@@Elvisfan2026 she wasn't always but then she became a really wonderful and rational mom when she chose to be a better woman . I feel that she is more rational ,and practical than Emma . She shows that you can be practical and hopeful at same time . But when Henry was young , they had fond memories so , its safe to assume that she was an okayish mom earlier but then she became more gaslighting and then she became coolest mom in the town . At least she is still stern when it is needed as compared to Snowing who did not scold Emma in S5 for her incredibly irrational behaviour (I still love Snowing but they don't make sense sometimes .).

I mean he kinda did, remember that flashback in season 7 when he was practicing sword fighting with Killian and Emma said “you fight like your grandfather” ?
Okay what they’re saying is absolutely right but it doesn’t fly here, Henry’s overall character would remain the same if he got good with a sword It’s not like he’s replicating behaviors or giving into peer pressure
They’re not telling him not to get good with a sword, they’re just saying to do it because he wants to and not because he feels like he has to in order to impress someone else.
