- When people think about Vietnamese dish, this menu would come up after rice noodle, I assume. Banh mi sandwich has distinctive smell of sauce and rich cilantro flavor. If you’re considering something new for the meal, why don’t you try Banh mi sandwich?
[INGREDIENTS] - 2 servings -
Basic : 300g Boneless chicken thighs, 1 Baguette, 1 Cucumber, 1/2 Carrot, 1/6 Radish, 2 Hot green chili, Coriander, Olive oil
Vinegar mixture: 3tbsp Vinegar, 3tbsp Sugar, 1tsp Salt
Sauce mixture: 2tbsp Soy sauce, 2tbsp Cooking wine, 1/2tbsp Oyster sauce, 1/2tbsp Sriracha hot chili sauce, 1tsp Sugar, Pepper
Spread Sauce: 2tbsp Mayonnaise, 1tbsp Sriracha hot chili sauce, 1tsp Oligosaccharide
[Start of cooking]
1. Slice carrot and daikon radish and bath in vinegar pickling liquid for 20 mins. Slice cucumber to make circular shape and cut Chungyang hot pepper.
2. Bath boneless chicken legs in milk for 5 mins, rinse in cold water, and remove the moist. Marinade chicken in sauce ingredients for 5 mins.
3. Add some olive oil on a skillet, cook chicken over medium low heat, and cut into bitesize pieces.
4. Slice baguette lengthwise in half, and spread each half with spread sauce.
(To make baguette crispier, toast baguette in preheated oven (200℃) for 2 mins)
5.To assemble the sandwich, place cucumber-roasted chicken-pickled carrot and daikon radish-Chungyang hot pepper-cilantro in order, and close the sandwich.
6. Transfer to dish and enjoy.
