I'm in Arizona so for me you can just keep gardening. It is hard to watch gardening shows in the summer because it is almost impossible to grow anything except melons and winter squash here. But fall and winter are great.
I have a gnarly purple tree collard too that I am chopping down this year. I grow a new one from cuttings every four years. I think it would be fun if you did a worm farm, I love mine! Also maybe a deep dive into soil amendments like biochar, azomite, the use of coconut coir, perlite, and vermiculite. Also how about an in depth on container planting versus in ground and which one is best for which crops.
I'm Interested in growing leafy greens indoors over the winter months, was considering an Aero garden but heard they are closing? Any experience with one, is it solely reliable on their supplies to plant seeds in.
I'm curious are you guys growing any Creole and Turban variety garlic? They seem to be very adaptive to the lower latitudes and the Turban harvest supper early.
As far as grains are concerned, I really want to grow oats & barley. I really like soups with barley & would love to experiment with growing it. I'm wondering about what freshly harvested oats will taste like. Better than store bought oats? (Steel cut and/or rolled oats)
I do super hate summer and I'm a lifetime Floridian. And Kevin is right, it's too long. It's basically from March through at least November here. December is a toss-up but I've experienced many many Christmas Days in the 80s. Definitely stealing Jacques's microwave garlic trick. Kevin could you use a sod cutter tool on the bermuda to make it easier to remove?
Cut the bermuda and let Jacques plant his barley, wheat & rye in the spot obviously the bermuda will probably return with a vengeance. Also no vampires near Jacques and his family that's alot of garlic per mealtime!
We definitely want to see Jacques' Gladiator intro
Kevin looks like he just woke up after a long night playing Baldur's Gate 3
I love these chats with Kevin and Jacques.
The tree collard that’s 42 years old HA!!!! Too funny. I think the collard should really have its own official name at this point

Oats are easy to grow. I made milky oat tinture with mine.
Summer in Oklahoma is not for gardening. You garden mid-Sept thru Nov, and then March - June
Can we talk flower seeds to start in fall? Idk why, but for me, this information is so hard to find.
