  • Hi Guys!
Today, I'm reacting to the newest one from JONATHAN YOUNG, featuring COLM MCGUINNESS & MATTHEW HEAFY with their METAL COVER of the song "I SEE FIRE", originally sung by ED SHEERAN.
This is such a badass cover, the complete oposite vibe from the original version, which is a ballad.

Colm, pronounced column, is an Irish singer who is absolutely outstanding. He sings Irish folk songs, does covers with his own little forms, has recently done celtic rock, and even has a few songs that he can actually sing in ancient norse. For his The Hobbit Misty mountains cover, he actually used the movies made up language "khuzdul" for it.

Jonathon did those low notes in the beginning, he is a bass singer who specializes in throat bass (its a beat boxing technique) Also, i would recommend looking into colm McGuiness he is an exceptional singer who can do bass and tenor.

As a beatboxer I am happy to see one of my favorite artists using a beatboxing technique. W

If you don't know until now, the last person entering was Matthew Heafy lead singer of the band Trivium (you may heard of them ;-p )
Colm McGuinnes is a irish singer as far as I know.....which explains the little accent, which in my opinion adds to the cover :)
I enjoyed your reaction, keep up the good work my man ^^

Great reaction video! New subscriber here. Watching you, made me aware of how I physically appear when I react to Jonathan Young, and other metal music, lol. I love this cover so much more than the squeaky Ed Sheeran original, no offense to Ed. I like my music with more... balls. More energy!

It is the Hobbit, people tend to lump them together. Which to be fair the story does end with Frodo in the lord of the rings after he passes the ring to Frodo.
