- The IDF’s head spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, recently claimed that Hamas can’t be defeated because it’s “an idea rooted in the hearts of the people,” and we can’t destroy ideas. But Glenn Beck has a few questions, and argues it's a government that MUST be defeated.

Armchair quarterbacking "analysts" who judge the actions of other nations from the safety of their own living room and have never been involved with war on any physical level have no idea what they're talking about and only do their own credibility damage. I have a son in the Navy. I worry every day that he might get pulled into one of these skirmishes the left keeps instigating. Please...for the love of Pete, educate yourself better on the facts. Hagari isn't saying that we should give up destroying Hamas. He is saying that we can eliminate as many terrorists as we can but they are an ideology as well. Thats the point

I agree with the rear admiral, we cannot destroy hamas. Hamas is a "religion". a religion plays a long game. Think of when the crusades occurred against islam a century ago. Christians believed they won the war. But, islam lives in the ideas of many Arabs. the same idea is true with hamas. the "religion" of hamas lives in the hearts and minds of Palestinians. think of them large percentage of Palestinians that agree with hamas. Palestinians will allow hamas to live around them and to hide them. the only people that can truly defeat hamas are the Palestinians. when hamas leaves their minds hamas will die. Like the arabs and Islam.
The Crusades were certainly longer ago than a century I'm sure that was a misspeak on your part. Had the Franks not stopped the Muslims in the 700s all of Europe and all of us would be conquered and part of that- in my opinion - backwards thinking.
The major Crusades were in the 1200s to take back land and The Holy Land from the Muslims who should not have been there and had no true understanding or respect for God, His Son, the Jewish people and the Christians.

Stalin killed many millions more than the Germans. The allies also killed more Germans after the war than during the war - Eisenhower had his own death camps after WW2 was over and we let Stalin and Russia rape Eastern Europe for the next 40 years. We replaced one bad guy with a worse bad guy.
