In my opinion the persistence modelling in this aircraft adds a new dimension to flying in sim, elevating it to the top slot in the GA category. Hope the Autopilot guide helps out 😀
This what I needed for this rather odd autopilot although I had somewhat of an idea how to use this since I have played with old instruments before this made it all clear Thank You
I'm flying this plane for months now and now am learning the AP Stabilizer mode can control banking 🤦 Thank you, without this video I might've never used that function
Excellent tutorial. Nicely paced and relaxed. Many thanks. I have this aircraft, its an amazing product and very well developed. Very immersive. Certainly stimulates the mind. Keeps you busy during any flight. And this is of course a simulation ! which is what MSFS should be, with the amazing work A2A have done to code this to simulation level. You have to be in complete control and anticipate when using autopliot. It is not a "magic system".
I love that this aircraft simulates carb icing well. Flying in vr recently I momentarily felt real anxiety when I realised (nearly to late) the loss of power and altitude was due to that. Not tried airframe icing yet I really hope the effects are simulated and not just cosmetically. Anyone tried that yet?
Some day I dream of a more modern aircraft that is done to the level this Comanche was. Something likt eht BM 850 at this level of simulation with wear/maintenence and the whole kit would be an absolute dream.
310 414 and Kodiak alll are surburb but when it comes to aerodynamics this A2A pushes them aside amfraid and thank you for this video I simply luv odd aircraft navigation systems from the past.
I purchased this aircraft and I am a instrument rated pilot. I fly a Cherokee Six in real life and wanted a plane to stay current. I loved the plane but requested a refund and the autopilot is just not modern enough for my purposes. I would buy again if it was more like the C-172 A/P.
Ah everybody is spoilt with all the new fancy glass cockpit Autopilots. This one is such a beautiful model but you have to do a little work to fly the older STEC 20, but for many of us real world pilots this is luxury. I flew 40+ years with no autopilots.
Yeah a great aircraft! I have a question… it’s not in the manual. What are remarks? The yellow, blue and white light. It turns on sometimes but idk what it is
I’m still unclear whether this autopilot will follow a GPS flight plan without VOR, or does one use heading mode instead. Will the HSI act like a VOR for GPS? I have a couple of planes that do that. Thanks in advance.
Hi guys, I'm currently flying the A2A PA24, and I recently updated my avionics from the steam gauge analog instrumentation to the GNS 430 for some oceanic flight without conventional IFR. I'm having following issue. The track mode does not follow the magenta line from the GPS, I'm sure that the GPS mode is green on the GNS 430. Does anyone know what the problem is?
This aircraft operates as the real aircraft , but it's autopilot is far to outdated, , but true to the real aircraft. For that reason I would not buy it personally.

I love how “passenger in the back panicking” is part of the landing checklist.
I can see what all the hype was about, it flies so well and feels so realistic! great tutorial on the autopilot!
This is a better instructional video than some real pilots do

Interesting autopilot tutorial. I will have to give this a go once I have a better understanding of how to fly this wonderful wonderful simulation.
I haven't flown the Comanche (yet), but I found this tutorial to be excellent. I'm sure I'll be referring back to it again soon.

Clear and instructive, as usual. Could we expect a video on how to lean the engine?

Thanks so much! I've been looking for this tutorial, haha!
Useful, informative and funny.
Great vid well explained, learnt a lot
1:35 A video on how to set up Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and quadrant using the Commance Input Configurator, would be much appreciated.
Outstanding tutorial

Thank you very much Mark. Well done.🎉
And another very informative Video from you, thanks a lot!
"[..] the passengers in the back are panicing, [.]" 😅🤣😂
Great video!
Ooh! was waiting to see if you would do videos and how to's on the Comanche 😁😊👍
More to come!
@@SimHangerFSdefinitely looking forward to that ! 👍

The S-Tec 30 is still used today, including in the modern Cirrus etc.
@@SimHangerFS quaaa am sure it is better now
You forgot the FSR500
@@hondarider100r ahh rightt
I might be interested in this airplane if the auto pilot was upgraded.

I cant get the update due to having a ridiculus long password in the comunity section in A2A and........... this was a very helpfull video thank you
ok got into the community on A2A cant get the update still maybe your influance can help us ;)

to correct gyro drift, should I be turning to HSI to match the compass on the glare shield?
Yes, align to the wet compass
The autopilot knob of my Honeycomb bravo throttle quadrant apparently does not respond with the autopilot switch of theA2A Comanche
No, the Comanche does not use the default mappings for some functions.
@@SimHangerFS Hey Mark, thank for your answer

i have the same issue, have you found a fix?
Hi Matk does the commanche work with the hapti sim software with a butt kicker ?
I don’t know, but works perfectly with the HF8 pad so I would assume so.
Oh great thank you
Why should I use autopilot on such an awesome plane to hand fly ? 🤣👍
Passengers panicking - checked. Hehehe...
🤣
The sound is a little puny sounding to me.

@@SimHangerFS I agree , but without pitch control it takes some getting use to. Not sure you can fly ILS approaches with this AP?
