The thing that I still can't figure out is why is that The Rangers have been able to perform in Europe with a decent degree of credit while they can't turn up for games against Celtic (or even Ross County, Dundee, etc.)?
The likes of Benfica would destroy Ross County, Motherwell, Dundee, etc., and probably with a second XI.
It seems to me that The Rangers actually ARE capable of matching European class sides but they look as if they're terrified of a Celtic side that isn't a particularly good one.
Any thoughts?

Rangers player of the year is Jack Butland. Now that is a red flag🚩 . Your goalkeeper is player of the year when you’re mid/lower league team. But no one talked about that. He rescued a woeful defence too many times. Rangers also celebrated a 3-3 draw at HOME to their rivals. Red flag number 2 . The deadwood are so comfortable at your club. Your captain has been on easy street for three years. Unmotivated to work hard, will sprint to take a peno though! It’s a mindset.
If you look at the goals we have conceded against them this season how many can we honestly say were from good play? I can only think of one. Own goals, penalties, mad deflections, poor defensive headers. Just putrid. A great Celtic team would’ve battered us today. We’re just that much poorer.
I feel for Clement with the injuries! They haven’t helped but he continues to still not pick his strongest 11 available. He is skating on thin ice in that regard. But we can’t keep patching managers. Big Summer needed and all the dross gone.

Here's the thing, Celtic were at full strength yesterday. Yet again we were not. For 3 managers now we've been dealing with an injury crisis. We talk about lacking quality, but it's hard to judge how much of it we lack. When you can't play Danilo, Sima, Matondo, Cortes, Jack or Goldson how do you know how far to go recruiting? We can accept injuries as part of the game, but the Rangers injury situation is excessive to the point of being an ever present crisis. We are doing something wrong. imagine going into the split with a full strength, or near full strength squad. Yes, I can't either. It's impossible for us, yet other teams manage to do it just fine.
totally predictable, bad team selection, no midfield, Celtic dominated the game, no fight, no determination,
Silva missed two good chances. If we had a stronger midfield we might have stopped Celtic dominating the game.
Clemente has to take most of the blame.
How many managers do we blame though before we realise the recruitment and standard of player just isn’t good enough?
Clear out needed including the Management. Get McInnes in the door at the end of the season. Yeah, he might not have Euro experience but who cares! Our priority should be to win the domestic league and anything else after that is a bonus.

Unlike many of my brethren, I'm not terribly happy at the moment - at least, not nearly so happy as I should be after a derby win.
That final bit of magic, quality, and ruthlessness required to put the opposition out of their misery has been lacking all season. The quality of football has been tepid at best. The only good bit of news for us, is that Rangers are worse.
If anything, I actually envy your position going into next season more than I do our own. At least you understand as a supporter base that changes must be made. Meanwhile, our loudest, most myopic fans will hang their hat on the latest trophy, and shrug their shoulders when proper competition runs through us as though we were a Sunday league team.
I lobbied hard for Celtic to hire Knudsen from Bodø Glimt or Nancy from Columbus Crew, rather than Brendan. If Rangers were to hire either of those fellas, the East End laughter would come to a screeching halt.
Appreciate the non gloating and realism from yourself. I completely agree although I do believe in Clement, as much as he made personnel mistakes today from the off this is not his team and the ludicrous injury problems weve had all season has been a farce which I feel is a big mitigating factor. It also highlights your point at how poor a title win this is for you lot. You have definitely got away with it this season on multiple levels and improvement is needed much like us. I just hope your board do slack off and penny pinch this summer because we need some serious change in order to win what we want to.
Your a glass half empty type of guy m8 but you can see the bigger long term picture . My glass is empty tonight but it shall over flow again and then we go again. Can't say I know much about Nancy .Knudsen has done an amazing job at Bodo Glimt and has a few big skalps in Europe on a shoestring but it takes time to build that foundation. Old Firm managers don't get that luxury. I wouldn't mind Rangers poaching a Qarabag scout or 2 but think Big Phil needs time to get his targets in and the deadwood out and brush up on his selections and tactical awareness of SPL. At the risk of sounding melodramatic, it warms my heart when Celtic and Rangers fans can communicate like proper human beings - especially when the anonymity of the internet encourages sh1thousery. It's perfectly acceptable, in fact compulsory, to hate the opposing shirt and crest. But the person inside it is a human being, after all.
As for managers, I'm inclined to agree with you RE Knudsen. Wilfred Nancy, on the other hand, is a different animal. In his first year at Crew, he won the MLS Cup. Given the designed parity of the league, that's not easy. And this year, his team is doing well again, and is in the final of the Concacaf Champions Cup, that federation's version of the ECL. He beat both Tigres and Monterrey in Mexico. If you know anything about Mexican football, you know that isn't easy. Inter Miami with Messi lost 2-nil down there.
I can't believe a dozen European clubs aren't after him.
You might think you’re a Celtic fan but you’re not really, the final score today flattered Rangers as Celtic missed a load of easy chances but at no time did they ever look like they were going to lose the game and they deserve credit for a great season, they are not far off their overall season performance regarding total points as when Ange was in charge .
Celtic will get better with Rogers promised a generous transfer budget to bring in quality , seasoned players .

His substitutions today were non sensicle. Its all over the place.
