  • As part of the borough-wide “Live Well with a Learning Disability” strategy, jointly developed by our Council, local partners and people with lived experience, drop-in activity sessions (called Cafe Aspire) are taking place across the borough in the coming months to help adults with a learning disability access a range of local community-based support available for them and enjoy a full life.
Our first event was the launch of Café Aspire in Telford Town Park on 21 July 2022, which was a great success with adapted cycling and sports activities, crafts and free refreshments for everyone attending. Check out this video!
The next drop-in sessions take part every Thursday:
-10am-12pm, at the Skills and Enterprise Hub ( The Bridges Business Park, Bridge Road, Horsehay , TF4 3EE)
    and
    - 2pm-4pm at Telford and Wrekin CVS (2nd floor, Hazledine House, Central Square, Telford Centre,
    TF 3 4JL)
These sessions are designed as a one-stop shop to facilitate access to a wealth of information that people with learning disabilities can use to improve their health and wellbeing, benefit from volunteer and employment opportunities and many others.
