HaHa, to me it was worth doing, as the dirt wasn’t from my pond. It was literally like a new Pod before I fitted it for the first time. 😊🤩 Even got a new cleaning pipe, and to buy it and make it ‘like new’, I was still under £200. Which I’m happy with…. 😊👍🏼
Hi mate, the centre pipe within the pod can be turned around, dependent on whether the Pod is to be used as gravity fed or pump fed. Therefore there is no permanent seal. So, to ensure the water leaves the Pod via the pipework and not between the pipe and the body of the Pod, this rubber seal is required. Yes, it could be changed very easily. Perhaps best ordering it direct from EA though to make sure it’s the right fit at both ends etc. Hope that helps….. 🤞🏼 👍🏼
@AndysKoiPuddle I can't even get the existing boot off unless I'm happy to cut it as it's swollen tight. And the replacement is such a tight fit it won't slide down over the old pipe. Trying to think of some kind of fish safe lube I can use?!!! 😆

So at the bottom of the centre pipe buddy where the rubber boot connects, what is the purpose of the rubber boot and can I easily replace mine?

@@hazzardoutdoors Hot water usually helps soften these fittings up to allow them to come off and fit on easier. 🤞🏼
Did you use micro k1 or just standard size?
