I'm new to fishing and bought some of these at the suggestion of a veteran fisherman co-worker. My 13 y.o. son and I tied a few on and went trolling, never having done it before. On our first time out we caught several fish, including: yellow perch, walleye, northern pike, and a white bass...all on Salmo Hornet #4 baits, with Viking and Hot Perch being the most hit colors. In the several weeks since, it's been more of the same while trolling, and we also have caught: bullhead, smallmouth & largemouth bass, and freshwater drum. As if that wasn't enough, we took those same Hornet 4's and did a little short-distance casting under a bridge and caught: more smallmouth, more largemouth, plus rock bass, bluegill, and pumpkinseed. There may be others I'm missing, but that's 9 different species for one make/model of lure. Being new to it all, I'm not sure if that's normal productivity for many other lures or not, but I doubt I'll bother trying to find out. I'm sold on these!

Love these little crankbaits. The 4.5 and original hornet 4 trolling just gets it done. They catch everything from bluegill to musky!

I have 100s of baits and the hornets are the only bait I run its a walleye killer
