I ain’t gone lie they need to just bring back archetypes becauses each build was different, you knew a shot creator was going to fade, a play shot was going to iso, a slasher was going to slash, a lockdown was going to spam steal, a playmaker was going to spam dribble moves, a sharp was going to dex, a stretch 4 was going to dex, a post scorer was going to spam the drop step, now it’s like everybody can do everything, which is why everybody got the same build it seem like. I miss 2k19 when the builds had meaning.

I made Joe’s 84 badge upgrade 6’7 PF and got that to 99. People get pissed when you cheese on them with it, because it’s impossible not to cheese on people with it. Just made this build and am on the path to 99, and I’m already cheesing with it at 71 overall. Builds are everything in 2k21 online. Why guess, when Joe Knows?
This is my favorite build right now. 7ft PF with stats similar to Bol Bol. No three pointer but inside stats, midrange jumper, great defense and great passing. Faster than a center and can keep up with PFs. It came out to be a paint beast.
So check it right. So this same build but add a bit more shooting and dribbling, take off some post moves and he’s Dirk. That would be a fun build I think

Started off the game wit an build similar to this. Great park build rec you will get bodied by people who have max strength on. post move lockdown saves you a little but your hof box won’t save you against hof worm

I feel you on making different builds. My first was a 6 7 scoring machine. Now I'm working on a SF build that is nasty imo. I've seen a couple around but I don't think they're built quite like mine. I get glass takeovers on a SF all I'm gonna say lol.
I have next gen and my build is a 6’8 power forward, max arms, contact dunks, 84 three ball, pro dribble moves at 98 overall, and crazy defense (94 block raiting, 95 dboard, and 86 perimeter d)
The issue is the playmaking & shooting badge allocation. The difference between pf or c and all other positions is off. Pg needs around 10 + more stats in playmaking category to get the same amount badge points as the pf. Also pg needs 5+ more points allocated in certain categories to even be able to select a certain hof badge. Examples dimer, & QFS

It’s because PFs get 10-30 MORE BADGES and hella more attributes than any other position. It’s not even close to fair.
I feel like 2k19 was the last 2k where everyone had their own type of build and played their own specific way
2k20 had 7 out of the 10 pie charts were viable at guard
I had post build, a KD and a CP3 build. I loved it.
To me since 2k18, 2k19 the best 2k, I legit had real fun playing 2k19 more than 20, 21, and ofc 18
