“The Secret” at 13:50 is actually a book titled “The Secret: A Treasure Hunt” which was published in the 80s with creepy drawings and poems leading to buried artifacts. The author has died and even the illustrator doesn’t know anything about how his drawings could be useful. Only 3 out of 10 or so have been found to this day.
The one episode of Expedition Unknown that had the 3rd one solved the illustrator at least pointed some things out, like how the word "Boston" is in the image for it, so I'm sure he knows some things.

revisiting this video is just bringing me to tears. The series is finally complete, we have come a long long way. Wendigoon is about to hit a million. I started watching when the Conspiracy Theory #3 was out and what a journey it has been. Love the channel, love everything you do. Lets shoot for 10 mil
@@GCotugno999 Nonsense, he's not even commentating, he is only repeating existing descriptions of various conspiracies, mostly found while looking through /x/.
I really like the laid back vibe, and you didn't oversell, over-edit or go on some tangent about what this means for humanity (looking at you glink). Great video!
Yeah seriously, loved Shane Dawson's series (that is before everything about him came up), but I couldn't stand how he would purposely misunderstand things or ignore very obvious answers, and he would have so many logical fallacies that I just felt stupid after watching it. He'd see a clip of someone acting weird and be like "and its most definitely because they're possessed by demons." Like yeah I bet there's no way that someone's just freaking out for the sake of freaking out.
Oh my god, the worst thing about overviews of talking about things like this is people who huff their own farts way too much and clearly believe every single one of them at once.
The Elisa Lam one is not that weird when you look in to it deeper, just sad. The hotel is shitty and lies about a lot of stuff and she didn’t take her meds as she should
yeah, for the longest time I too thought it was a mistery but turns out she was just experiencing paranoia and hallucinating because she didn't take her meds. Very sad
Except bipolar disorder has never and will never cause visual hallucinations. So either she had another undiagnosed psychoactive disorder or that’s not a satisfactory explanation…
@@richardtherichard26 (1) psychosis can be part of manic episodes (2) elisa lam also had a history of paranoid thoughts in addition to bipolar (3) she had also gone off her meds days before her death--suddenly going off bipolar meds (mood stabilizer and anti-convulsants) can induce psychosis
"The Secret" is a book about the law of attraction. It's one of the most mainstream writings about that concept, and the law of attraction in general is likely what the iceberg is referring to.
Elisa Lam is just a sad case of a scared girl alone in a foreign place off of her medication. I doubt there is any foul play involved . Just a sad situation .
Yeah, was just about to comment that wasn’t she bipolar and had a manic episode with possible psychotic features, which then caused her to accidentaly drown? Atleast that’s the last I heard of it. I’m not a huge fan of making a spectacle about individual people’s deaths, it truly was a sad situation.
Man, coming back to this seems like years ago. The amount of growth you've had in this channel over the past year is actually insane. Easily my favorite UA-camr
Only complaint I have with whoever created this iceberg is some aren’t really conspiracy theories, more just stating things that happened that were ‘mysterious’ or ‘unsolved’.
i agree, i wish they had specified conspiracy theories for those cases. for example instead of just saying 'elisa lam' they could have put 'elisa lam TB medication'
I was thinking the same... max headroom doesnt seem like much of a conspiracy other than they dont know who did it... I dont even think they said anything much of importance... jus random blah blahs and i think they mooned the camera lol
Yeah, agreed. So many of these are not conspiracy theories at all since we know they in fact happened... I mean, there could be conspiracy theories surrounding them, but as they are in this video, they're just mysterious.
@@sarkaztik3228 I think it's just because at this point "Conspiracy Theory" does end up getting used quite often in relation to mysterious and "spooky" things in general. It also helps to not make the title of the iceberg super long by having to define every different thing on it.
Probably because the explanations are conspiracies. Most of the time, when a case is unsolved, theories are about aliens, secret societies, entities, etc... so i guess the conspiracy theory part comes from there.
Wow... So, I just came back after seeing the final video of this series and you can really see the difference between Wendigoon at the time of this video and Wendigoon today. Dude's come so far throughout this year! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and best wishes for another year of strangeness, terror and intrigue!
Hell yeah, including some that werent mentioned. This is dope interesting stuff. I grew up watching Twilight Zone, unsolved mysteries, american justice, xfiles ect so it's all connected.
There’s a documentary explaining the Elisa Lamm situation. Long story short, she suffered from depression, schizophrenia (brought on by other mental illnesses), and she was prescribed heavy meds to take each day. She was known by her family to occasionally stop taking meds, and she would see figures that scared her, which prompted her to try and hide / fight her way to a perceived “safe zone” (hiding under the bed etc.). When her body as discovered, the room she was staying in revealed she had stopped taking her meds for DAYS. Not to mention her previous roommate reported extremely odd behavior as well as hotel staff witnessing it also. It was later determined that she was suffering a psychotic episode and she probably thought the water tank was a “safe zone,” and she hid in there. This is further backed by the maintenance man discovering her body first with the hatch to the tank wide open; Elisa wouldn’t have been able to latch it shut from the outside, but a suspected killer would have almost certainly latched her shut to guarantee her doom. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
When you see the full elevator security cam footage of ElisaLam followed into the elevator “alone” , and then key points during the footage showing someone in a military mirror/refraction/invisible suit touching her, choking her etc you realize this woman was a victim of a 3 letter agency/chinese experiment or fear creating psyop, who wanted to try out new classified tech in a real life scenario on a actual human being who had her own mental health issues to impede her mind on what occurred. Also who would believe a “crazy person” or mentally ill person if the victim DID catch on to what was actually happenening? Also a person of logical sound mind would far more likely figure out something was “OFF” about the physical manifestations accosting her physically, where a person off their meds who may be delusional when doing so, would much more likely have this traumatic event to present and appear to the senses as a part of her delusion possibly, with the blurring of the lines of reality & fantasy. There are objective facts in the case that CONFIRMS she could 100% NOT have physically ended up in that secured rooftop water tower/tank on her own volition. Mirror/light refraction suits have been tested in the military for years and there are videos online of US military using these suits to look invisible and walk up in full view of an enemy soldier and be “invisible” to the naked eye. There is psychological and biological evidence too as to why the human eye and brain are tricked into being blind of something that the sensory system does not even rationally think exists, based on belief, thought, etc. There are even video tests online showing government contracted corporations that show a man using a mirror blanket/shield disappearing and reappearing when he envelops himself in the forest. There are good AND bad actors running different levels/layers of CIA/FBI/ATF/NSA, etc etc who experiment on animals, people, children, biowarfare, etc an do things underground away covertly from others or in another country that is protecting this stuff. I think animal/human, cloning animals (Dolly the sheep/goat) has advanced so much since the 1990’s, and earlier after WW2, that unethical experiments have been mostly outsourced from accountable government arms legally to allow this stuff to continue in a race with opposing nations doing the same or similiar things. Even Missing 411 stories of people disappearing out in the wilderness or national parks likely has ties to controlling resources, areas of strategic value, and keeping regular people from discovering things. Hollowed out mines, underground caverns & tunnels near disappearances, combined with possible people dressed in animal costumes at night or animal/human hybrids or android/robotic costumed wolfmen, make it all the more conspiratorial. A child or hiker could easily disappear in seconds if some agency wanted to create fear, new myths of some strange animal using a mirror/invisible suit to hide the approach & retreat of the kidnapper agent taking a child down a hidden tunnel entrance nearby the location of disappearance. …Or it could be Aliens from another planet lmao, which is FAR less likely the case.
That documentary was really good in my opinion. For many years I grew tired of people twisting Elisa's story into anything that it wasn't. I've even seen people saying they believed the ghost of Richard Ramirez killed her. Nobody wants to believe that she was having trouble with her mental illnesses and went up to that roof on her own.

My thoughts on the Giant Theory: In the Bible, Goliath was around 10 feet tall if you estimate based on the lengths of his equipment. This is not far-fetched since the tallest Man currently is 8 Feet almost 9. The difference between Giants and just really tall Humans, is that the really tall Humans are tall because of genetic errors & rare diseases, thus being pretty weak, but Giants are strong and athletic, which is why Goliath was able to wear such heavy armor and wield his heavy and huge equipment. Could be that the “Giant” gene died over the ages.
He was around 9’4. I did a fun project a few years ago where I made an interpretation of his sword based on artwork and Bronze Age swords from his region. It ended up being a one handed short sword that is 5’ long. Another fun thing to point out is that David picked up 5 stones because Goliath had 4 brothers and David was going to kill them all.
@spud lord yeah I’ve always been told he was around 6-8’, while David was probably less than 5’5”, and Jesus himself was only like 5’ or so. So yeah, to them he probably was massive

Just FYI, Elisa Lam was found 19 days after she was first reported missing. She definitely was not found 3 days later. That makes it much stranger as the entire hotel, including the roof had been looked through. I personally think she was in the tank the entire time but lots of ppl speculate that she wasn’t put into the tank until after the hotel search.
It seems like the autopsy would answer that pretty quick. 19 days in hot water would have an effect on a body. Also ew gross. how many people showered in corpse soup over those 19 days.

Love the video, but one thing about the Elisa Lam case: her family has said that they actively don’t want people talking about the case anymore. Elisa had bipolar disorder & detailed paranoid thoughts in her journals before she tragically died. Conspiracy theorists believe this is proof of an alternate universe, while many doctors use it as an illustration of how imperfect memory can be sometimes” - I didn’t know this was a conspiracy and I thought it was a wildly used term for groups of people being certain something happened that never did (the name comes from the fact that lots of people remember that Nelson Mandela died in prison in SA in the 80s, but he actually lived til 2013 long after his release.

The Secret is a book written by Byron Preiss in 1982, which contains extremely detailed poetry said to lead to 12 treasures the author buried in parks all across the United States. Since then, 3 of the treasures have actually been found - one a year after The Secret was published, the second 22 years after that and the third 15 years after that. The man who discovered the last one invited Josh Gates to film his attempt for an episode of Expedition Unknown so we actually have it documented.
Many of the things I saw on here I can't really explain, or are pretty dark (not in a bad way tho), but the Max Headroom Incident is both hilarious and probably nothing more than two roommates who got bored one night and pulled the prank of a lifetime. Watching Part 2 now
The Secret relates to the idea of thought manifestation. It's presented very simply but is actually a very specific form of occultism in which you only use long form thoughts and trust to attain results. It can also, terrifyingly, be very good at getting young people into cults.
Watching this whole series from beginning to end is a great way to demonstrate how conspiracy theories operate by taking a starting point that sounds "reasonable" and then stretches it beyond alll logic or reason in tiny, incremental steps so before you know it you're believing that Reptilians are controlling the government. The final video especially highlights this, as Wendigoon frequently says "this is a natural conclusion of theory X/encompasses theories X, Y, and Z which I mentioned in an earlier tier."
Elisa Lam likely suffered from psychosis or schizophrenia, and she saw things that spiked her paranoia 100x. Her being in the water tank was probably her trying to hide from her "pursuers," but she didn't know how deep it was.
The Mandela effect could also be an after effect of time travel where someone changed something in the past therefore slightly altering things now, I think it’s interesting
An alternate universe and time travel would be one and the same thing Due to the fact that an apparent byproduct of time travel is the creation of an alternate universe according to certain types of physics

The author has died and even the illustrator doesn’t know anything about how his drawings could be useful. Only 3 out of 10 or so have been found to this day.

Wow...

It wasn’t schizophrenia, it was bipolar disorder. She was on medication but it wasn’t for anything as severe as schizophrenia.

I like that idea
He was around 9’4. I did a fun project a few years ago where I made an interpretation of his sword based on artwork and Bronze Age swords from his region. It ended up being a one handed short sword that is 5’ long. Another fun thing to point out is that David picked up 5 stones because Goliath had 4 brothers and David was going to kill them all.
I think I heard that the 10 ft thing a was an alteration.
Apparently earlier texts placed him more around 6-7 ft.
@@appleseed8282 I've heard the same thing too. Goliath was a tall man, but not10 ft tall
@spud lord yeah I’ve always been told he was around 6-8’, while David was probably less than 5’5”, and Jesus himself was only like 5’ or so. So yeah, to them he probably was massive

Im just starting this series after watching a bunch of your more recent stuff. Its really cool to see the top patreon list grow so fast. Totally deserved!
Dang I'm absolutely loving the whole vibe of this channel! Movies & media, conspiracy stuff, and some really nice food for the soul that doesn't come across as pretentious or preachy! Already one of my favorites
"Giants" in the bible were a miss translation from the Hebrew word "Nephlim" which means something like fallen angel. Basically these nephlim are 'spoused to be great warriors like Gilgamesh and such- Trey The Explainer: Nephilm Explained is a great video if you want to know more
I believe the fallen angels slept with humans and thus the nephlim were created. Could be wrong but that's what I remember

There was a new documentary on Netflix about the elisa lam story that covers everything greatly. The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel
i didn’t care for it much..
It’s a hard case to cover
There was a reddit thread in r/losangeles or something where Elisas friend posted about her prior to the video/ her body being found
Found it( www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/LosAngeles/comments/186qgq/dear_reddit_i_need_your_help_in_finding_my_friend/ )
Something interesting there is the “friend” is already mentioning mental illness
Another very important factor no one talks about, is something about Elisas tumblr- nouvelle-nouveau.tumblr.com
Elisa took multiple photos of herself on high rise buildings and posted multiple high rise buildings.. so that’s a habit for her
I’m 99.9% it was an accident on her fault. I feel bad for her family though. Mental illness specially bipolar sucks so bad.
@@kjlandon9140 that's always been my conclusion and as someone who lived in the same area and has bipolar it was very obvious. Plus the Netflix documentary essentially comes to the same conclusion as that's what the family's and cops conclusion was as well
“The Mandela effect is an unusual phenomenon where a large group of people remember something differently than how it occurred.
Perfect semi-example would be omni-man's "THINK, MARK!" scene, which in ALL relevant memes confuses people, that he hays "THINK, MARK, THINK!".
Most WILL experience this effect here, i bet ya
People just so sad that they got something wrong and created a whole therory for it
@@Someone-hr2cv the Mandela effect always annoyed me for that reason. People's minds are not infallible, so when they misremember something, they freak out. Like hey, you didn't remember something right, it's not an alternate dimension.
@@Crazylom To be fair, in the Invincible COMIC, the line is in fact "Think, Mark, Think!".

Coming back here after the last episode, amazing to see how far Wendi has come!
I’d say that “Psyops” isn’t really much of a conspiracy as much as it’s just a military tool that isn’t talked about a whole lot. When I was in the Army I had like to friends who are 37F (Psyops Specialist)
i also heard there was something called the MK ultra mind control program during 1950 to the 80s
@@jakehalle3697 Yes, this True it isn’t a conspiracy theory either it’s a conspiracy fact, the CIA already declassified some of the information a few years back, publicly
It is a conspiracy but a conspiracy fact,
A conspiracy is just a group of people coming together to do something, to conspire if it where,
when it is a theory people theorise that these groups of people are coming together to do this white each other
If the group of people actually exist or not as a whole or it’s found out that a group does in fact have motives then, the story would become a conspiracy fact,
But, if & when they find out who the group of people are and all, as well as their motives, then it’s seen as more factual & absurd within reality
Love the laid back vibe :) your voice and the way you talk is so soothing and relaxing. Making the conspiracy theories a good nights tale
This is the moment Wendigoon became Icenberg.

The Secret relates to the idea of thought manifestation. It's presented very simply but is actually a very specific form of occultism in which you only use long form thoughts and trust to attain results. It can also, terrifyingly, be very good at getting young people into cults.
can you elaborate on that last part? my gf is really into this lol
@@vivi-wr8nm manifestation in itself isn't harmful, but there are cults formed around it that are, based on what i know
Watching this whole series from beginning to end is a great way to demonstrate how conspiracy theories operate by taking a starting point that sounds "reasonable" and then stretches it beyond alll logic or reason in tiny, incremental steps so before you know it you're believing that Reptilians are controlling the government. The final video especially highlights this, as Wendigoon frequently says "this is a natural conclusion of theory X/encompasses theories X, Y, and Z which I mentioned in an earlier tier."
Great video. Always wanted an explanation of the conspiracy theory iceberg. I'm so excited for the next episodes.
Exact reason I decided to make one, couldn’t find info anywhere, and big thanks.
throwback to 7th grade me who wrote a narrative essay about operation north woods in an hour for ela class
Elisa Lam likely suffered from psychosis or schizophrenia, and she saw things that spiked her paranoia 100x. Her being in the water tank was probably her trying to hide from her "pursuers," but she didn't know how deep it was.
Finished the disturbing movies list, and man I was surprised to see you had less than 100k! Big things to come for this channel man
The Mandela effect could also be an after effect of time travel where someone changed something in the past therefore slightly altering things now, I think it’s interesting
Wouldn't that just be the butterfly effect theory?
@@DylanZeiner yeah true
An alternate universe and time travel would be one and the same thing
Due to the fact that an apparent byproduct of time travel is the creation of an alternate universe according to certain types of physics

Idk if you are the one that started these iceberg things or if this is your version but i like the way you’re doing it. Alot easier to understand than some of these channels who read dictionaries just to extend their videos. Thanks homie
