There's actually a message behind the song it's pretty much about the media and police making criminal famous. Hints the beginning of the video where he shot the kid and the old lady clapping and laughing

I like that take when I first saw the beginning it just resonated in my head like “yeah that’s pretty much how gun advocates act when things like this happen” like ho Alex Jones said sandy hook was a hoax, it feels like it’s a show to them and their guns are more important than life.

I would say totally the opposite as you guys: Kim Dracula has his own unique style because literally NO ONE sounds like him. I've been trying to find music similar to his but again, no one can make music with so much genres in it. This guy is a genius for me.

My take is for the fat guy take your feelings out of it. Does it sound good? Then it’s good. It took me a few listens to let it sink in all the way but I’m addicted I’ve been listening to the new album nonstop. Also korn endorsed these guys and even featured in the song 70 thorns and this will really trigger mr fat man but Kim out performed korn in the song by far.
Also their first tour this year they get avenged sevenfold touring with them.
It’s the first band I’m buying the whole album not just 1-2 songs.

This grind my gears. Young artists. It's so hard for young musicians these days to really find what other people think is a new sound without being compared to everybody else before them. Those of us that been though the era when this "new" sounds came around. With amazing new techniques and sounds. But the younger generation right now can't even explore anything without being commented to the older generation. "Oh but this person did this or this person did that before you even were born. You're trying to hard, do something new."
It's disturbing to me and makes me feel really bad for the young who just want to explore themselves and their music without getting the boot.

You guys are focusing too much on the sound itself, and not giving the message enough credit. It is a song about a broken society and it’s casual ability to publicize and almost glorify mass shootings. It talks about how always, we allow the shooter sympathy and try to push that they are mentally i’ll and need more love as if that is a appropriate response to someone who just murdered dozens of innocent people.
The video is meant to play into this as well, as it’s so violent but you can’t look away because you’ve become desensitized to these things. It goes further to bring attention to how the police have become militarized and the officers sometimes are looking for reasons to use violence. The song was made and ready, then the elementary school shooting in texas happened, so some stuff was removed from the imagery. The sound is fluid, and blends countless genres flawlessly, which plays well into the gender fluidity portrayed by the vocalist.
Since you guys were so fixed on the sound, it’s worth bringing up that Kim Dracula makes all their music themselves, there is no band. It is the main singer who makes all the beats, plays all the instruments, mixes and masters everything. This is someone SUPER talented, and their ability to convey this message and hit it right on the head, accompanied by cinema quality videography and imagery is what makes this song so important, and endlessly impressive.
I just discovered this artist yesterday, and I have been obsessed with this video since. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is a real rare piece of music to find especially now when everything is so similar sounding.

      Greetings:
I have been seeing these type of responses on similar "react" videos, and the Virgo in me felt the need to express my thoughts. I would like to start off by saying I love the song and I truly think Kim Dracula will go far if he continues his art. Further, you feel the need to explain your interpretation of the video as if that is the ONLY reason the guy in the react video (Kyle; guy on the right side of the video) mentioned he wasn't feeling it. Sometimes, there is just a factual conclusion of not liking it, even if they knew every detail of the intention and what the video was supposed to be "playing" into. He even mentions several times that he believe Kim Dracula is talented.
Artists such as Marilyn Manson, Mr. Bungle, Korn and MANY more have applied this type of approach before; that was mainly why he (Kyle in the react video) was rubbed the wrong way, so to speak. Again, it doesn't take away from the talent, production and message; it just has been done before. I'm sure you have heard of the Columbine tragedy and the documentary: "Bowling for Columbine". Marilyn Manson discusses a similar topic regarding glorifying mass shootings. This by no means concludes that no one else is allowed to create art further bringing attention to the topic in a creative and ironic way; just don't "defend" artists you like the second someone doesn't like one of their songs with opinions that make you sound like you're claiming "they" (artists that you like and more specifically Kim Dracula in this example) were the first ones to ever come up with such a brilliant idea. I'm open to further discussion. This isn't meant to be an insult or disagreement; more of an observation. Take care.

Man, y'all are around my age (I'm 45), and we have similar years from when we grew up with music, but this reaction gave off so much "old man yelling at clouds"/"kids these days" vibes. Like, you could physically see the guy on the right shut down within the first 30 seconds. Didn't bother to try to connect with the words or the video, just "noped" out.
Look, it's very easy for older musicians, like us (been playing live music for 30 years), to become jaded in what we consider "good music" when we hear new music. I personally find Kim Dracula as refreshing as when I first heard Mr Bungle in 92, and when I first heard Katatonia in 2012. Just loving music for the experience it provides.

Y'all really just went hardcore at "the video the video the video" and "it's kinda sounds like" without reading the lyrics and realizing 1+1=2 here. The police system is broke, cops look for reasons to shoot people and commit atrocities, we make mass murders famous on a national scale bare minimum, and your only focus was the video was a tad bit uncomfy and some of the sounds were familiar.
Maybe it's an age gap thing or a desensitization thing, but this wasn't an uncomfy video for me. It's a stern and harsh commentary on an ugly reality, like shoving a dog's nose in its own shit it's not meant to be a ~gentle push~ but a wits end shove in the right direction. As a 21-year-old who was forced to watch people jump on 9/11 every year (at school), the JFK assassination uncensored (at school), and then multiple school shooting videos on the news or live streamed online in the wild west eras of the internet, this ain't shit.
But y'all being uncomfortable is a good thing, it means you're not so desensitized to watching people get shot through a screen still makes you feel something.

The message of the song is about how it seems like everyone wants to be famous through mass shootings, mayhem and murder. You should really see the video Drown. Give them another chance!

Well this song in particular uses multi genre sounds. But I mean who else has done that. Sure there have been bands that take the sound of just one. But to take multiple genres and to infuse them into one song?? Id recommend you listen to Drown now. Maybe even Killdozer or Say Please.

I'm sure this is a criticism of society, where what matters is being famous at all costs. In terms of music, it's chaotic and has a lot of influences from the 90s, but that's art. There is nothing new under the sun and finding what is yours is the experience and a mesh of everything that influences you. I think Kim has a unique way of creating music and interacting with many genres. But it's not really for everyone. I'm still trying to absorb the album... you should try listening to the new single "superhero". I think it's fantastic

So at first react it is hard to take in the music and the video ( you have to focus on one and miss the other)....the song is really going after media and legal system making bad people famous ( definitely have to look up lyrics)....and I can definitely see the 90s feel of NIN, Korn, Def tones ect....but as some one that's nerodivergent I enjoy the heck outta it because you get get that type of music anymore. Let alone in one song

I think it's more a reflection of gun owner bias of a 80s/90s kid I'm guessing. Look up the lyrics. That's where this song sets things straight. By those standards Marylin Mansion isn't original either as he copied David bowie, The Cure and Alice Cooper. Jay Hawkins passed it to Alice, then Alice passed shock rock to the next generation (Marylin). Now I believe it's passed to the next generation... Kim. Though it is refreshing to have a reaction of this video from a different cultural perspective. Just sad to see someone write off a creative person this way. Peace ✌️

The music video is on the killer's perspective but the lyrics is about the opposite. like how people idolised the mass murder for no reason. "Celebrity status, just for murdering people".

Really look at the lyrics there's nothing wrong with not liking something but to so blindly gloss over its message is disappointing to see. Also originality is hard so many artists take inspiration from other artists there's no need to be so offended over it

AWFUL React! Im sorry but yall need to read the lyrics before yall criticize the song. "Be original"? Like come on, yall need to step up. Also I know Trap Metal is def not yalls kind of thing but the reason he's so good is because of the many styles and sounds he combines to make this song. The dude on the right who thinks himself a rock enthusiast needs to expand his horizons and see what other music is out there. Slipknot is a fantastic band but to compare everything to them is ridiculous. I know yall have been around the block a while but damn go check out Ghostmane, SuicideBoyz, and especially KillDyll. Kim Dracula is the next top artist for Trap Metal.

They can definitely sing and scream, but I agree that the sound wasn’t original. As for the video, I think, as Americans, we have a different relationship with guns and with mass shootings. So, whenever I see artists from other countries with those themes in their videos, it doesn’t sit right with me but I know enough to not be offended. Cultural differences.
