Almost every line of my heritage originates in Ohio, mostly immigrating and settling Ohio in the 1850’s. I’m probably related to 1/2 the people from Ohio 😂. As I’m getting older (only 37) I feel like I’m loosing my heritage because my father was the first person in my family to leave Ohio (military) and my husband is military as well. I grew up spending my summers with my grandparents there. Even though the barns from your book my not be in my family directly, my heart clings to them. I will treasure your book and read it to my children, in hopes that I can share my love and heritage with them. Thank you for preserving something so dear to me. 🤗🤗🤗
Hi from Ireland. I used to live in Virginia, sorry i ever left there...anyways i have fond memories of a beautiful old barn. Another barn was used for an annual pig roast....great days. Thank you.
I love the old barns! Glad to see your work. When I was truck driving, I spent a lot of time in OH and photographed some old barns, though I never got to meet the owners and get stories and close up pics. I remember seeing many beams on flat bed trailers that were being hauled to Kansas City to be resawn into flooring. A few years ago, I attended a workshop presented by a man who made of business of restoring barns. Can't think of his name offhand, but believe he was from Ohio also. I recommend his workshops.
