I got my dad a “cat” when he had mesothelioma surgery. He was having trouble sleeping and I realized he missed his cat at home (6 hours away!) After I put “kitty” on his pillow, he was asleep in no time.
A real cat will be also good for her ❤❤❤Hi from Egypt..I really appreciate what are you doing for this woman...our parents need to be with us when they are old...and this is the only way to tell them thank you❤❤❤❤
Wish I had seen these videos earlier. I’m in the process of being diagnosed with dementia. Several have been ruled out, it’s down to Chronic Cerebral Microvascular Dementia or Frontal Lobe Dementia. Betty seems like she was a precious woman. Much love and prayers to her husband and family. 🙏❤
You obviously know zilch about elderly people and esp with dementia. They love dolls and stuffed animals to care for. This is very sweet and this gives her purpose and someone to love. You might need to research before you make a complete horse's patoot of yourself. Bless your ignorant heart. It wasn't meant to be funny. It's for real, not a funny joke. You are pathetic. She has Alzeimers. You need to read the bio.
This isn't to belittle her. My mum had dementia and I know that Betty's son and husband are doing this to help her. Music, animals and young children can help provide comfort, calm or mental stimulation. I wanted a cat or dog for my mum, but dad said he couldn't cope with the care. A dog might be too much to take on for them as a family, but this make believe dog can be a good alternative.
You apparently have not been around anyone with late stage dementia...my Mom has it....believe me, their reality is very different than ours...We have 3 of us trying to take care of my Mom at home, with no extra help...she is very demanding...humor is the only thing that gets us through most days. My Mom had a dog that passed a few months ago. Us kids took care of the dog for the last 2 years before she passed. According to my Mom the dog is "In Paris" Our running joke is how come the dog got to go to France and we didn't? May you never have to deal with someone with dementia...it is heartbreaking and very difficult mentally. There are days that we all feel like mentally we are going to break...we take it day by day. When our Mom gets mad at one of us (almost a daily thing)we remind her we are a team if one us breaks the team will be broken and other arrangements would have to be made.
My late neighbour had had eight children. When she had dementia the family bought her a doll. She immediately threw it at the wall! I think she had been very strict with all her real children. My father had dementia, a very cruel disease indeed.
You can see she feels valued and loved.
Way to go!

Hi
DO NOT RECOMMEND
This is so sick to do an elderly old lady like this. I see nothing funny. I know what you should be called.
