@all livesmatter you can't get mad if people use the tools provided at their best. it should be Konami job to balance the game in such a way that these abuses could never happen. Unfortunately the mobile game followed the same mistakes of the real yugioh and turned to be the same unbalanced shit. Nowadays to even have a chance to begin your turn, you need multiple chain-breakers who kills all the variety and curiosity to play against an opponent.

Someone beat me by drawing their whole deck, summoned the Black Luster Soldier Dragon Knight, used some card to double its attack power, summoned a Catapult Turtle, and use the effect to take me out in one turn.
Irl I was competitive during the age of monarchs, but this was when monarchs were just coming into relevance, so I was still learning the combos Guy I was against at a local card shop was running cybers, he goes second All he says is “Dude I’m so sorry” No sweat, i’ll be fine, probably, monarchs are able to stabalize no matter what happens that’s why they’re so good, but I got off to a slow start, again, learning Power Bond, Cyber Dragon + Cyber Dragon + Cyber Dragon Cyber Dragon is summoned with 8000 attack Spooky, but okay Limiter removal Cyber End dragon has 16,000 atk …oh…. He attacks I manage to negate! Suck it, ez dub while he self destructs He chains Double or nothing 32k atk during damage step, it pierces on defense position, and he can attack again…. Gg I guess 😂

I have a deck similar to this that uses eradecator warlock with dark magician. It's a fast duel. The warlocks does 1k dmg for every normal spell. Makes him really fun.
Right? And warlock has no limitations whatsoever. 3 copies of warlock can net you 3k damage per normal spell. I can just play 3 copies of sparks with warlock on the field and watch my opponent rip their hairs out
@@ScytheThompson really well actually. An easy example would be: get warlock out to the field, activate Spellbook of Secrets, search out Spellbook of Power and activate it with warlock as the target. You end up with a 3.5k beatstick which is very likely to roll over most monsters your opp controls. And when you do that, by the effect of Spellbook of Power you can search out another spellbook from your deck. Search out Spellbook of the Master and mimic Spellbook of Secrets you previously used to add yet ANOTHER spellbook (given you have one other in your hand, but that's an easy requirement). That's a total of 3k burn damage from just spellbooks.

There is nothing consistent about a deck with 7 burn cards in it. It's a funny meme deck but you're going to have plenty of dead games with 3-4 burn spells in your opening hand with no way to get further into your deck
They need to stop ruining every single new burn card that clearly don't need the nerf. Its really ruining the fun/experience. By their logic, every single new card they add in needs to be ruined.
yeah I'm a Train player IRL and even I wanted Gustav to have the nerf, 1k is all it needs really, can OTK on an open board, can still do big damage on a halfway good board, dies to any interruption, pretty standard duel links boss monster if you ask me

I've been trying to make a deck with phalanx pike and the new trap. Anyone have any good ideas/suggestions of a monster that would be good for that? (If Lp below opponent) Hammer shark -> beautunaful princess -> swap for buzzsaw shark -> buzzsaw effect targeting hammer shark, summoning fishborg archer -> xyz summon number 47: Nightmare Shark with buzzsaw and 1 of the level 3's, use it's ability to absorb the other, activate Shark's Revenge, activate number 47's ability and direct attack for 3500 damage. He did (well, it was just 1 card, but it was enough burn all on itself). He fought Yami Bakura who used Just Desserts. Yes, a completely unnerfed Just Desserts in a format without direct attacks, without tributes, and 2000 LP. The only reason Bakura lost was because he must've overdosed on energy drinks or something, because he was just itching to activate that card during his turn rather than end his turn and have Yami Yugi play 1 more monster.
Seeing that he did it against a harpies player reminds me when I crushed someone with a 9 win streak because he thought he would bounce my monster back.I was playing cyber angels and skipped the first turn.He set up and could've easily otk'd me.But no,he skipped too and I just f*cked him up with a 4500atk izana.

@@antonioarredondo9680 mostly because except for the limits (which is due to the use of TTH), harpie deck actually doesn't have any actual restriction. Take even a weak deck like galaxy eyes, their deck and extra deck have restrictions to what they can run, same goes to pretty much every deck which utilizes a special buff, harpies actually don't have that restriction and play with the field spell from the start (which now would be changed, but that's a pretty 'meh' skill rebalance compared all the other skills that support an archetype) That's my take, you or others might have different opinions or different view points on this matter
I run a Trice Megistus/Golden Homonculus deck that revolves around banishing monsters to power up Trice Megistus and Golden Homonculus. It's not as effective as Gren Maju, but it gets the job done.

Halving burn damage kinda counteracts the premise of SPEED duels, which are supposed to be quicker duels due to having less cards and life points than normal, so if you halve burn damage with half life points then you might as well just give players the normal life point count! because again: halving the damage counteracts speed duels halving life points for a quicker duel
Yes, but a meta filled with only burn cards is beyond stupid. The game would be, who can play Silent Magician first to negate every single spell burn card, and that isn't fun. IMO, do away with cards that just burn.

Spell Card Burn Decks never felt useless to me, except Stall Burn Decks. I used the Last Gamble cancer deck with the Unity and Yu-Jo Friendship combo and won some casual games. It always feels so fun when the opponent accepts the handshake without forcing them with unity. Nice.
Yeah but with the new ruling on that is that they just have to accept the idea of a handshake bit people on purpose make their hands gross at tournaments and play that card and people wouldn’t want to touch their hand.

There should be a skill that's just like "At the start of your draw turn, add one "hinotama" to the top of your deck. This effect can only be used once per duel" for all those fucking annoying guys that win despite having like 6 LP

Damn. Burned her worse than Anakin Skywalker. Personally, I built my deck by combing deck out, point gain, and point point burn strategies. I would use Morphing Jar with Solemn Wishes for 2500 lp gain in one turn, simultaneously, begining the deck out process. When fliped I simply use Tidangle Angel to bring back Morphing Jar to repeat the process. Book of the moon really helped me out with that as well. Use Swords of Revealing Light and Nightmare Steel Cage to stall for time with Giant Trunade. 2 Jar of Avarice to restore my deck so I don't deck out and finally play Dark Snake Sydrome for point burning as long as my lp were high enough. I've won plenty of duels to know that this process works.

If u curious about my deck's strat: Step 1: get a good hand (1 of that Golden spear equip spell that increases a monster's attack based in How many of him are in the graveyard+meteor dragon+red eyes' magic+ random decoy monster.) Step2:Summon the decoy and use the Magic of the red eyes card Step3:send a red eyes Black dragon from deck to grave and pull another Magic of the red eyes. Step4: repeat step3 but pull a fusion of the red eyes Step 5:by this point you probably already have drawn red eyes Black dragon, so Activate the fusion and fuse him with the meteor dragon. Step6: Activate the equip spell into the black meteor dragon. Step7: due to fusion of the red eyes automaticaly naming the fusion result "red eyes Black dragon",your Black meteor dragon now gets a 2700 atk boost making for a total of 6400ATK points,and If you have a red eyes demon(i think that was the name) on the field you can wipe out any monster with less than 2500 attack points and open the path so our b.meteor dragon can 1 shot the oponnent. enjoy!

Gain LP every time a spell gets used, and let Fire Princess effect do all the work :D

Often because the Japanese names were in English... other times because the translators were lazy.
The same thing with Hyozanryu, Ryu Kishin, Dokuroyaiba, Mikazukinoyaiba, Ryu Ran, Yami, Umi and many others.

Then if the enemy draws out the battle the white aura monsters can just resurrect themselves easily over 6 times.

He did (well, it was just 1 card, but it was enough burn all on itself). He fought Yami Bakura who used Just Desserts. Yes, a completely unnerfed Just Desserts in a format without direct attacks, without tributes, and 2000 LP. The only reason Bakura lost was because he must've overdosed on energy drinks or something, because he was just itching to activate that card during his turn rather than end his turn and have Yami Yugi play 1 more monster.
This seems like it would also be a good Exodia deck.

@@jamesehlenfeldt7132 try out toralf. Built him for $50, the entire deck is just making a load of tokens on every side of the board, then either board wiping with a damage board wipe, or using a damage doubler to bounce something like shivan meteor along a line until it domes someone for 500.

@@antonioarredondo9680 mostly because except for the limits (which is due to the use of TTH), harpie deck actually doesn't have any actual restriction. Take even a weak deck like galaxy eyes, their deck and extra deck have restrictions to what they can run, same goes to pretty much every deck which utilizes a special buff, harpies actually don't have that restriction and play with the field spell from the start (which now would be changed, but that's a pretty 'meh' skill rebalance compared all the other skills that support an archetype)

I run a Trice Megistus/Golden Homonculus deck that revolves around banishing monsters to power up Trice Megistus and Golden Homonculus. It's not as effective as Gren Maju, but it gets the job done.

Halving burn damage kinda counteracts the premise of SPEED duels, which are supposed to be quicker duels due to having less cards and life points than normal, so if you halve burn damage with half life points then you might as well just give players the normal life point count! because again: halving the damage counteracts speed duels halving life points for a quicker duel
Yes, but a meta filled with only burn cards is beyond stupid. The game would be, who can play Silent Magician first to negate every single spell burn card, and that isn't fun. IMO, do away with cards that just burn.

Spell Card Burn Decks never felt useless to me, except Stall Burn Decks. I used the Last Gamble cancer deck with the Unity and Yu-Jo Friendship combo and won some casual games. It always feels so fun when the opponent accepts the handshake without forcing them with unity. Nice.
Yeah but with the new ruling on that is that they just have to accept the idea of a handshake bit people on purpose make their hands gross at tournaments and play that card and people wouldn’t want to touch their hand.

@@OmegaM3TE0R Lava Golem is a 3k beater that your opponent has to stall out for 8 turns. And that's assuming you don't use it as material for something. It's necessary removal.

Personally, I built my deck by combing deck out, point gain, and point point burn strategies.
I would use Morphing Jar with Solemn Wishes for 2500 lp gain in one turn, simultaneously, begining the deck out process. When fliped I simply use Tidangle Angel to bring back Morphing Jar to repeat the process. Book of the moon really helped me out with that as well. Use Swords of Revealing Light and Nightmare Steel Cage to stall for time with Giant Trunade. 2 Jar of Avarice to restore my deck so I don't deck out and finally play Dark Snake Sydrome for point burning as long as my lp were high enough. I've won plenty of duels to know that this process works.

Me playing a custom red eyes deck with insane attack power and hinotamas each 3 cards be like this... exept b.meteor dragon with 6400 ATK goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
If u curious about my deck's strat:
Step 1: get a good hand (1 of that Golden spear equip spell that increases a monster's attack based in How many of him are in the graveyard+meteor dragon+red eyes' magic+ random decoy monster.)
Step2:Summon the decoy and use the Magic of the red eyes card
Step3:send a red eyes Black dragon from deck to grave and pull another Magic of the red eyes.
Step4: repeat step3 but pull a fusion of the red eyes
Step 5:by this point you probably already have drawn red eyes Black dragon, so Activate the fusion and fuse him with the meteor dragon.
Step6: Activate the equip spell into the black meteor dragon.
Step7: due to fusion of the red eyes automaticaly naming the fusion result "red eyes Black dragon",your Black meteor dragon now gets a 2700 atk boost making for a total of 6400ATK points,and If you have a red eyes demon(i think that was the name) on the field you can wipe out any monster with less than 2500 attack points and open the path so our b.meteor dragon can 1 shot the oponnent. enjoy!
