In this video, I spend the day with real vampires in Salem, Massachusetts, the famous Witch City. It's "Interview With The Vampire" IRL! These vampires are part of the Maison Vampyre “clan” or “colony” as they like to call it.
Ben & Lex are the owners of VampFangs and Maison Vampyre in Salem, They are real vampires and brought me into their world for the day to show me what it means to live the vampire lifestyle.
Vampires are peculiar creatures. Either we think of them as evil bloodthirsty monsters stalking their prey in the night or sparkly, seductive beings you might want to prey on you, like Edward Cullen from Twilight.
But all of these images come from the Hollywood depiction of the vampire. Vampires are just fictional characters… right?
Well, it turns out there are approximately 5,000 people in the United States who identify as “real vampires” and in this video, we get to meet some.
Vampire History
The concept of a corpse returning to feed off the living dates back to the Middle Ages. In the twelfth century the Latin term, sanguisuga or “bloodsucker” was first used.
The word vampire itself first entered the English language in 1732 as widespread fear of “real vampires” took hold across Europe, when the sensationalist report of “vampiric attacks” in Serbia made its way to publication in the London press.
Eventually, even the tuberculosis epidemic was blamed on vampires.
The image of the vampire has come a long way since then, as modern Hollywood depictions of the once putrid monster have evolved to seductive creatures with superhuman abilities and immortality.
It’s this kind of alluring image that influenced the real-life vampire community to emerge in the 1990s out of New York City’s goth scene.

But essentially a lot of these are just a means towards better mental health or being more in sync with fellow people or nature or simply one self.

The teeth is a how do I put this. Exaggeration of folklore from Romania and the surrounding countries who delt with other creatures that are real and " vampires " are based on. The real creatures are dead humans , can be in spirt form or shift into reap form , they rest in there bodies when they are tired . They don't drink blood. Though they could , the could walk into your house uninvited, with crosses all over your walls in the middle of the day sit in your sunroom with you just as easy kill you as they could at night . Garlic works , but that's the only thing . Steaking them into the ground when they are buried works . But if you wanna kill ome you lob off it's head and burn the head and body and re burry it ... people made up the rest

That fiction is based on something that is actually achievable by becoming a living dead through the change of auric field by dying and allowing the demon to take over that body that starts oscillating between the 3rd and 4th dimension, which is why it can be so fast in speed. All of this is possible. One way how to become one with the demon is to undergo qlipoth while allowing full on demonic possession to take over while still alive in body. This is the process of ascension through the qlophotic journey across the abbys into the darkness instead of the light. People have no idea how much the vampire fiction stems from the subconsicous that tapped into the truth of what is possible through an actual mastery of energy.

The idea of gathering life force/energy rather then feeding on blood is a really cool concept and something that I can absolutely relate too. I'm introverted and someone who generally lives isolated from society due to the fact that it's completely exhausting for me to be around others. I've always believed it to be that I either too freely give my own energy or others take it from me to easily.
You need some shielding and protection love! Glamour magick can help in this domain as well :)

To me, we use magick everyday in smaller forms, and it is all around us. 💜 Our intention is the dictator of wether or not we are using it purely or not. It can be as simple as our daily energy exchanges, when we send certain types of energy to others, and this also purely comes down to our intentions. As someone who enjoys researching a lot about the vampire community, I have only seen videos about sanguine vampires. This is refreshing to see you highlighting another type of vampire that I have never learned about before!

I feel like in a real practical sense, being a vampire means embodying an energy of immortality and, like the lady said, gathering energy to maintain that eternal existence. Not from people, but from experiences and ritual work. We cant really live forever. But... YOLO So live like life never ends anyway.

I didn't see anything in the energy clearing that looked like she was doing anything bad. One can't view intention through a screen but her energy is really light and the fact that you felt tingles and not completely exhausted afterwards tells me she did in fact clear you. Also, no one who wants to dispell myths about their community that have persisted for hundreds of year by doing these kinds of interviews would do any harm to the interviewer. They want people to get to know them and not to fear them because fear breeds discrimination. It would be wholly nonsensical for them to harm you.
I felt actually very drawn to this right away for some reason I’ve always wanted to go to Salem as well so this was very interesting and fun to watch keep up the good work I always love to watch your content 🖤
Lex and Ben seem like such nice people/vampires. I felt such a total peace watching them and they appear to be just like all of us except for their chosen lifestyle. I tried to explain the real life vampires to my friends when I was 15 and they kicked me out of the group. Apparently I was too into the X-Files as well. I think I was just way ahead of my time.

Lol probably in another subculture related to energy work and feeling powerful! I think part of the appeal of Vampirism is the gothic style, because all sorts of other subcultures preach the same sort of stuff with other aesthetics! I’m sure there’s exceptions with people who are more ~internally~ goth and dress like your every day country boy though lol

Good Lord. I thought this might actually be interesting to watch but now I feel mental illness is even more prevalent than I thought. Seeing grown adults that would rather live a pretend life than a productive member of society is so sad. There’s a difference in being a kid at heart and being childish. They are childish.
The thing is, she says it's about gathering energy, which suggests she doesn't have the energy and power already within her, she needs to find it outside of herself. Which is disempowering in of itself. Just a thought.

I love the way you approach these topics. It takes away the feeling that you have to put on an act and fit in. I've been so much into this lifestyle, that I tried to practise it as well and it brought me so much joy. Sadly topics like this or witchcraft are kinda taboo, people think you're crazy if you admit it. Especially as a grown ass woman they would think I'm nuts, playing like a child. People is afraid of their energy being sucked. But vitality is not being full of energy, vitality is dieing your your life in what you love. A shiva lingam is an object so dark it is open for you to give all your devotion and dedication to the unknown, that's a pleasure. Happy plants produce less sunlight taking leaves and more energy giving flowers. They don't know animals enjoy flowers, they're just giving. Giving my energy make me feel more vitality than having a meal full of calories and needing a nap.
This has to be one of my favourites. So very interesting and such amazing and beautiful people and I truly thank them for sharing their lifestyle with us. I felt so very intune with it. Yes. I highly recommend looking into Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram under whatever tradition you'd like to follow. Crystals and incense are great in a ritualistic atmosphere, but if you find yourself without tools, you don't want to be stuck. Besides we're born with all the tools we need. We just have to be untaught how to use them.

I mean hey thats really cool I respect it. It makes sense that they aren't literal ones, of course. But the sort of ...spirituality around energy is definitely a common theme for many groups of people and I think there's legitimacy & merit in that. They're just gothic witches :) literally it seems like the stuff I'm sure most of us is familiar with already. Normal tarot card reading and crystal practice.

Real vampires come from the nonmaterial realm and if a person has an intense need to drink blood and feed, trust me that person is a vampire in a human body. Vampires are spirits, and that's all I can reveal at the moment. I am an oracle (and not a witch since i have never had the need to do spellwork). Many were also born of incarnated vampires as well. Some vampires feed on blood and some on energy (aka energy harvesting).
Some also seem to feed on stupidity...

I literally had a dream last night where I entered into a place that was holding a vampire event prior to opening as a restaurant. I walked past a woman who looked just like this woman with her fangs exposed.
I quickly sensed in the dream I was one of only a couple people with warm blood walking into this den.
I ended up leaving & later in the dream felt I was being followed & hiding out.
I also ended up in hiding with several other celebrities like Joe Rogan.
It was definitely one of my most bazaar dreams ever. 🎃

Good evening. I too am a new awakening vampire. My name is Xian. I am going to Florida for a visit with the possibility of moving there. I have a question. If a vampire moves to a new city or town, do you have to seek out the town or cities vampire king or queen to introduce yourself or ask for permission to be in certain areas, I do not want to go down and start anything that could lead me into trouble?

I’ve been awakened (born sang) for 16 years and I’ve essentially struck it out on my own. Even changed towns twice in the last 5 years. No one’s ever bothered me. If anything I’ll get the occasional “Omg you look so young” comment from everyday people, but that’s about it. Granted for fun I’ll show my eyes turning yellow to select people on occasion, but they almost never think “vampire” when they see that. Just keep to yourself and most people won’t bother you. Use discretion or anonymity when telling anyone. 75% of ppl like us are not even involved in clans/covens/etc. that’s only 25% who are. I personally don’t subscribe to psi vamps as I don’t feel that’s legitimate seeing as sangs actually have traits and genetic facts to back their claims. With psi’s it seems like a bunch of metaphysical witchcraft imo.
I wish I knew some people like this in Cali. I love this subculture
