it is not what we eat or drink, it is part of our culture very long time ago, it's either we hum, whisper or sing or anything we think with tone specially during any occasion, parties, just walking, in schools, parks, driving, swimming or even eating or waiting for something etc, doesn't matter where we are. So mostly Filipinos sings at a very young age we are exposed to this everyday and that's how mostly develop in singing, no wonder so many Filipinos can sing well, mostly unheard, what or whom you are hearing now are just a slice or fraction of many Filipinos that can sing better and even better. And in addition karaoke made it more fun to us Filipinos to sing more. Just to share you some thoughts. Thanks for patronizing our talents and hopefully someday they will all make thru, Globally and Universally.

I think the way we "train" ourselves to sing is to listen and imitate the voice of the singer/s that we like.
A lot can be learned that way, but at the same time while learning we develop our own sound a bit. Kids often imitate parents and that's the way they learn, but at the end of the day they still never imitate anything 100% and that's what makes us all a unique

Here in the Philippines singing is deeply rooted in our culture even before Spaniard invade our country.
Here are I think the reasons why many of us sings well.
1. Filipinos love ballad songs and almost everyday we sing the songs of great artists of all time like Celine, Mariah, Journey, Whitney, and a lot great singers of 80’s and 90’s.
2. We take singing as a profession a good source of income unlike other countries.
3. We are the home of videoke almost every household has videoke and singing is one way of family bonding.
4. Filipino singers are very particular when it comes to technicality and techniques in singing.
5. Practice makes you better so if most of us always sings ballad song since our younger years then when we reach puberty stage we master our craft. Just like an athlete.
