I like how you bonded those mini books for TGTB. We LOVE TGTB! Those funschooling books look like fun. My oldest used explode the code when she was that age. I believe in scribing stories when they are young as well. I still do it for my 2nd grader. Great idea , the little box for story starters. You have a ton great stuff thanks for sharing!

It is a very different approach and stressed me out at first because you read a chapter and answer 3-5 questions. But it REALLY works well for my daughter.

We have A LOT of curriculum, but we use it more as resources than the standard do it from front to back. We dabble in many things, follow interests, and I am very passive because I see the fruits of the following her interests. I’m going to be homeschooling my daughter this year (first grade) and trying to get ideas on how to do this thing?! What subject when, which subjects? Am I doing this right? So overwhelmed but not? I’m in Canada 🇨🇦. And I found them right after I wrote the question lol. My daughter is on the spectrum and really struggles with conversations and asking questions. I will! Probably at the end of the year as a year in review. But she is working on a book right now that she might come on and share herself. 🤞

We have two of the three thinking tree books. I couldn’t find the math one. I like that safety book definitely going to add that to our wish list.

I think it could be done. Most of those are things you would read aloud so just mark through and skip that part.

Do you feel like Life of Fred is a complete stand alone math?
For my daughter it is if there's anything she needs more work on there are worksheets available in the Life of Fred Facebook group.
