Thought it was a solid 8/10 ppv three way and hanger and willow where all fun and the main event was a great angle to set the show up going forward. Not for everyone but I thought it was great.
What is the reason for Mathew Jackson wearing more and more pearls?? Is it a reference to something or is he teasing aomething? Or am i just thinking too much about it??
It's a fashion thing among certain of the trendy at the minute, the pearls on men. Think the Bucks taking it OTT is a bit, like Seth with some of the outfits.
This PPV is the perfect example of having to 'stick the landing'. A lot of people are hating on Wrestledream as a whole purely down to the main event. It goes to show that what happens last on a card - whether it be the match itself , the result of the main event or even an angle that happens at the end of the show - is what sticks with fans and forms their opinion of the event as a whole. Wrestledream as a whole was a decent PPV, not amazing, but had plenty of solid matches and some high spots - mjf/swerve/Coles return, a new champion, good storytelling for Ospreay going forward, a solid opener between Hangman and White, a fun 2 out of 3 falls match. Overall the event was decent - b the main event is what left a sour taste in people's mouths and as such the event has been getting shit on. In comparison - Bad Blood. The event as a whole was a dud. Excellent opening match but the rest of the card was full of botched and average matches. The main event was boring right until the closing moments. But then The Rock returned for a 10 second staredown and the majority of fans were chomping at the bit to tell everyone how exciting the PPV was. All because of how the event ended. When people look back at PPVs in years gone by, what do they recall? It's the main event and what happens at the end of the show: "Oh that's where Cody won the gold." "Thats where The Rock returned" "That's where Seth cashed in" Unless something truly important or iconic happens during a PPV, the fans over time forget what happens mid event - but they can probably recall what the main event was. Thats why it's important to stick the landing when closing out a show. Wrestledream was a better PPV than Bad Blood. But I doubt history will remember it that way.
I think sure aew can fix things. Such as wwe and anywhere really. But I think the problem, and someone did mention it, people and I mean everyone is talking about aew like its the worst thing ever and all the ones who turned on wwe during their worse time have now switched over to just talking down aew rather good reasons or not it's the hot thing to do now is to try to take it down. And THAT is the problem. And imma guess I'm a couple years the love wwe has now will switch once again cause you can already see cracks and aew is gonna be praised and then it'll switch again. And again and go back and forth back and forth
Completely agree, wrestling internet has always had a suite of prevailing consensus opinions that changes with the fortunes of the industry and the performers and everyone always latches onto them like it's an identity until those opinions go off-trend, then they pretend they never had them. Cyclical contrarianism.

It feels like regular viewers are now being punished for their viewership by consistently dropping storylines, changing shit with no explanation, etc. I fully believe that aew has storylines, they’re just boring and sloppy at the moment. Matches were great but I won’t remember any of them except the main event because none of them mattered (to me or apparently the creative minds in aew)
Young talent like Jon Moxley is definitely who they should have had Bryan put over by losing the title and having retire him 😂 This company is trash, man.
If mediocrity is the standard than they hit their mark. Still some of the most poorly written wrestling. And I have zero issue with the main event. Other than, imo, Mox just doesn't do it for me. His wanna be gangsta walk is comical. Still the bottom shield member. Get mad. 😢
