Great presentation young lady. I have many pieces of the PC stoneware and love them. I bake alot and never yet to have anything stick. I season mine well before using, and things seem to just get better with time, as you said. Thanks for your video.
Thank you for this video. It was very educational. I'm a young guy looking to upgrade his cooking equipment and skills and this was a wonderful and easy way to learn about stoneware!
Your rectangle stone looks like the one I bought in 1993! So dark, nothing ever stuck to it. Sadly, someone st mine on top of a hot stove and it broke into three pieces. I cried at the thought of having just lost a dear friend of about 25 years. I got a new stone, of course, but had to start that seasoning all over again. Now, PC has new StoneFusion stoneware that has unglazed pieces that are dishwasher safe! How exciting!
Thank you for the tips! Absolutely love our stoneware! We have jut received two new pieces ,(we have two different sizes of cookie sheets that we have been using for years), and this was some great tips for uses and maintaining!! Thanks for taking time to share!!
I inherited a large bowl like yours and have no idea what I'd use it for, everything I can think of I ultimately decide I'd prefer it spread out more. Really wish you'd mentioned something you use yours for. Any suggestions?
Hi I loved your video and I have several of the older stoneware. The mini bowl you had on the table that was clean you use it for making what in it. I have one that never used yet because I do not know for what. Can you advise me?
Have just watched about 4 other videos on how to clean my pizza stone. This was the most thorough one so far...an abundance of information. Wish I'd found this one first! Thank you so much. 💚😊💚
We have a small, toaster oven size, piece that has been used for nearly 20 years and it is seriously one of the best pieces of cookware that we have. It basically looks like a piece of cast iron at this point and nonstick didn't even begin to describe it.
I love this! I just turned 20 and just got my first cast iron skillet. My fam has had the rectangle stoneware one since I can remember. I hope mine look like yours in the future!!
We have been using this stuff for 20,000 years. Twenty Thousand Years! To funny :) I just made some from my own clay and need to cure it. Thankyou for all the info!
Best choice for health too. Especially for men or women past menopause. No excess iron with these. The patinas are oxidised and polymerised fats right? Filling the pores to produce a relatively nonstick surface as with seasoned cast iron. Not sure if you would get aldehydes from that stuff over time oxidising away though. Only above 400 odd degrees C I would have thought. Quite a few toxins are produced from certain oils during heating. Seasoned stone is definitely not as bad as metals like aluminium, iron or copper 🤔
I have a brand new unglazed stoneware pie pan I got years ago and I wanted to make cinnamon rolls today. My pan has never been used do I need to put anything g on it so the cinnamon rolls wont stick? Thank you
One of the best things about stoneware is that it’s ready to go as soon as you take it out of the box-no preseasoning required! Just clean it and start cooking. As you cook, your stone will develop a natural nonstick seasoning. The darker your stone looks, the better it cooks. If you want to build the seasoning quickly, make high-fat foods like refrigerated biscuits or cookies the first few times you use the stone.
Just saved one from the trash today. How do you suggest I clean it? Has oil spots, and the top has spotty glaze on 1/3 of surface as if it was stored and air was corrosive.
My wife accidentally left her P.C. stone bar pan out over night, with baking powder in it, and a mouse decided to make "Buddhist sand art" in it..... (talk about being pissed). Is it ok to use some antibacterial soap on it or should it be thrown away? Thank you so much.
it's perfectly fine, just clean it with HOT water. Soap won't hurt the stoneware. Cleaning stoneware is even easier than using it. All you need is a little hot water and a pan scraper-no soap required! Food particles, juices, and soap won’t soak into the stones since they’re virtually nonporous. Wait until your stone is completely cooled, then use the scraper to remove any food debris. You can deep clean it with a baking soda paste, so even cleanup is 100% natural. www.pamperedchef.com/pws/hpingleton/stoneware-collection
I got a, the pampered chef round baker number 115 Can you tell me anything about it? It appears to be unglazed and very similar to the round when your mom gave you. Any information would be helpful. It is unglazed.
Caution! I watched this video, I had a pizza stone that hadn't been used for some time. I used the baking soda paste. About an hour later I used out and it cracked in half!

You might want to contact Pampered Chef. I only say this because you said it was stored and the air was corrosive.
How or where do you store them when you aren’t using them
I store all my Pampered Chef stoneware in their original boxes. I have them set vertically on the pantry shelf so they are easy to get to.
My wife accidentally left her P.C. stone bar pan out over night, with baking powder in it, and a mouse decided to make "Buddhist sand art" in it..... (talk about being pissed).

Same thing happened to me. I threw it away, I thing they have life warranty. I did not think of keeping it and look for pc representative.☹️
You have to let it air dry thoroughly before putting into heat, or they will crack almost everytime
As of Sept 1st... Pampered chef has new Stoneware. Psssst..... It’s dishwasher safe.

This can't be sanitary 🤢
They are much more sanitary and natural than all the metal pans and chemicals on non sticks
