YJHD was one of those movies where I remember loving it a lot but I always felt that it should’ve ended in tragedy. It would’ve made more sense if they parted ways.
The most unrealistic part of this movie is that Naina went for a trip WITHOUT taking permission from her parents, the same parents who are not the most ideal when it comes to freedom,, Dont tell me there was not a big ass emotional drama, more strict rules, HMARI IZZAT KA EK BAAR BHI NHI SOCHA and TERI SHADI KRVA DETE HAI FIR JAHA MARZI GHOOMNA vale taane when she finally showed her face after the trip.
The reason why a whole generation of people love and adore this movie because it's where the fantasy of "reforming a fuckboy" came true :') wishful thinking at best. Real life mein aisa kabhi nahi hota. Naina and Bunny would never be able to make it work because they love different things. Why would Bunny give up the life that he's always wanted for a do hafte ka pyaar? He would resent her and she would hate him for giving her false hope. All that said, Imma go rewatch YJHD now.
@@entertainment326 no he won't change so suddenly and that's exactly the challenge. Both if their lives are pole apart honest communication, compromise and lots of planning will need to be done before and after marriage

The thing you said about INCLUDING A PERSON IN A GROUP, That AJA.. It truly matters & means a lot for any introvert type of person as it's really hard to open up to someone or ask for including, though heart cries out inside.
Honestly speaking the whole friend group except Aditi was kinda sorta toxic. Bunny being self centered to the point of being completely oblivious to what the people he considers close are going through, whether it be friends or parents or love interest. Naina, while the most grounded of the group, also had the tendency to resent others for her inability to socialise. "I couldn't flirt with Bunny so I will resent Lara for it" "I couldn't tell Bunny my feelings so when 8 years later he's getting close to me is when I will drop this unrequited feelings wala bomb on him when he didn't even know back then"... she handles it more maturely than others but still it's unhealthy to say the least. Avi is a whole trainwreck. Even keeping aside the personal disaster, on a friendship front too. He made a whole "we will live like joey & chandler" plan even though bunny was seeming disinterested even back then... then when bunny went off to live his life, avi fucked up his own life & directed that frustration toward bunny for not neglecting his work??? honestly speaking, I found him to be a much worse friend than bunny was. bunny treated friendship a bit too casual, took it for granted quite a bit... but avi got wayyy too codependent & is the type of person to blame others for his failure like naina, except unlike naina, he doesn't even handle things maturely & lashes out being borderline abusive. Fuck that guy honestly I woulda dropped him. Aditi is probably the best friend out of the whole group. She's not too clingy, doesn't play a dumb blame game, retains friendships even when there are distances. As a person, she might have flaws, but as a friend just chef's kiss.
Aditi was conceived from the Anjali of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai School of Thought where longer hair and femininity leads to marriage. Although Aditi is cool and rebellious consistently in the film.
I think long hair doesn't define if someone is a rebel , Aditi was same with taran , drunk , crazy , over excited but in a mature way , and fact that she chose Taran over avi removes that all that she is anjali
I agree with you with that ‘Never Have I Ever’. It’s so male gaze-y with the ‘Bimbo’ character and ‘Not Like Other Girls’ Character. I was a major NLOG and Facebook really pushed that narrative till of course, I realised it’s a sham.
I didn't grow up watching yjhd so don't have much 'emotion' attached with the film and I found this movie quite an idiotic one. 1. Bunny being the eternal casanova lost his virginity many many times but when his 'friend' naina (whom he never cared to be in touch with) meets a handsome guy, all his 'feelings' start pouring in !! 2. Throughout the shaadi, our very own 'doctor' looks like a hot super model, the moment bunny leaves, she is in her nerd, 'chasmish' avtaar probably to justify how lonely and miserable her life would be w/o the man !! 3. The most stoic and emotionless speech by the doctor sahiba firstly at aditi's wedding party and secondly when bunny first time professes his 'feelings'. 4. There's a difference between self love and being the ultimate narcissist. This guy, bunny crosses the limits of it. 5. Aditi from the carefree daredevil soul aspired to become the eternal bride all because his crush didn't fall for her!! Aditi taking her dslr and backpacking across the western europe ( friends!!) could have been a perfect plot but it seems Mr. Mukherjee was not that progressive in his thoughts. 6. Wake up sid was a much much better movie, unfortunately we the indian audience don't deserve such sensitivity.

For Ranbir's character.. he was just as he had said .. a Subway Surfer or Temple Run type of guy kyoki "wo rukna nahi chaahta". Were there multiple universes of Ranbir characters... Wake Up Sid had a more practical development and the abrupt plot development of "dono apne sapne chhor dete hain" at the end is massive downgrade from the fruitful development from the main lead's arc spread over many years to come to a logical conclusion in Bachna Ae Haseeno.. in short ye waala Bunny is more like "Bunty" of sacred games kyoki wo to .. samajh jaaiye, waise shabd hum nahi bolte.
The issue with the most audience is with your video for this movie was simply they saw there desire being completed through this movie and you put a damn cold water in that. I have hear the most famous dialogue "Main udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon bus rukna nahi chahta" just give them a thrill even they are literally grown adults. Somehow it helps them to live the dream they always want to live like traveling to the whole world meeting new girls and having the fun.

Damn!!
Ma'am that 'ওওওও গাঞ্জা গাঞ্জা ’ was epic 🤣
The issue with the most audience is with your video for this movie was simply they saw there desire being completed through this movie and you put a damn cold water in that. I have hear the most famous dialogue "Main udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon bus rukna nahi chahta" just give them a thrill even they are literally grown adults. Somehow it helps them to live the dream they always want to live like traveling to the whole world meeting new girls and having the fun.
I love this movie. I still will watch this with a hot bowl of soup in my hands on a cold day for comfort.
@The Quarter Ticket Show saving me from anxiety attacks and giving me laughter attacks at 2am.
Yeh ladki jab bhi ati hain dil jeet ke jati hain❤️
Thank you! You're okay now?
Bunny and his God Complex 👍👏👏👏💥
When Kalki stated..."Dude, she's not full French, Besic hindi to ati hogi"...Kalki should check her nearby pockets 🤣🤣

I love this movie so much ...but I guess our love cannot hide truth and every bollywood movies have some shit if someone point it out then there is nothing to get offended...
I love ur reviews and enjoyed this one too🥰❤️🔥
Joining college in a month. Zyada kuch nhi chahiye bs Student of the Year wali college life, 3 Idiots wale friends. chhichhore ke level ka talent and YJHD wale trips.
THATS ALL🙂🙂
Thats zyada kuch nahi is way too much don't expect from seeing this unrealistic expectations of bollywood. You will love college way more if you have less expectations.
Ansh..I wish you all the best for college and Pachi ne jo bhi kaha wo dimag me rakh ke chalna. Bhoolna mat.

Even if I sort of liked the film, I can't relate some moments in the film because mere aise friends IRL hai nai🤣🤣🤣.

Yes... make a video on Tamasha 😭😭😭. That is literally my and my mom's favorite movie. Wanna see it get ruined 🤭🤭🤭
This is " mai barbaad hona chahta hu".
I’m sure you write this great stuff with that ‘Nasha’😂
Wow
I can summarize this movie :- it's the fantasy of having a sneak peek into South Bombay's rich niche society.
The life we all love and desire but hum garib hae 😭.
If you hold the mirror in front of people showing them this sentiment,no wonder kids are pissed.
It's okay though. Gives us a release from ordinary life
Thank you for showing me the red flags of this movie
My pleasure
1:10 that subtle usage of Baby marvake manegi!!!!
I used it in part 1 too but usme se copyright ke wajah se hatana pada tha. That's why.

Yes! I covered that in part 1. I love trekking too 💜
Screw everything .... I love tha "SONG"
For once in Mainstream Hindi Cinema and just Cinema in general, I want people to interact with foreign cultures that’s not just (insert token white person).
I always thought this movie was so boring 😂 Never liked it then. Never liked it now

01:10 you got like 😅
I just realised Bunny is so much like mu ex whom I've just broken up yesterday. Even he kinda looks like Ranbir Kapoor 🤦🏽♀️
holy shit
Actually dishonest review means this the film was so good that the channel was really unable to roast it
It wasn't my intention to roast it.
Watching this on the 10th yr anniversary of this movie 😂😂
