Hearing the pricing argument was so frustrating haha, Like, we got a whole chat full of people where no ones willing to say that a sustainal increase year over year in revinue while increasing prices above the value of inflation every few months is an incredibly anti-consume way to run a bussiness. Is it because it doesn't, technically response to the hot take, which seems litterally just be "some of these arguements are bad", and can it therefore be stated he's not attempt to justify current pricing? Becuase I'll be honest even as rube who keeps buying this stuff its really getting bad, man.
Yes EXACTLY, thank you, I'm no expert on economics (in fact I hate the economy and would piss on it if I physically could), but the box GW minis come in is more expensive to produce than the actual sprues, those sprues cost cents on the dollar to manufacture, even factoring in shipping, taxes etc, there's no way to justify GWs prices ESPECIALLY when other mini companies or even individual sellers produce minis of comparable quality for a fraction of the price I'm trying really hard not to be rude, but stop defending the hundred million dollar company. It's a bad look
Also as someone who 3d prints as a hobby, in a relatively confined space, yes it's a bit harder than going to the store and just buying minis, but it's easier than say building a desktop computer and you can get a printer for a couple hundred, less than a high-end laptop
for the argument about space marines being boring to play against I'd think that a better point would be how bland the primaris stuff is it's too clean.
