@@gearedupgarage I know the feeling from model railways! Later this year I'm going to attach the street scene backscene to plywood to stop it bending. I've temporarily attached it to a tree stake!

I just picked up a 2011 8j and man does the stock system (flatscreen model) sound flat. Very disappointed considering what that must have cost new. Is this a speaker problem or a head unit? Both?

Hi mate, so after doing the speakers on mine on this video I was a little bit disappointed in the output so it's both. You need a good head unit to deliver a good ampage out to the speakers and then good speakers to play the music from. I would recommend putting a third party subwoofer in it as well. Xtrons units r very very quiet
