Love to see a Plate wearing self healing class with an immunity shield is considered squishy. Only took Blizzard 18 years to see that this is an issue.
Bro when I was young back in wrath I utterly despised Paladins. I was pissed that they literally got 2 lives with Lay on Hands 😂😂😂
Plate, cloth, does not matter. All classes are more or less the same in terms of survivability/damage. There is no RPG in WoW anymore

Great Video props to the Cutter of the Video btw you allways put in insane amount of work i know how long it takes to cut good Videos..
As a lock, main I feel you missed the mark on the lock specs. You say demo is tankier than aff and destro, because it has soul link. Destro is also played with soul link. Yet destro is way easier to target and kill in solo shuffle. But why is that?
I do think the placements are accurate, but for different reasons. Demo is so much harder to kill from my experience, because of the pet stun. You can assist your own survival so much, by just saving axe toss stun for moments when you get stunned for an enemy's kill attempt. Another asset for demo that makes it a less appealing target, is how it can do okay-ish sustain pressure just by casting dogs and putting up dooms. I spend most of my game just fearing and cursing the enemy, and if I get kicked on fear, I then can cast shadowflame school like hand of guldan and demonbolt. This just makes it that much harder for the enemies to line up a proper kill window.
Also, it means that if they are not managing to kill me, they are not really stopping me from doing my job. Demo is not like destro and affliction in terms of the role you have. Destro and affliction have to hard cast and spend a lot of globals to min-max their damage. Their role is to mostly just do raw damage. You can focus down a destro/aff lock, and win by attrition as dampening ruins their defensives, and they still can't cast.
However, demo mostly focuses around having a huge CC toolkit, a mortal wounds debuff, and mediocre burst. If you can just live and keep your pet alive, you can do your job even under heavy enemy tunneling. Even when trained by 2 melee, you can still use your toolkit to cross cc the entire enemy team while your team's other dps pops his burst. You can still get off nether portal and/or tyrant behind a pillar, to assist in pressure.
TLDR: The difference between a focused demo lock and a freecasting demo lock, is not too huge. But the difference between a focused aff/destro, and a freecasting one, is huge. So u win a game by training aff/destro just by stopping them from playing and making the game a 2,5 vs 3. If you attempt the same against a good demo lock, he can still perform his role.
Dh players don’t have targets. They just mash buttons on whatever they can see, chasing until they LOS their healer and die.
I've been looking this video for years. For the first time ever I start to understand target selection. Very nice. =)
Now I'll have to try to code a "target recommendation" weak aura, since there's zero chance I remember all this in an actual fight.
How in the world can a ele shamn be more tank then Affli lock?
I will say ele's have a lot of snares if you talent in static field and earth grab which pair well with gust of wind
they aren't, skill-capped is just wrong here. I hit gladiator back in MoP and took a break until just recently. They had a lot of useful information, but some stuff (like this) are just unbelievably wrong. Better to just take what they say with a grain of salt and measure it against your own experience.
Should make this for the regular meta comps in 3s. Will help me out alot. I struggle on what target to kill alot.
Just what I needed, thank you 🙏
As an aff lock, I have my pet out at the start for soul link but if I’m not the focus target then I sac and go at it.
Suggestion, a nice It'd be cool if there was an info-graphic for the different class combinations
Appreciate this. One match my team decided to attack a Ww monk instead of the destruction warlock, that’s when he started blasting and one shot me. Always train the caster.
Shadow priest in a solo shuffle lobby with 2 dk's or 2dh's with a dk or a dh is hella fun for us
its just as fun melee in a spellcaster lobby, tried arms for first time since legion and first lobby was ele evoker, mage. ofc i was the focus target lol
NICE! TY!
Whats the best target then for Frost Mage/Demo Lock/Resto Druid? im assa rogue
since when is frostbite on a different dr than other novas?
The main target is the one that says ragnaros after the name
@@FABBYFLAME Most of the community regards players of the ragnaros server to be really bad at the game. It usually holds up.
Ive met someone with scarab lord and 10glad mounts from Ragnaros, they have some good players
@@rellik8746 I mean, every server has good players. Moonguard has gladiators too, but that's not what they're known for.
I play Devastation Evoker and yeah I do find them squishy... but you don't mention Obsidian Scales? We can get 2 charges of it.
I have never played a class that I have been a targeted more than playing my ele shaman
I love your commentary videos mate! i was wondering if you wanna aim for solo shuffle success as resto druid what stats are you aiming for? mosly mastery for healing?
Putting Elemental in "mid or neutral" without explaining anything is just a big joke. Devastation might be similar but excluding that, Ele is the biggest glass cannon I've ever seen in my PvP experience. Ele's biggest defensive is running away and you can pick Many roots to achieve this, but melee uptime and utility in DF is insane so it's DEFINITELY still a "squishiest" target. Running also means no damage outside of flame shock.
Edit: And don't speak about self-healing to me! No ranged/caster outside of spriests and warlocks have any. The mail classes do next to zero self-healing compared to the busted melee of DH/DK/Warr. Which makes no sense.
I agree with this completely ... I want to play Ele because the crazy damage is fun but to suggest it's less squishy than my Affliction Warlock sounds crazy to me.
@@jaimeperry7326 Precisely. I've mained it forever. We actually had at least double the defense in SL, compared to everyone else who got more defense in DF. 🤦♂
what about between balance and arms?
In what world are warlocks squishier than ele shamans? I don’t play either one but that just seems way off
As an extra note, I think ret paladin is probably the squishiest of the melee if there is an opposing warrior or priest with super quick MD. I had a game where a pro-priest precast MD'd my bubble so fast that my teammates called me garbage for not bubbling, feelsbad.
Not even mentioning hunters? If you can wait for turtle to end, you just root them and blow your load on them and they die. Really good ones can effectively kite for quite a while, but even still, if you catch them they die.
Will this video get update after the recent patches?
Aff lock squishy? How about big Shield every 45 sec, Drain life soulburn shield spam, Drain Life, Drain life damage reduction pvp talent, Soul link dmg reduction, big Wall, 2 teleports, passive hp regen, more hp than others, leech, curses from being crit hit, insta dots. And probably I missed something else. Gl on killing.
100%, biggest clown statement of the video. Came to the comments as soon as I heard that absolute troll of a caster kill tier list.
they talk about rank1 players :D not like us regular mid lvl players :D for example rank1 warrior can kill 1.8k rating lock :D otherwise :D only warlock can kill a warlock :D
Ty
Please do same list but for 10.0.7
bro i feel like locks never die :D
Shuffle = First one to die is a punching bag.
Uh frost dks are most likely the most squishy class. How can you put unholy dk at the top, then ignore frost?
Because nobody plays frost really. Ive ran into maybe 2 frost dks over 100 games.
Genuinely wondering why this is what people do now. Back in my old wow days, where i was relatively solid rating, it was ALWAYS target the healer, NO MATTER WHAT in 2s, and most often in 3s. I dont understand why things are the way they are now as far as target priority. Could someone explain it to me like im a 4 year old?
Put out a video about the importance of purging BoP the amount of games I have lost because a shaman casts lava burst at full hp on a BoP’d target instead of purge is absurd. Sometimes people with a purge have the audacity to ask me why I dont shatter it as well… when we dont have a priest… they want me to trade the 3min cd that is the only thing on our team able to get rid if bubble and block for a purgeable ability.
DH falls so fast, just slow and nuke.
yeah dunno about this list. every solo shuffle im in on my mage or rogue its just train the mage. they die super fast and melee uptime is way too high.
Didn't even see it and I'm loving it already
There is data to suggest that affli lock is one of the tankiest dps, after unholy dk
I play affl lock main, no matter if i have a war/dk training me i can survive for dumb amount of time xd This list is scuffed
@@madsolsenmed I agree, I'm back after a long layoff so I suck at PVP ... I can survive a crazy long time on my warlock (any spec) as compared to any other caster.

I love how they compared dmg in bear form(which is basically non existent), with SUPER-MEGA-UNPLAYABLE debuff to damage in warrior's def stance in -10 % 🤡

nice~!😍
One of the only things I agree with here is how squishy assa rogues. Targeting any lock is a waste of time.
ret bubble is a 3.5 min cd and lasts 0.2 sec, some will say "oh but when you are low hp and bubble you need to be far away to not be dispelled since you also have so high mobility" ret is such a joke trolled by all including blizz :))
Another thing that's horribly scuffed about the logic in this video, you gave the example of ele devo on a team and say you should focus the devo. How about no? An ele shaman has great peels for their team. Root totem, static totem, earth shock>frost shock roots. They have off-heals, and if left alone will be able to get hexes off and spam purge if need-be. I would never waste my time dumping on a devo if there's an ele on the enemy team, not even once.
3:00 Dk has 17% of damage reduction when he is under 35% og health in pvp, and death strike is over nerfing in pvp too, you can see rextroy's video talking about that

@@ziggs123 can't disagree there. More tanky than rets though. 15yrs and ret paladins haven't changed..unfortunately.
Gotta disagree with fire mage ranking. Once I got most gear up to max I feel invincible lol, alter time is sooo OP once used correctly, with the displacement and 3 blinks, plus shield FB and blast wave you can chain it to only having around 12 secs of downtime, also knowing typical burst of other classes I'm simply at full health, healer hardly has to worry about me lol.
Waddling like a penguin is how we ride, baby
RIP holy pallies 💩
no shot that demo isnt the tankiest of the rangest classes LOL you have wall + gate + tp + soul link + healthstones +70k more hp than the other classes im biased I literally play demo and even I can admit it is absurdly tanky for a caster
I have literally more things to slip away than mages as a BM hunter, and its squishy?
I mean yeah if you're attacked and you got nothing you're pretty much dead....
but scatter shot/binding shot , trap, tar trap, steel trap, disengage, turtle, exhiliration, survival tactics, feign death..... ?
*cries in hunter*
Mage is not tanky. Ice Block gets dispelled or shattered, and so does alter time.. they are easily trainable. Idk how you can say they arent!
Now imagine being a mage with 1 ice block, 30 sec forbearance, and zero mobility. That's a ret pally.
@@kiillinit yes, I main one. And their damage is wayyyy easier to get off I'd say!
Shadow Priest is more tanky than Mage. Especially in Solo Shuffle with no coordination. Mage needs lots of coordination from his team, Shadow Priest does not need as much.
Clueless, mage is the only caster probably that can actually kite and decide whenever he wanna take dmg or not. Watch some r1 arcane/ frost mages, they are the most tanky caster by far.
Root slow cc also counts for being tanky.
@@ziggs123 you are not getting his point, in higher rank games that you refer to, there is actually good coordination and player understanding of their cooldowns and spells (e.g. dispells / shatters etc). That means that if the team is good its easier to kill a mage because SP defensive options are just plain walls and passive dps reduction as oppposed to lets say alter time which can be countered
@@sabotage7773 okay you a right, skillcap rank1 players are all wrong. Maybe you should apply to make the guides and teach them some lessons
@@ziggs123 no rank 1 player ever said this in the context of good team coordination. As I said, if you play poorly against a mage it has a lot of crazy utility but if you exercise skills well he is a lot squishier. It’s just pure facts and you don’t have to have 3000 cr to see that
this is the most important tier list because Solo shuffle is basically a game of smear the ____ if you know what i mean. Who's the mark. That's who we killing lol
Putting warlocks in squishiest is a joke Right ?
… Right ?
not really, lol focus them and you'll win almost 90% of the times you go against them. No mobility besides their tp
I'm 1600 right now and new to arena in general, so I might not know what I'm talking about, but I play a demo lock and effectively act as a tank in solo shuffle. Well, Enh is really Just RShaman but always targeteable. They do not have exclusive defensives for their added risk of being meele, they heavily Die to cleave dmg, and their defensives is really a worse SI for druid.

You should really adjust the price. 20 USD a month when most of the content for WoW is here on yt...Bring back the 5 USD sub and make it WoW only. It would be great if someone could create a spreadsheet with all this information, so I can keep it open while playing solo shuffle.
DKs might be tanky against casters but not against melee… especially frost DK. You can’t just lump the two specs together. Unh has much better self healing but frost has almost nothing and melts against melee.
Frost has more cc and defensives, they’re actually tankier but with less healing
It's so funny seeing this excuse from dks saying they're squishy vs physical... You realize most dps have a lot of their dmg as magic? Yeah, Frost isn't OP like unholy, but other than arms and ww there's no true physical counter to DKs.

Warrior is entirely unkillable. Litterally THE tankiest class of every single class. Except for a monk running away, but thats not 'tankiness'
For a Real list remove Warlocks and fire mages from squishi put all warlock specs to tankiest or add a tier (Unkillable)
thats all people do in solo is heal and stun its bs they really need to knock some of the healing down all pvp is like that in wow and has been for years it got old along time ago.
Its a hard ret life

How about offering a $6.64/month trial that doesnt require you to pay there entire year to get that price? If you offered 3 months at the discounted price I would likely continue as a member paying full price but the way you tease the price makes me doubt your validity. Too bad.
Sorry bro but you have no clue … what about elemental shaman being the squishiest class from the game in pvp ….
You reasoning on hybrids being less killable because of their self-healing options is so flawed it's embarrassing. If an ele shaman spams healing surge (somehow not getting kicked lmfao) you will oom at about 220-250k healing. A warlock gets way more value from dark pact alone, an instant cast ability. Furthermore, they have soul leech which provides just as much healing as earth shield (When spec'd into stronger earth shield) with no need to re-cast it after 10 hits. Also, healthstone is another 100k+ instant heal, they have gate AND port, plus drain life which does LOADS of healing if need-be. It's actually so scuffed that it draws the question of whether or not Skill Capped is even playing this game anymore?!
How this looks like in a real shuffle : whoever dies in the first round becoming kill target for the rest of the rounds 😂
