The hat is a start, eh. LOL. I'm pleased you like this traditional Irish song, Dlynn. I've always enjoyed singing it - on my own and back in the day with my friends in The Hillfolk. Thank you for dropping by, my friend. Means a lot.
Thank you so much, my friend. I've liked the song for a long but this is the first time I've recorded it on my own. Thank you for your support. Means a lot. I cut out the rubber that covers the sixth (or 11th and 12th) string on one capo and that gives me a kind of Drop D when I use it on the second fret or further up the neck if I use the second capo as a false nut. I get the same effect if I use two unmodified capos and turn one around so I miss the bass strings. I hope that makes sense. I'm not a great guitarist, so I cheat when I can. lol.😀
@@greybouquet03 I'm sure you'll like it. It gives the G and D chord shapes a wonderful tone. And I'm always lifting my fingers off the bottom strings so it helps as well when I'm playing the C chord shape. Bonne chance, mon ami.
Excellent cover my friend.
Great performance Robin. Full watch as always from me.
