Hello there! I just stumbled across this video and I am glad I did. I ride a '17 Trophy SE that I bought new. I absolutely love this bike. I agonized between this and the BMW RT and I am very pleased with the decision to go with the Trophy. I love the triple engine and I wanted to do just a little something like this to it. Someone on a forum mentioned this slip-on and I have been curious about it but was a little hesitant to spend the money. Now that I see this I get the general idea and I really like how it sounds. Looks great, too. I may do it after all while I still can! Thanks for sharing this, Sir.
Great feedback. If you send me your email, I can send you a video i did last summer where I was on the road behind my house, ripping back and forth while my girlfriend video me. The sound is amazing. I plan on putting it on you tube shortly as well... 🙂
I put a delvokic exhaust on mine I think it was like 20lb lighter than the stock exhaust. When I pull the baffle out it really sounds good, but the rear seat navigator said it gave her an headache. Looking forward to getting some riding in this year and hoping the border is open getting tired of riding Alberta and BC roads 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Agreed.... need a trip to Idaho! 🐍'y Thinking of trailering the bike to Osoyoos Mid-April. Ride hwy 3 to Hope day 1 and hwy 33 to Kelowna day 2. You and the Miss's should join Heidi and I.
Grampa George - I agree... I think I might keep an eye on a low km one in the future as a spare.... I just don’t think you can find anything that compares... 🤷🏼♂️... and if something did come out it would be $35,000... so for 1/2 the price.....
Love your videos! I currently have a Harley Davidson Fatboy. Looking to trade it for a 2015 triumph trophy. It has 17,000 miles on it. Just wondering about Triumph reliability. Any issues with yours?
Hi! Enjoy your vids. I'm thinking of getting a trophy SE for my next tour in August( hopefully this virus thing will be gone!)(stay safe everyone!) I ride a Suzuki GSX 1250fa at the moment, so I'm experienced with a big engine. I'm just abit worried if I will notice or can I handle the extra 40kgs of weight on the trophy(300kg) over the Suzuki(260kg) or is it not an issue. Could you tell me what you think please. Many thanks and safe riding! Tom.
larrysupersport - I get it Larry. I have been riding a ton this year and the sound with the core out is absolutely amazing and is such a treat.... you will leave the core out... I guarantee it. 😁
@@thetriumphknight4257 The only problem was the wire harness for the ignition switch was to short that caused a failure.I think that was a recall. And the shifter bolt, its just too small, corrosion builds up and it snaps off in the case. The same thing will happen if you drop the bike,I drilled and tapped it and used a larger shoulder bolt, then I put a bronze bushing in the shifter itself,no problem since.
Just bought a trophy myself. Sad they quit making them. Looking forward to lots of miles :) . Good video !
I am starting to look for an aftermarket exhaust to give me few extra pounds of torque. Great video buddy 🎉
Thanks man!

G Man - no issues at all... so happy with it man!
None with mine either. I have had mine going on 4 years now.
Any idea of the weight saving over the stock exhaust ? Cheers.
gopher1471 - I would say 10 lbs for sure
@@thetriumphknight4257 Thanks, a worthwhile weight saving.

Thomas Gilvarry - awesome!!!
Thomas Gilvarry - I think you will find it surprising how well the 40 lbs is hidden. Just go shred some tires!!! 😁
I think for a long touring bike, I prefer the core IN. I would be afraid that it would be too much with it out.

My 2014 has a Pipe Werx exhaust, run it with no baffle as well.
Grampa George - you should do a video on how that sounds 👍🏽👍🏽
@@thetriumphknight4257 Thats a good idea, got nothing better to do with Corona and all!
Grampa George - so very true!
