I've never heard of the San Juan Islands till now, why are they named the San Juan Islands? I always thought there was just one San Juan, SAN JUAN P.R.
It could take you TWO DAYS just to get off San Juan with WSDOT Ferries = Breaking Down, Sailings Canceled or Running Aground !!!

Lived on Orcas for a year. Bloody cold in winter but we had a huge Sauna where 10 of us could practice singing. Great time. For a Greek guy.
