Deviled eggs are my favorite food. Yes, deviled eggs. Ironically, I absolutely hate eating a plain hard boiled egg yolk, I think it tastes like a yellow chalk ball by itself, but I love deviled eggs more than anything on earth LOL
Back in the day Paula had recommended using a whole additional egg mashed up to a fine texture to ensure each of the eggs are nice and full! I don’t know why she didn’t do it this time. 😢 I always have done that ever since I saw her do it as a kid.
Good morning Paula and Eddie I make deviled eggs to buy use miracle whip and honey mustard, parsley ,salt pepper, vinegar and paprika on top ❤ thanks for sharing have a wonderful day 😊
Pretty much how my mom always made them only she just diced some sweet pickles instead of using the relish, I'm sure this tastes almost the same though. You have to put the paprika on at the end :) it makes it look so much better and it tastes great too. She's also put these on top of her homemade potato salad.
Thank you for sharing recipes like this miss Paula, esp for the simplicity of just using what you have like just mixing with a spoon and spooning it back in there, because we don't always have to dig out the beaters and pastry bags for every recipe and many of us may not even own them just yet! 😉💕
I put red wine vinegar in mine, but I use Hellmann's. I guess Duke's has that vinegar twang I deem required in Deviled eggs. Love the tip about putting two halves together!
The next time you make them. Take the eggs out of the fridge and flip each egg and then sit 1 hour. The yolks will center itself inside the egg. No thin tears or thick ends. 😉
Miss Paula....Would you happen to have a recipe for Garlic Parmesan Sauce??...I have one but it has 12 things that i have to do....Would you have a shorter version??...Please and Thank you...
I never liked traditional deviled eggs, I hate paprika and sweet relish, so I made up my own recipe, using cottage cheese, mustard, ranch dressing, and black pepper. A splash of half and half if it's too dry.
I don't like deviled eggs I just like hanging out with you for a short time on video. You made me giggle when you talked about the mustard noise! hahaa
I think she just refers to it that way because they eat it more often in a meal than just a special occasion. If you noticed, she said it is a "staple" down south. 😀
@@ellenfenner2733You are exactly right Ellen ! Deviled eggs are eatin basically every Sunday, every holiday, every picnic and during the week just because It’s a staple, it’s not made just for Holidays. My husband and family are from the South, in the Country so this egg dish I know !! LisaMichele 🥚💛🥚 Myrtle Beach 🏝️ SC
Why are they called " southern" when devilled eggs have been made and eaten throughout europe from forever....the same goes for " southern fried chicken". Fried chicken has also been known and eaten throughout europe for centuries.
The huge glasses keep sliding off your nose, Paula. That would drive me crazy. Surprised that you don't make a prettier presentation by using a pastry bag - is also easier and faster.
How do you make your deviled eggs?
Mayonnaise and Durkee's. Mom called them heavenly eggs when she carried them to the church, where we kept the nursery.

What I would give to have her as my neighbor! Love, love ,love that “Lady”.
Good morning Mrs Deen😍 there’s nothing more in life that I love❤❤ then a southern belle that👩🏼👩🏻🦳🔥🔥 knows her way around the kitchen.

I use dry mustard.
Love a deviled 🥚 egg! There's so many different ways to make them too...😊
Here’s where having chickens comes in handy!! 🤭🥚🐓
Love them deviled eggs! 👍👍✌️
Paula, if one of the eggs break to where you can't use it to fill. Mix the egg white into the yellow filling. No egg left behind.

Are you in the south? We typically don’t do that down here but it sounds good! I will have to try it!
@@orthodox_gentleman lol no from Pennsylvania
@WilliamRingle yes I enjoy it thanks for asking
I make a quick egg salad every morning for breakfast. One bowl, quick and easy.
I do that too. I have it on toast. I grate my boiled eggs on a cheese grater instead of chopping.
@@evelynovercash1147 My secret is to carefully mash them with a good sturdy fork.
You are so funny Paula! I'm in stitches! Love deviled eggs! Thanks so much!

The broken one is still edible too!! You can still put filling in it too!!
Also:
Adding celery, pimiento & onion go well in that too!!
That’s exactly how I make my travel eggs here in the north😊
Ooohh I love that deviled egg tray ! I gotta find me one.
I’m on a mission. Thanks Paula

The forever argument between us Georgians - Hellman's or Dukes. I'm a Hellman's girl, but know lots of Dukies. 😂
I do mine the same way but don’t use relish. I put on a little “wash your sister” sauce and salt and pepper
I purchased one of Paula's house seasoning when I was in South Carolina and am now in love. Happy to know that I can order it online!!
I’ve always loved your cooking!
This Traditional Southern Deviled Eggs recipe looks so delicious 😋 Paula.
where can I buy “Silly salt”?
Ever considered capers and pickle relish? It's the cat's whiskers! 😊
Yummm! Are you saying to do both capers AND pickle relish? Would you do sweet or dill relish?
Good Morning All. Looks delicious Paula ! Michael is my kind of guy...JALAPEÑOS on his deviled egg. YUM.😊
The next time you make them. Take the eggs out of the fridge and flip each egg and then sit 1 hour. The yolks will center itself inside the egg. No thin tears or thick ends. 😉
That is what she had on the counter but she didn’t mention it to us…😢

Love me some deviled eggs!
Why didnt she just put the whites on the egg plate to begin with, so she wouldnt be handling them again?? 🤔

Just a dab (to taste) of prepared horseradish (white in the jar) makes all the difference in the world. You'll always use it.
Love deviled eggs
Just like I make them except I add dried onion
Good.moring.❤❤
What exactly makes them "southern"? Deviled Eggs have been around since ancient Rome and have been made basically the same way for centuries.

😋
Soy bean oil is awful
WHATEVER Miss Deen serving I’m eating it!
❤❤❤
I like to add some horseradish to my deviled eggs.
Oh my gosh...I bet that really raises the flavor game! I'm going to add that in mine next time, yum!😋

Gross 🤢

Those glasses are hideous, but apparently Paula likes them, so each to his own!
Nice!
