Always happy to shout RnR out! Looking forward to the new trailer! I am always going to have a better day when I show up at a jobsite prepared. Like you have pointed out, consumables are a big part of being prepared!

It's amazing how quickly not having a $5 item can take a job from profitable to not profitable when you don't have it on hand. But buying up front requires investment. It can easily get out of hand either way! -Dusty

Found myself cutting my own shims the other day like a real schlep. I need to make a little list myself for the next time im at the store...

Clovis! How are you doing? Thanks for commenting. You reminded me that I actually made a shim cutting jig that works really well with two-by falloff. It cuts amazing 7in tapered shims. I want to make a jig that cuts 12in shims too. Now that you reminded me, I am thinking of just how much fall off I have gotten rid of the past few months and the fact I could have made a barrel of shims for the investment of time.

@sdsconstruction I need to get on making a few things myself. Soon I want to build out 3 - 2' x 4' Paul style tables. 2 basic dog hole field, and 1 setup for router madness. Plan is to keep 1 in the van as a daily driver, and the other 2 on stand by for when I need to form like voltron... I have the plywood, but need a day to cut everything out... Eventually we'll all have a jig for everything I hope...

That sounds like a real useful set of projects! I recently rewatched ShooshineJonnie's Paulk trailer tour and he buiilt what he called a "paulk minimalist" bench. I thought it was a great idea and have plans on building one of my own when I do Ron's new bench builds this fall (if the stars align). I will keep tabs on your channel to see if you post the builds!

Noticed you’re storing an open bag of the 5 minute mud even though you have sealed it how long before condensation gets in and starts hardening specifically in the non climate controlled trailer? Reason I asked I left a bag of quickrete in the shed even though I sealed it in a plastic bag within 2 weeks it harden up. You’re definitely the champ of organization 👍👍

Thanks for commenting Pit! The bag in the video has been open in the trailer (taped up better than in this video) for a couple months without issue. A couple weeks ago I used it and the old tape isn't holding now but the product is still powder. No idea how long before it's an issue with my humidity. You mention quickcrete. I have had the same experience with it and mortar.
