Hey bat, like your vids but came across this but I gotta disagree. I wound up taking military off my contract b/c they start poking around without violatig Userra to see if you're gonna be a reliable candidate.
Hello sir, I’m enlisting in the Army Reserves and I will be leaving for BCT on Feb 12th. I heard that if you have 24 hours of college credits then you will enlist as E-2. I do have more than 24 hours of college credits but somehow they said that my pay grade would be just E-1. Is that a mistake? And is there anyway that they can fix it before I leave for BCT?
That is something to ask your unit about. You already signed the contract, so you are in the military since you are reserves. It is not really possible to just get a new contract unless you got discharged. My guard unit has told me that they can promote after you sign the contract from within the unit for such circumstances.
@@phucpham6859 Phuc Pham I just had my first drill today for the Army National Guard, the RSP, and we did have a chance to mark down anything that would get us promoted. I got my promotion in my enlistment contract, so I did not need to do this. But I would contact your recruiter about it, and they should know what to do, it is just a matter of if they want to. As far as I know the Army Reserves does not have RSP, so you would not be able to do it during RSP.
Talk to your recruiter. Same thing happened to me. Give them your college credits and they can change it in the system. As long as you don't leave before basic. Also tell them to give you a copy of your promotion papers that shows proof you got promoted due to your college credits. If the changes is still not visible by then, during reception you will do a lot of paperwork. You can get a chance there to change it but only if you show them proof. If during basic, when you receive some paperwork and it still doesn't have your rank changed, your drill sergeant can also help you. Try to get it change before AIT cause even though it is possible to get it changed there, it's a pain in the ass to request it since you're going to have to go to an Reserves office and the process is different and longer.
A V bro what is the best job in the reserves where I can come back home to a good job? I saw on a UA-cam a guy joined the guard & his MOS was fire protection & came back home got a job as a fire fighter at 18 making 70k a year with just military boot camp experience. I want to do something similar. What do u suggest! HELP ME ASAP
So not true at all. Been unemployed for now 3 months interviewed with 6 different companies in various supply chain planning roles. During my in person interviews they asked about my time that I would have to serve and I observed that hesitation on their faces. I've been turned down everytime so far where they optioned for kids straight out of college than I with over 5years of experience with a degree. I strongly recommend to you all DO NOT enlist or commission in the Rerserves or NG. They will keep you from being employed or not. Also if you want to rank up, you need to take schooling in the services to do so. That will require you to volunteer yourself to go on orders by choice and employers do not take that lightly. If you are in currently and value your career where it is you main source of income like 98% then just do the bare min and get out when contract and focus on your real career.
This stuff of yours does help me because I’m going to college and I’m supposed to get a job In the future but I really want to join the military and I’m similar to you with this we’re if I’m going to join the military it will only be the reserve and I would be happy with the opportunity’s it gots

John Daman Can I directly contact my unit and discuss with them about that? Or do I have to leave it to my recruiter? Thank you for the answer.
Go work federal they will work with you for sure
I applied for a Human Resources position to join the army reserves, is it with it?
My boss said I would be resigning for joining the reserves, he would not hold my position for some reason🥺lol
Isn’t that illegal in his part?
What are the chances of getting deployed while in college as a reservist?
Daniel Roman depends on your unit you gotta ask them
I just went to rsp and now I don't even wanna be in the military lol.
It will get better, I can assure you. Especially once you are finished with all of your training.
What is the highest position that we can start our army career ??
E4 in the enlisted side or O1 on the officer side.
