I played the percussion parts onto my RC-505 and merged them to one track. I also don‘t have a tambora, and no suitable plastic rod, so I used my timbales as a substitute. With a little EQ it kinda worked. 😁
Then (out of no reason - except feeling like it) I added a bass track. Then came the piano part, which took some time… 😄
Meanwhile I had found out that it had a 3-2 clave base. So, I revisited my bass part and after that it was pure fun improvising over my little backing track with an acoustic guitar and later a djembe - thanx to your wonderful initial boost.

Why would you use guira over, for example, cabasa?
They seem to have similar sandy sound quality
But I see that it seems simpler to play on cabasa

are you totally against the electronic drums, and if so, what is your belief of the mental health need to stay with acoustic instruments?
