I really like the new JCB. I had the model with wheels and didn’t like it but it was an older model. Once you go to tracks you can’t go back. 20:33
You'll love that JCB we had one for four years and there are some disadvantages but mostly advantages with the one arm and side entering go for it🎉 you can use the boom extension when you're back grading or Reaching Across something to pick something up or you could never get to it with a normal skid steer!
Agree 👍
We have had electrical issues with our jcb teleskid but we also have a Deere 333g I would say our 333 is much more reliable and better performing with the hydraulics on attachments
I have a JCB track skid steer, same size as the teleskid you tried, but not a telescoping boom. I like it very much. It's rated 75 hp, but probably has the largest size engine in it's class at 4.4 liters. With the 75 hp rating, it doesn't have DEF or REGEN.
I built a new shop in '16, and put a white roof on it to keep it cooler. The guys building it were amazed how the roof wasn't hot in the sun (they had never put on a white roof). It's 40 X 72, and a 34,000 btu mini split AC will keep it 72 degrees when it's in the high 90's outside.
I have a 97 that I bought 18 months ago. We have almost 900 hours on it. Absolutely love it.
Sv75 with pilot controls roomy cab good visibility easy to Grease check oil and general maintenance however were in the 2nd motor for the 75 and we got an sv65 with 3xxx hours that's eating/leaking oil as well
We’ve got both kubota and takahuchi skid steers and couldn’t be happier with both of them.
Love our kubotas have 3 SVL 75’s and have had no major issues if you properly maintain. Just got a SVL 95-2 as well for the high flow. Little faster as well and more stable too. Use on farm, construction and other projects.
We had bobcats for a long time but we tried a new holland and we loved it and bought it it’s a328L it’s roomy in the cab and easy servicing
Oh man, I drew up some of the plates for that boom trencher. It's cool to see it on UA-cam! Should be really easy to adjust and it's built like a tank. If you run into any problems, don't hesitate to call them back. My father is more than easy to work with and believes in customer service. There's also a dozer blade, trench closer, and more products in the works. Based out of Hoxie, Kansas.
those tool cats are like a skid steer meets UTV handy for fence work. get a little 4 in 1 bucket makes it real versatile move dirt level out field entry's move fallen trees no need to dive back home to grab another machine for a simple job.
We loved ours it will do anything the trencher is great only thing is it rusted away .
That tool cat was used for snow removal... I hope he got a good price. For skids steers, if you want full advantage of a track system you should try either an ASV or Cat with an ASV track system. The whole track system flexes and you get full advantage of low ground pressure across the whole track contact area unlike a fixed system.
Seen the new shop got a start Tuesday. Iron growin out of the ground. Good luck this season. God bless. Be safe. 😊
Just got back from a trip to Danmark and visit some old friends, and the first thing to do at home is catching up whit the BBF vlogs, thanks Brian greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
It was 70 here in MN a few days ago & now it's going to only be in the 30's for highs the next few days. It's raining right now with some snow coming over the next couple of days. We are a ways out for field work yet. We still have snow in the ditches & in the fields around the groves.
Compact track loader nomination: the Mustang 2150RT (74 horsepower) near 18 inch wide tracks. The rear compartment is well laid out and accessible for easy oil level check and service/ maintenance of oil filters/ changes. Front cab door lifts up to the interior top of the cab top. Hydraulic track tensioning. Trencher - hire a Vermeer RTX1250 (127hp)(or proper trencher) with side on seating postion. Add a Cat Nordic trenching bucket to the Cat 306 excavator. Ground penetrating radar (&detector &old map) check any trench routes near any old ordinance sites. Is it economic to have a Salford BBI Liberty or Magnaspread fert spreader to 'sub in' for the Oxbo?
Kabota skid steers are pretty nice. Cabs leave a little to be desired but I really like that you can run them with the door open. I still stand by the 333G Deere though
Forward driving trencher, Perfect!
Guys I just love those tool cats. You will find that thing handy. Thanks BFF
I haven’t been around all the brands of skid loaders but I have ran New Holland, Gehl, Bobcat, and a long time ago John Deere. Very interesting to watch you try a variety to see what you like.
I've ran a new kabota, can't remember the size and put a lot of time on a 332 JD both are very similar interior wise. I like the door on the kabota but the JD seemed to be smoother and easier to use for technical work. That being said I'd go with what dealer will give you the better service.
I will say the tool cat is one of my dream items, take 2 people and tools, plus your equipment. nice.
I really like the jcb but then I'm old and work alone so getting in is important and so is getting out when the pallet forks are up in the air
Thanks for the video.
Here in northern Illinois we have companies that will trench in your utilities. Then all you have to do is write a check. Might be more cost effective than buying equipment
I’d recommend kubota. Much roomier cab then a Deere. We run a svl 97-2 which replaced our 95-2. We run a 317 g also for our small skidloader. Tested the Deere 333g and preferred the kubota over it. Deere is electric over hydraulic which kubota is hydraulic over hydraulic.
Great for mulching beds and cutting Landscape bed lines .
Finally got some tractor seat time to get caught up on podcasts. Really enjoyed the one you did with your dad, always enjoy hearing about how operations change over the years.
I go to Penn state. I see those and kubotas around campus all the time. Pretty cool little odd job machines
Brian all I can say about buying any equipment is serviceability and customer service are the 2 main things I look at. Enjoy watching your videos.
Also that these machines maybe Swiss Army knives but are also going to excel at different things no one machine is perfect for every application some of the things that make it better for one thing will make it worse for other applications I will say however never buy a Volvo they don’t make service or provide good service with skid steers
We run a Gehl 7810 and a newer Gehl, both machines are comfortable and perform great within their respective horsepower ranges.
Hi Brian everyone from northwest Missouri I just seen bobcat has a A300 all wheel steering wheel skid loader I don't know if you are looking for a track or wheel loader but a all wheel steering might be something to look at bud
Haven’t found any skids yet that will out push a Deer tracked skid. I’m pretty found of bobcats but they won’t keep up with the Deer’s. Running 7 of 331’s and 333’s
Great video Brian
BJ sound like pap when he was sitting in the Kubota 😂😂
Hey brian the one thing I will say is the front mower from my experience in toolcats is they overheat because of grass in the rear radiators with back discharge mowers I do love toolcats though there extremely useful
The Takeuchi’s are heavy machines and the high flow is slower than the other brands . We have great success with bobcat we have a T870 .
The best thing about the jcb is you can have a pallet on the forks and the boom lifted you can still get in and out of the cab a lot of skidsteers you can't do that
I like my Bobcat T870, its an older model but it can pick up one end of the barn and rip smaller trees out of the ground. It is very heavy though
Man I could use that Tool Cat all over my property. And Id love to fish for Catfish in the Scioto River. You need a Jet boat or an Air Boat next!
Take that Kubota try to track lift and curl
At same time bet it won’t do it. 97 they say will but 75 is designed to have lots of hydraulic pressure one way from what I understand. I would go with a deere if you want to stay away Emissions get a 325 hydraulic or fast they have 3 speed system. Second choice would be a Takeuchi then Cat. Deere though is hands down probably the best on the farm machine.
If you do buy skidsteer with tracks, the z tracks are super smooth on anything but pavement
You might check with Welker farms. These guys had a track machine and went back the wheel. Really really good people.
Also thank you sir for the video. Tri-state area Illinois Missouri Iowa we have put a lot of crops in the last week and a half.
Amazing video my friend ❤❤♥
Good job sir you are working very hard ♥♥♥
A little of my experience with skidsteers bobcats have best cab if ur in it a lot and case have the best hydraulic system and jlb and Kubota are a kind of hit and miss new hollands are famous for being a farm brand if u got cattle
Lots nice skiddys out there dang if they all don’t beat a shovel
Clint from C+C has pointed out on several of his auction vids at 2000 hours new skidsteers need a lot of work on emission systems doesn't matter the brand. Farming fixing Fabricating had a lot of problems with kubotas but his are all run by employees
Employees also run the John deere Skidloaders.
@@wentzel8269 yes the do and their hard on deeres and he has problems with them too. The deeres are obviously more durable. It doesn't matter who makes what if dealer sucks too
I wanted the jcb but limited dealers in my area and price pushed me to bobcat, but I hate the front door! Always calling someone, hey I can't get out can you help?
Other then that no complaints about the bobcat it pretty much will go toe to toe with a jd450 dozer, suspension on the tracks makes all day work easier on the back.
The door on the kubota is nice, I once had it open and forgot to latch it. It hit me so hard in the head!
Good show
Had a few JDs and love them, wheel and track, this may not matter to you but I'm assuming you know if you run out of fuel, she breaks down or somehow your load prohibits you from putting the boom almost all the way down you can't get out the door. Then you figure out real quick how does a big guy get out of one of these especially with a lap bar! I like the JCB these days with the side door. Just my opinions and observations, good luck in your decision!
G’job Brown family, y’all keep em comin and stay safe 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Brain theres a lot going on at your farm .New home new shop .Thank you for letting people make a good living to support their families
What?
Try a takeuchi tl10v2 or a tl12r2 or v2. Kubota engine and seem to be pretty beefy. Really like the r2 on our farm running tree puller and grapple bucket
Sharing always Brian with my outlets
You need a skid steer talk to Andy from farm fixing and fab. They put them to the test. But I think he will say john deere😂
Have you looked at the Yanmar TL100V? Same engine that's in the Deere 331G. Local dealer in Washington Court House area. Looks like a beast on paper but would need a butt fit test.
The shipping label is from hoxie ks which is our case ih dealer about 2.5 hours away
Hi Brian
I like the idea of JCB Skid steer and it’s single boom arm ! Looks like you would have good Visibility too.
Have you ever tried the wheeled version?
We hired a wheeled Bobcat a few years ago and it was great fun to play around on. Great for doing donuts 🍩
Track version is better for farming 🤙
👍. My personal choice would be the jcb’s. They have the side door access you don’t have to climb over implements or take them off to get into the cab. Depending on what u except from a skid steer / bobcat & depending on what weight they can lift when fully extended, but the telescope skid steer would seem more practical imo. Higher reach over a fixed boom. Or u could even look at the jcb 1cxt models but they are longer & wider due to the fact they are more of a mini backhoe on tracks. End of the day tho. It depends on how much your boss is letting u spend. Also what other brand of machines u have rolling around the farm, how reliable & trained the after sales service & mechanics are…. But that’s just my opinion on which brand to go for. Anyhow happy hunting…. Just don’t blow the budget. The boss might not be to happy. Lol.
Brian I know nothing about skid steers buy the yellow one do they have a green one I know you'll make the right choice I can't wait for planting season to start are you going to do the house building on your other channel and the shop
Brian, I think Cole the Cornstar got a new JCB skid steer not too long ago, if I remember correctly. You might give him a call and see how they like it and if they would change anything.
Go by any big time companies job sites. The ones that can afford any piece of equipment. See what they run. Commercial construction companies are prolly the hardest on equipment. They usually stick with certain brands for a reason. Don’t get too caught up on sensitivity of controls. They all act differently even within the same brand. Seat time will get you use to that aspect. I’m an operator by trade and have been in the seat of many different skids. I’ll pick the seat of a new cat 299 any day of the week.
I wish we would've waited 1 more year to get our teleskid. Updated a bunch of things that would be really really nice
The Toolcat needs to be kept inside it's limitations. It is medium duty at best. We have had 2 broken front spindles on the one at work with 2700 hours. Ours is a rusty mess too.
I do trust what Ben (IowanFarmer) says for sure. The overlapping of excavating and farming that he has grown up with are certainly an advantage. (Just keep the rats from nesting in it, lol). That said, I do like the John Deere's.
I sure as hell love the bobcat t770 I run, but I sure as shit want to run a jcb teleskid. They would work great for building homes.
Looks like JCB are #1 in comfort and #1 in safety.
I prefer bobcat after running many. You are taller though, I m only 5.6. My next 2 choices i would buy in order would be John Deere, Then Case. I did not like the JCB when running the different attachments on it. It Just didn't have the same power or finesse when needed.
Hi Brian did you see the new case skid loader has dozer tracks
It's a beast what I have seen of it dirt perfect has it on several of his videos bud
Telehandlers and TMs have single booms, but when you put one on an SSL, people think it's going to be an issue
What happened to the fertiliser spreader? Did it spring some leak?
The JCB tella skid is intriguing but I would personally worry about the bucket or boom twisting clockwise over time due to the offset of the boom. This would particularly be problematic for anyone using the machine for grading.
Lifetime warranty on the boom from JCB! We're getting one and that was a concern for me as well
@@Ninjump Just be careful with "lifetime" warranty's as there's no strict definition. One company's lifetime could be 3 years and another could be forever. I'd be sure to get a clarification in writing as to what their definition of "Lifetime" is.
I have a JCB 3TS- . The teleboom is sweet so is the side door. I also have a Bobcat.
There is a design flaw with the teleboom.
Because the lift goes higher the debris field rains hay when using bale spears on the condenser of the air-conditioning and the radiator or when using a grapple to move brush & trees
You will have to blow out the radiator[s] far more frequently than a regular skid.
The fan will reverse for a few seconds but it needs to run backwards all the time.
Even that would not be enough.
There needs to ba a debris shield or some other solution.
I would still buy another one but this is a huge bummer.
I was thinking about this as well. Might need to fab up a shield!
@@Ninjump I made a shield frim door off a dishwasher made of stainless steel. I haven't put it on yet I am planning to do it in the next couple of weeks.
@@Ninjump also some idiot at the factory put the wiring harness in wrong at the factory.
There are two channels one for the CAN bus and one for the power and the quick connect control. So the wires rubbed till they broke I assumed when the dealer came to fix it they did it correctly turned out to be a bad assumption. I replaced the can bus wire but I think I got the wires backwards on the CAN bus so the bucket self level/ clinometer still doesn't work. I have to do so more investigating with a scope.
@@phillipcoiner4232 hmmm. Yeah definitely some quality time gonna be spent to get those features back. Thanks! I will keep my eye out for this. Ours is going to be 2022 so maybe we will get lucky
Look at the company ASV super high quality and very comfortably cab
You should check out the Kato 35cl that Nathan on the Out of the Woods channel just bought.
How farms works Ryan has had one for two or three years an the shit that he can pick up is amazing. He he brush hogs an munches trees down an they also have a newer John Deree an a bobcat.
I like Bob's new toy
Would love to see you guys try an amazone ZG-TS spreader. Some great technology on em, variable rate, section control, can spread over 120ft wide. Have a cool way to check your spread pattern to see how accurate your spreading and tells you how to make adjustments
We have a ZG-TS 10001 and it's absolutely amazing, hooked straight up to a JD 7920 and rocking 400 hectares a day doing 300kg/ha.
For heavier machines the Takeuchis are a nice, well built machine.
The new ones use Kubota engines and they look suspiciously like a Kubota.
It’s called a “dirt funnel “ from Dirt Perfect!
Just curious what you need a skid steer for once you’re done with the trenches? It seems like a piece of equipment that’s not seen on the channel much. Just curious what tasks it would be used for that the 4707, JCB front loader and now toolcat can’t do. It would save a lot of $ without one.
I hope the jcb skid loaders are better then they used to be
They sell wraps for those lolley poles.
Check farm fixing and fabrication Andy has had motor problems one had two new motors I don’t know anything about them 👍
When someone says it hasn't been broken.
Challenge accepted!! 😂 I would trust it for the most part though, figure same concept as a telehandler and those things take some abuse!!
What is the name of the river that you are on? Cheers mate from Bundaberg Australia
I'm a 5-5 guy so all the cabs are big enough. Lol. I like the concept of the jcb. I wear out Bobcats but I'm not impressed with the new ones so I'm looking also.
ive got an ASV RT 25 & RT 75 , love it . Very smooth operating as well. Check em out
i will say the jcbs with the wheels are 10x easier to get in, but they kinda suck. we leased 2 for 3 years and one was constantly throwing codes, had shit paint, has a wiring issue from the factory and had to get the engine taken out with like 3 hours on it. our other machine has been ok dont know if we got a lemon or what but the one machine is definitely going back at the end of the lease
Take one of those fastracks for a spin if you get a chance you wouldn't regret it
I absolutely love my Kubota SVL75 - but admittedly price was a big factor. That said, I've spent the last 6 months using it to clean up my old collapsed bank barn and it's taken everything I've thrown at it.
LOL, he got a golf cart with a loader on it.....
Buy the John Deere skid loader Brian!!!!!
We have a tool cat at work it’s awesome
did a hose blow or what happen there at the end
Crimp was leaking a little. Replaced it the next morning but ran that night with it
Anything less than 75hp, doesn't have DEF. Just to let you know. Bobcat has the M and R series. Make sure the salesperson explains the difference
Golf cart with a loader on it! 😂😂
That’s not even close to what that is 😐
@@matthewtaliaferro . I’m quite aware of the difference. Even Brian said the same thing
Get the MINATOR!!!! ITS A BEAST!!!!!
🔥they are all great machine, but bobcat has top notch steering/ skidding power., but try out a case if you can, can run a case at mid idle and really get most work done. Boss tried them all and the case is a beast for hydraulic power also very smooth machine 🔥👊🔥🏍🔨⚙️🚜
The view from your JCB loader when you are loading potash kind of looks like the view on farming simulator
