She should accept that she did too much makeup for onscreen. Toning down the makeup would make character more realistic. So take it positive criticism
Literally watched this interview in search of the questions that we have regarding her look in Jaane Jahan. And she should accept that her nails and eyelashes were overly done for someone who lives in a village.

dear beautiful Nawal, you are very pretty masha Allah and we love you; but nails, mascara and parlor like make-up is not adding to a village attire of a laborer woman, it is deducting points from your good acting.
Yumna in one of her drama in the hospital سین had parched وائٹ lips, barbeenas' get up was a plus point to her acting in kabuli palao, your character becomes more catchy when you wear it to the maximum
Hi Nawal.. even if the drama is larger than life, doesn't mean u go for artificial nails, heavy make up, blush on,mascsra etc. It looks too out of character for a woman employed in a garments factory where the wages are like peanuts.. also it is set up in a village background, so how does she get access to such glamorous makeup is beyond imagination.. instead of defending it so blatantly you could have took note of this as a positive feedback and if you would have mentioned tat u will take care of the same in future dramas , people would have really appreciated you😊
Moreover you are soo beautiful naturally, without make up also Tabrez would have fallen flat over Gulzeb❤

They all have to keep looks as the director wants so why would she do
No hate towards her, but the makeup and styling for her portrayal of a village girl seem a tad excessive. In some scenes, she appears more glamorous than Mahnoor, who hails from the city. The issue lies in how it tends to shift the focus of the viewers away from the performance itself and onto superficial aspects.
Here's a little story that fits the topic: My cousin, who doesn't watch this drama, one day joined me for an episode. Upon seeing Gulzeb, out of curiosity, she asked if the character had moved from the city to the village. When I explained that Gulzeb is actually a village girl, my cousin commented that her appearance seemed too glamorous for that background.

Gulzeb had moved from the city ..with her husband to join the factory. Just that she is too poor to look soo polished. But I think a lot of her look is natural and not made up ..I didn't see her wearing much make up except in one or two scenes
So true! She is too caked up for a factory worker. I feel the onus also comes on the director and the entire team who put up a character, they should have used their brains to make it a bit realistic!

People are not being mean to you Nawal it’s just that you can’t take constructive criticism. And as an artist you should take criticism positively and learn from them. I agree Jane e jahan is larger than life but it doesn’t justify Gulzaib wearing so much makeup. A girl can look gorgeous even in bare face.

Nawal is naturally beautiful so there was absolutely no reason for the heavy eye makeup which only made her look cheap. She shouldn’t take it personally. Her whole look is out of character. She does not look the part she is playing!

If lots of people are saying it then she should listen. Its nothing to take personal. Obviously people found her look not appropriate for the character and not just one person or reviewer it was many people. People should Take criticism and improve rather then keep defending it. She s really nice . I really like her acting but in this drama I can’t relate with some of her abnormal scenes in her jana e jahan drama especially When Amir her husband died she would have done some investigation with the help of her family her mother and a brother but she let them go to the other city just for the reason that she had a good job and getting all the the luxuries. Kya is ki maa ka illaaj is ko khud us k sheher ja k khud nahi kerrana chahiye thaa. Aik akeili aurat wo bhi itne khatarnaak shakhs jo sharabi bhi hae aur niyat bhi us ki ithi kharab hae usi k office mn us k saath full makeup mn itne aaram sey chand paison ki khaatir kaam ker rahi hae jab k wo sheher mn ja kr bhi touwo kaam kr sakti hae jo gaaon k itne ghareeb ghr k dikhayi hui hae.Us ko kaisa ghum hae shohar ka k us k jaane baad bhi wo full time makeup mn hoti jbke ye khud itni haseen hae in ko tou makeup ki zrurat bhi nahin hae but just for earning money ye apni iddat mn bhi itney insecure area mn reh rahi hae aur apni family ko bhi wapis bheij diya hae us nei

I think Nawal is jeolous of Ayeza’s beauty that’s why she put lots of makeup and manicured hands to put down mega star Ayeza khan but she forget that she is still a side heroine in this drama and Ayeza is a main lead heroine a superstar

@Asdm204... I beg to differ. It's true that her make-up is over the top in the show; her character of a village girl required minimal makeup.
But keeping that aside,she has done a good job with her role. She specially portrayed her character's grief over losing her husband perfectly. Personally I'm invested in tabraiz-gulzaib scenes because both the actors have completely nailed their roles.
