I came into the canto expecting amazing vocal performances from the main cast, but I really didn't expect the unnamed survey bloodfiend to go that hard. he gave me chills, and it's overall become one of the most memorable bits of the game to me :)
The Priest, also known as the Curate, was a secondary character in the original Don Quixote novel who attempted to find a remedy for Don Quixote's madness with the help of the Barber. During the knight's first return to his home village, the Priest and the Barber raided his vast library, containing countless tales of knight adventurers and chivalry. Understanding this to be the source of Don Quixote's madness, the Priest had a majority of the books tossed out and burned, though he made exceptions for priceless texts or personal favorites. They then sealed and plastered over the entire library room, and when Don Quixote awoke to find nothing where his library once stood, he determined that it was the work of enchanters who sought to bring his downfall due to his fame as a knight errant.
Learning more through these stages, how these Bloodfiends lived, it makes me feel really sorry for them. With how this "king" wanted peace in the story, and seeing how La Manchaland isn't the peaceful place it might've once been. A failed attempt at peace, truly pitiful. I feel especially bad for Casetti and that Surprised Bloodfiend in the Spooooooky Bloody Mary; Casetti was able to get out and potentially could've lived his own life outside of these attractions, but we put an end to his brief moment of freedom, while that unnamed Bloodfiend sought the same but couldn't even achieve the same opportunity. It's all just so pitiful, just like everything else in the City. Don't take the peace you live in for granted, I guess. Anyways, great work as always, Executive Foreman~
21:35 weeeeeeelll, you see, if bloodfiends were not human, would the head not purge them? just going by the fact that they are allowed in the city, I think that calling bloodfiends "human" is not wrong
The Originator/Progenitor -> 1st Kindreds ->(can only make two) 2nd Kindreds ->(only two) et cetera. I only mention this because Don is a 2nd, and you mention Originator a bit. I can't tell if you're intentionally choosing to say originator or just mixing them up, but I think regardless you understand what's happening. I hope you continue to enjoy Canto 7! :)
Canto 7 Battle Theme D my beloved. ❤ I have it saved to my phone, I just love how it almost sounds like a mix of Don's usual energy and then the more quiet parts with percussion that sound a little like the Leviathan leitmotif are more like Dante - makes me imagine they're having fun dancing together!~
I like that you find it entertaining to play with Tremor. This status really is transformed from a nothingburger into the most complex status with a bunch of different ways of utilizing it.
20:43 I just want you to take a quick note of something. The tales about waves and tragic lovers... It can be interpreted as the events of Canto V and Canto VI. Just keep note of that.
18:19-18:21 being atleast one of the those sweaty nerds i get annoyed because of something you seem and others seem to fail to pick up on the difference of a first kindred and a progenitor or as i called them originator because i forgot that word existed don quixote is 2nd kindred so unless we meet a first kindred and he isnt the leader of the operation in la manchaland i dont think we would meet the Progenitor in here after all all of the first kindred came from him stuff like this makes me believe people are truly illiterate when comes to understanding of the text though im not that much better since i only notice things on rewatches and subtext is lost on me for the most part 24:57 to make this even clear they established Progenitor had alot of kindreds more than 2 unlıke his kindred who only settled with 2 per generation barber is 3rd kindred

smh. Moses and Ezra even had a picture showing how Bloodfiend Family Trees work and explained how the Rule of Two was only applied after creating the First Kindreds. If the Rule of Two exist beforehand, there wouldn't be a Bloodfiend Family in every District.
