience. I think its pretty good. But once you get 1 year you will have better options. I’m teaming with Pride so I can’t say for sure about solo miles. But from talking with solo drivers, they should be getting around 2500-3000 miles.

    What’s your home time like for Pride?

    • @survivorneerstrucktalk
      @survivorneerstrucktalk  11 місяців тому +1

      So far my home-time has been very flexible due to letting my dispatch manager know what I prefer. However, I’m team driving staying about 3 weeks out and 1 week off. Depending on the route home-time is weekly or every 2-3 weeks. But having a good relation with dispatch helps to let them know how important it is.
