Motive is to produce best chips that can fit all the purposes & can be exported to other parts of the world as an new player if their motive is to just to do copy paste & just to produce those copy paste then why " Vedantha " we can pull in existing players like foxconn, TSMC to make in india. Even in india we are using flagship smart phones how can he justify that " We don't need cutting edge technology " i know it's complex & need years of experience & lots of funds but it's not the technology is new to stick @ 28 or 22 it's a decade old technology and we know when the technology gets old the cost to build will be less but good thing is we atleast have an indian company who's into this.

Modi is a very cunning and a biased person. He is the Prime Minister of India, but his pro Gujarat stance is clearly visible and is totally unacceptable. Modi is discriminating against many other states and diverting projects meant to come up in those states to his home state of Gujarat for quite sometime. actions which are absolutely disgraceful and disgusting. People of all highly industrialized states (Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Karnataka etc) other than Gujarat and all the mineral rich states (Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh) must be aware and careful of all these. I am giving few examples below. Over last few years Modi and Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav are diverting all railway manufacturing projects to Gujarat. Indian Railway's locomotive manufacturing plant which was supposed to come up in Telengana, Alsthom and Bombardier Coach and Metro Railway Rake Manufacturing plant have come up in Gujarat. Raw materials like steel, aluminium, copper, are being taken from Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and used for manufacturing in those railway plants. These plants could have been set up in those Mineral Rich states. It is pathetic to note that Vaishnav the Railway and Information Technology Minister who is elected to the Rajya Sabha from Orissa is working against the interest of Orissa. So far Vaishnav has not brought a single big ticket investment to Orissa either in terms of Information Technology or Railway Projects. Now these two have hijacked the phenomenally big Foxconn Vedanta project which was supposed to come up in Talegaon in Maharashtra and diverted the same to Gujarat. Anil Agarwal was forced to take that decision by Modi and Vaishnav. Also when General Motors stopped manufacturing in India Modi and Gujarat Government cleverly invited Chinese Automobile Manufacturing Company MG Motors to take over the Boroda Plant. However when General Motors stopped manufacturing in the Talegaon Plant near Pune a Chinese Automobile Manufacturing Company Great Wall Motors showed keen interest to take over the plant. However Modi and team prevented the Maharashtra Government in handing over this plant to the Chinese Company on the pretext of Galwan Skirmish and border dispute with China. The Talegaon Plant is still shut down and thousands of employees of the Company, ancillary units, suppliers, service providers and transporters are jobless. Recently Ford Motor Company has closed down both the Chennai Plant and Sanand Plant. Modi very cleverly persuaded Tata Motors to take over the Ford Sanand plant in Gujarat. The Ford Chennai Plant continues to be shut down. Modi is hell bent on destroying the industrial activities and industrial environment in highly industrialized and manufacturing intensive states of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka. I hope that good citizens of Moharashtra Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telengana and other states would understand the implications of such policies of Modi favouring his home state of Gujarat. Therefore many Gujrathis say that out of these grudges the plant was hijacked to Gujrath. All of the above claims by the Gujrathis have been proven false by evidences.

we should atleast target for 10nm chipset .
Excellent.....
Semiconductor = Neno(TATA)
Nano doing comeback with electric option
... nanos electric copy sold record breaking in China ! Tata 😁 motors soon will show Newly created electric nano under 10 lakh
Vedanta will never bring chip manufacturing factory to TN
TN ....i bet india ka koi corney ma semiconductor factory nhi lagne wala😂😂😂...totally waste company
@@sanjukr3315 already there is ic and semiconductor fabs in Tamil Nadu
Water consumption is huge for fab makers. states who are planning to invite these investors need to study the environmental impact. we already have example of taiwan
it can be easily resolved as well.

Dude meant Reverse Engineering.
Its not Reverse Engineering. Its not always necessary to redesign the wheel! why choose something else and break your heads building and designing from scratch, when there are already tried-and-tested options available! Time is of the essence and we can't lose that in order to mass-produce
It's not reverse engineering rather a technology transfer. It's better to start somewhere if you don't have full expertise on something. Thing about India pharmaceutical industry 40 years ago. We exactly started with licencing the drugs formula from West and manufacturing here in india and now we are Pharma capital of the world. Be positive brother. It's better start now then never.
we nee cutting edge technology
Why not these companies invest in Bihar
well explained..
Three years is a very long time
Not at all actually
0:51 1.4 billion people are 15% of world population not 24%
That's what I was thinking 😂
Govt should make industries in north instead of south .
Govt neglect up and bihar always . Dear govi we are also India
Because North india doesn't have the High skilled labour required for semiconductor manufacturing...North people mostly want govt job they don't have the mindset to work in Pvt companies also South india is well connected to the sea which becomes easier for transportation compared to North india which is mostly landlocked.
Then who will work in railway 🤣
I just subscribed
Lost it when he said we don't need cutting edge & we just need copy paste that isn't what we are looking for this program.
Absolutely if we haven't start today ,it's impossible to think of semiconductor fab in india
Cutting edge is made by TSMC. Once we gain expertise in " cheap" yet complex and very important 60+nm chips we can move towards less than 28nm ones.
Lol u cannot learn how to multiply without knowing how to count first . U can’t run without knowing how to walk first . U can’t understand medicine without knowing physio patho and pharma .
Ur comment makes no sense, also the new edge tech is guarded by tsmc .
We have to start somewhere, ie why we are targetting 28-65nm.A/c to IT minister, image about India is still not good among investors and abt our infrastructure. So ,minister said, we have to start somewhere to gain confidence. Also right now most investments are being made world wide in 28 nm.
I will recommend u to read more on this.
@@mayankm5200 exactly bro ,we can't just jump from zero to cutting edge technology.
Obsolete technology?
Bakth banerji
Copy Paste is the problem. Don't know when we will be able to leave this attitude.
Copy paste in semi conductors isn’t a bad idea to start with , the countries producing 3-5nm have already done this in the past and now they have the required resources and R&D after mastering those bigger nm chips and that’s why they putting in a lot of money in cutting edge tech
We have nothing, better to have some piece of a pie
start somewhere. our own indians are the brains behind the design in other countries, we have the talent and we have started our work. lets learn to appreciate that. in a decade, we will be far ahead.
You didn't understand what he said. You lack technical knowledge.
Its not always necessary to redesign the wheel! why choose something else and break your heads building and designing from scratch, when there are already tried-and-tested options available! Time is of the essence and we can't lose that in order to mass-produce - just because people feel offended by copy-paste!

Reporter has a fake accent
Ladkiyon ki population bahut zyada increase ho jayegii ladkiya ki aabadi bahut zyada hona hai
how is this relevant in this context?
why not cutting edge? why not aim for the eights? why to hold back and feel inferior?
it is just beginning bro wait..... like smartphone manufacturing india will succeed in semiconductor as well

@@sanjukr3315 that is not what i meant. I was talking about people who think they are going to make 7nm nodes as if it is possible. I know pretty clear they aren't going to make anything close to even 22nm nodes because even their own partner doesnt have the tech. The only tech vedanta have is of display since they own lcd substrate company in Korea who supplies to many OEM's. Rest of their claims are just claims they have announced so many things in the past 10years rarely has anything come to fruition.

He is not working like the Prime Minister of India but like the defacto Chief Ministers of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh to some extent. Modi at any given opportunity is talking against China but does not practice what he preaches Make in India. India is increasing its imports from China year on year In the financial year 2021-2022 imports from China is the highest ever and Trade deficit of India has risen. Now India has started importing Wheels of Vande Bharat coaches from China for which orders were earlier given to Ukraine. Against heavy criticism ki Vaishnav has invited bid technical and commercial from the Indian Steel plants for manufacturing wheels. People of all these states must respond to such discrimination appropriately, in the 2024 Parliamentary elections.
