The Planet X Apollo version of Ultra Magnus is a great re-tool of Optimus Prime from Fall of Cybertron. Hell, he even has armour!

God, this just makes me realise that Hasbro needs to redo combiner wars Magnus in G1 styling for studio series. I’d buy that in a heartbeat

@@mechanwhal6590 Nope. The trailer sucks. There needs to be a release without an inner robot so it can focus on being a robot that turns into a vehicle, without also trying to be a smaller robot with armor on.
@@mechanwhal6590 What EDZ said. The Kingdom version was trying to use a mold that wasn't meant to be G1 Magnus and tried to retool it into G1 Ultra Magnus while trying to stay withing budget.
A studio series Ultra Magnus needs to be built from scratch and be full toon without armor. This will also help with cost reduction 😁😁
Kinda wish the Animated version also made it in this group.

Nice lineup, i have most of those. I have Animated Magnus, Prime Magnus and Beast Hunters Magnus (both are Takara versions), Legends Magnus, and Kingdom Magnus. I also have the 3rd party versions by Planet-X and Iron Factory.

Is it me or are the smaller scale figures outclassing the official toys in both engineering and looks.
New Age and Iron Factory are leagues above the rest imo.
Quick edit: Finally some one did a size comparison of Octavian next to mainline figures and his Legends counter part.
That newage ultra magnus is the size of a deluxe class figure and costs as much as 2 and a half leader classes. At $120 for a 5 inch toy, the engineering better be outclassing the bigger toys, cause its not like the budget is going towards the cost of materials
Not even close MP Ultra Magnus smokes it by a landslide. For one thing the transformation is actually accurate and for another he looks like Ultra Magnus from the G1 cartoon. The rest of the MP's are also way better than those tiny dolts.

@@aozf05 It is only kinda cartoon accurate. It fails miserably by transformation alone which most toys fail at. Ultra Magnus IS NOT A GODDAMN WHITE OPIMUS IN BODY ARMOR!!!
For me Siege and Newage one are better then the rest. Both have the what G1 version of the toy have a removable and transformable truck.
Hey how come unarmored Ultra Magnus just looks like a white-painted Optimus Prime?
I wish the matrix chose Ultra Magnus. I feel like his character was never fully realised. He's actually the first transformers character with a super mode, but that too was handed off in the years to come as sonething unique to a prime.
I want a MP scale Ultra Magnus but none have catch my attention so I will wait for Fans Toys take on Ultra Magnus hope Their version is the same as Newage one where the Truck can sperate from the trailer and transforms.
