Especially this one. Considering its ONE OF A KIND. And if it becomes commercially produced then it will be the only kind that is that complex being produced. Making it expensive to fix.

      We're already cyborgs, tho not to the extent most people think of when thinking about a cyborg. We have pacemakers for our heart, prosthetic limbs altho functional metal ones are still far from what they could be. We can organically grow livers and laser bad eye sight. We have hearing apparatus, metal teeth that are drilled into your bones (they're an upgrade from dentures). Metal plates that hold broken bones together, used for scoliosis patients etc.
      There's bags that collect waste directly attached to your intestines (I don't know the name in english).
      My point being, we're already capable of augmenting/replacing bodyparts with biological and mechanical components, so the future is already here just sits in it's babyshoes.

      Exactly, true engineers are those who have no access to resources and machines, while retarded rich kids play with the most expensive stuff on "elite" university, people all over the world show that there is no garbage, but only resources and make unbelievable things from it, that's why even garbage gets closed off from public, privatized like all other resources and human knowledge in form of patents. But it's senseless to complain about the consequences and symptoms, while ignoring the root of it, the root of all evil, the monetary system. Money wasn't invented in modern times by smart, social and competent economy experts, but in the golden age of charlatans by filthy thiefs to make theft easier and now this is what the whole world not just turns around, but die for, for theft, which is nowadays called profit. It is impossible to build an economy and have progress based on the monetary system, because work must be endless aslong our lifes aren't depending on the availability of the needed goods, on the production volume, but on money and so every little progress, every little rationality cost ten thousands of jobs, just imagine how many people would lose their jobs if there would be no wars, no military, imagine how many people would lose their jobs if the industry would produce things that last aslong as possible and are good to repair, that would be built in modules so it could be upgraded piece by piece instead of producing the whole product over and over again, like cars for example, imagine they would upgrade existing cars to electric drive until some serious the developments have been made, instead of producing new cars all the time because of a handful of LED's, and so on, most products don't need to be reproduced, atleast 75% of each product cannot break by itself, go through all products in your mind and you will see. The whole world has to live the greed of a couple hundred people worldwide and be zombified consumers instead of life worthy, intelligent and rational beings, instead of be humans.

    • @olesams
      @olesams 4 роки тому

      @@Wilson84KS I did not read all of that. I will guess that "consumerism bad. 1% controls the world. We are zombies" is a part of it.
      i have talked to alot of people who say the same thing. Like conspiracy theorists, off-grid survivalists and anti-government semi-militarist idealists. And all i have to say is this: Present to me the alternative. I agree that the system we have is flawed. But the exchange of money for goods and services is effective. So show me your alternative.
      Put another way: Pubs are full of guys with a beer watching football. Or, American football with the retarded ball. They sit there, drinking beer, complaining that the teams on the screen are doing it wrong. But VERY few of them are presenting an option. It is mostly "score more goals!" "Defend better!"
      Show me the alternative. Because we somewhat agree.

I mean, it might get a little time to get used to the new thumbs and new hands, but the improvements in productivity would far outweigh the effort needed to learn to use them properly.
      Not only that, but nerves can also be entrained, which means that nerves can change their use, allowing people to learn how to use new body parts. People are already working on adding a literal third eye for blind people to see low-resolution black-and-white (and later grayscale) images with their forehead skin, which is easier because they send the signals to the nerves, but the research is also trying to find ways for them to move the camera like an iris, and to change the focal distance.
      My point is, science and biology allows it, technology is advanced enough to achieve it, but enough competent people and enough funds must be focused on solving those issues forever. And this kind of technology ties in well with Augmented Reality and Artificial Reality technologies, making it easier to get funds and popularity, with the right elevator pitch for investors and random people who might be interested.

    It's ironic that I found this video. Prosthetics have always been of interest to me simply because I like the idea of people being able to get back limbs and all even if they lose them. Issue is they're so expensive, I've been meaning to go to school and hopefully one day start working on making prosthetics as cheap and efficient as they can possibly be. Might be a far fetched goal but I think it's worth the effort. So, this popped up in my recommend vids, and as someone who wants to eventually make prosthetics for a living, this is actually amazing and kinda inspiring. Definitely going to go back and watch the rest of your adventure. Take care, and best of luck on this!

    I'm an orthopedic technician so i'm familiar with prosthetic limbs and I think your self-made 4-finger prosthesis is really cool and your ideas for improval aswell as your overall concept are pretty awesome.
