Feuerschwanz is actually great. "Berzerkermode", "Blinding Lights" and "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme" have been on repeat a lot recently

You might want to check out their cover of Manowar’s “Warriors of the World United”.
Melissa Bonny is one of the guest vocalists in that video. You definitely want to check out everything she does. She’ll blow your minds!

@@vasilnanev-peltekov1786 For the "Ding" thing, I'd recommend watching the video of the original (hip hop) song before
The metal take on this one is FABULOUS! And Melissa's role there is just great! Especially for people who don't know her whole range yet ...
However, if you want a more serious original from Feuerschwanz, take "Bastard von Asgard" which is more recent and absolutely epic metal!

The Feuerschwanz rabbit hole is a fun one. They do great cover songs in the folk metal style, including ABBA, The Weekend and Ed Sheeran. As a little side quest, the lead singer’s other band d’Artagnan ( also folk metal) just released a cover of Avicii’s “Hey Brother “ and it’s awesome!!

The Original Music Video by the Romanian Band O-Zone is made with a lot of greenscreen, so Feuerschwanz adopted this style for their Cover of this Song

Saw them at a festival this summer. Soooo much fun!!!
They introduced this song as an ancient tune the Vikings sang as they landed on Mallorca.

When there was a folk metal wave in the early 2000s, people made fun of it too. Alestorm and Firetail are among them. They still have fun, but it's not just about that anymore. Typically singing of Feuerschwanz is in German. There are always covers for them:
FIRE TAIL - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (ABBA Cover) (Official Video) | Napalm Records
But they also have their own songs:
    Feuerschwanz - Die Hörner Hoch
The Singer Without Armor also has another successful band:
dArtagnan - Meine Liebste, Jolie (LIVE / Offizielles Video) ft. Patty Gurdy
If you want to emigrate to a cheap emerging country, then you should ask yourself why it is an emerging country. Some people came back disappointed because they didn't want to make the necessary compromises. The EU was an easy target before Brexit... Like the United Kingdom, Germany has different regions with slightly different cultures. This is particularly noticeable in rural areas and less so in big cities. Not everyone feels comfortable everywhere. In the big cities you can get by pretty well with English, but you can only get along well in a country with the national language. Otherwise, doors will remain closed to you. But Germany is one of the most important countries for metal!

Dragostea Din Tei is originaly from O-Zone and was a huge hit back in the early 2000s. Feuerschwanz have a lot of stuff (mostly in German), with the (i think) last two albums day did some Bonus-Covers. One of the best ist Manowars "Warriors of the World" wich includes Singers from other bands. I recommend to watch that =).
If you want to hear more of ther stuff i recommend "Metfest", "Schubsetanz", "Memento Mori"...... But there are so much more^^

It's pronounced "Foyr-Shwance" which is german for "Fire Tail"
Feuerschwanz is a very capable Power Metal Band by the way.. you should check out other songs from them..

Have you heard of the band Liliac? Their originals are what they call Vamp Metal. The name Liliac (lee-lee-ak) means (vampire) bat in Romanian which is also the origin of the band Ozone, who gave us Dragostea din Tei.

Feuerschwanz had bonus disks with their last two albums where they had every band member select a song for them to cover for fun. They also have great original stuff though (usually in German). The name is pronounced with an oy! sound, so it's Foyershwants not Fewer ;)

If you (especially Ash, I believe we all can predict what Dave thinks about it 😉) like to check out some Harry Potter metal, I'd suggest The Dark Side Of The Moon and their song Double Trouble/ Lumos. TDSOTM is a symphonic metal supergroup, consisting of vocalist Melissa Bonny (main band Ad Infinitum), guitarist Hans Platz (Feuerschwanz), harpist Jenny Diehl (she is the red headed one of the two dancers/ stage & video performers of Feuerschwanz) and drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (Amaranthe).
Feuerschwanz (foy-air-shvantz) was founded in 2004 as a parody band to counterpart the (somtimes overly) serious German medieval folk scene. Over the years, they left the straight parody behind while keeping a humorous or at least light hearted attempt and evolved from actual folk over medieval rock to medieval metal.
Their original material is usually in German with some latin here and there (recently even some Old Norse) bit in 2020 they started doing cover songs in English.
As Dave said, just based on the genre there is automatically some cheese involved but they are super entertaining.
Untot im Drachenboot (Undead on the Dragon Boat) is my favourite original song by them, one doesn't have to worry about not understanding the lyrics as the video is self explanatory and it captures the mood/ theme quite well.

You might consider the Netherlands for the music scene. I was there the first time this year for the Ayreon shows, and have been back for two other shows this year. The next two concerts for next year are booked already. Luckily from Germany I have a reasonable travel time. They have a lot of really good shows over there and reasonable ticket prices, too. Also the people over there are really nice. At least the Ayreon fans I got to know over there and who I go to other shows with now, too. And as a bonus a lot more people speak really good English. Way more than in Germany, I feel. And Dutch is somewhere between English and German. Which confuses me to no end, when I'm over there. 😀
I'll definitely be up for more Feuerschwanz!
Another one is Saltatio Mortis, who are less comedic but still have all the cool instruments. That said, they did do one of the versions of EC's Hypa-Hypa.
And speaking of the Netherlands, my obligatory mention of Ayreon as a suggestion for you to check out. I still think "The Day That The World Breaks Down" would be the best one to start with because of the background infos during the video from Arjen - the composer, producer, musician behind the project - that pop up during the video. Those should anser at least some questions that might come up.
    Video link: ua-cam.com/video/oFuMKdrzPqU/v-deo.htmlsi=9pZ9S086bvrkPWAT
But there are some amazing live videos, too.

Something more Metal from Feuerschwanz? I think it cannot get more Metal (in a "classical" sense) than Feuerschwanz (Foy-r-Schwance) cover from Manowars metal hymn - "Warriors of the World". Feuerschwanz named the cover "Warriors of the world united". There are different guest singers to honour that iconic song. Their original songs are in general in German language... and as usual with no subtitles in their videos... as most bands that sing in their original language... The "girlfriends" are two performers which are permanent members of the band. The band's earlier work is more folk and less metal, and their lyrics were more frivolous. Over time, they went more into the metal direction.

Nice reaction. Feuerschwanz did also more serious stuff. Would love to see you reacting to "Feuerschwanz - Basdard von Asgard (ft. Fabienne Erni (Eluveitie) )" or " Feuerschwanz - Das elfte Gebot".
PS. For the right pronunciation try " Foy air shwanz" ;)

6:57 Nice job spotting the WD40. It's a refference to the 2021 new years eve livestream album presentation. Hauptman's armour was grinding and creaking, making so much noise with every move he made people in chat started making suggestions to hand him some WD40.
Production value on this one was indeed rather low. But on average they are through the roof. Others have already made great suggestions. You really should check those out.

Foyer-schwanz (firetail) they have amazing original songs but their covers are next level! Warriors of the world united, Ding, I see fire, Blinding lights, Final Countdown and Gimme Gimme Gimme are a great way to start this journey.
The WD40 is actually a joke because his armor made a hell of a racket in a live stream and someone commented they need to grab the WD40
Ben also said he have no idea what the lyrics mean and he just sounded it out from the original, so it's a real good job :D
Another band to check out is Saltatio mortis.. they did a cover of Hypa Hypa that will crack you up!

Video was shot during lockdown, that is why it is low production value. The two women are not their girl friends. They are band members but they are not instrumentalists for the most part. Main job is dancing. The band comes from the medieval folk metal scene in Germany, true. But many in that scene take themselves too seriously. Feuerschwanz is the opposite. Also, they have become more and more metal in recent years. You can try "Schubsetanz" which literally means push dance (aka pogo in the Moshpit). Very good are "Kampfzwerg" (Battle dwarf), "Metfest" (Mead party), "Untot im Drachenboot" (Undead on the dragon boat aka longship) as well as some of their cover songs ("Gimme, gimme". "Warriors of the World", "Blinding Lights").
On their current album, they have some multilingual songs which are at least in part in English: "Berzerkermode" and "Siegfried Dragonslayer", for example.
