Thank you for this channel, I enjoy it very much. In regard on the issues between aft mounted Vs. wing mounted engines, you mention that the aft mounted engines had a higher risk os FOD, but it will seem to me that the greater risk would have been ice breaking off the wings. Something that actually happened in a Finnair DC-9 in 1981.

My captain, you just helped me a lot throughout my thesis. I'm testing efficency of VG's in the underside of winglets to increase efficiency. Dissertation is next week, thanks for sharing your knowledge (:

Wow, you were not the audience demographic I was expecting! wait until you watch the winglets video, I refer to Airbus specifically in that one. Glad you are enjoying them.

Thanks, even though most of us are now flying the NG or MAX, I agree it is good to learn about the development of this great family of aircraft.

It's the wings that fly, the aircraft is the wings. The fuselage is just drag and weight :)
    Love your content btw!

@@ChrisBrady737 I just cited a wing engineer I knew who worked for Boeing in Renton(he was British btw). He probably meant that too much focus is laid on the fuselage of a plane by a layman, forgetting the wings 😁

Can you do a video on the FMC and AFDS?

Thanks Dan, I am reluctant to cover these subjects because they are so intrinsic to operating the aircraft which is very much influenced by individual airline SOPs. That said I probably will tackle them at some point.

33:00 the wing to body fairing (right hand side) also houses the Standby Hydraulic Pump on the NG and Max.

Hi Peter, you are absolutely correct - and also the brake accumulator. I was only thinking of the Classics when I narrated it because I used a photo from a Classic. My bad!

First off, Thanks for sharing your time and energy with this. I use it for a refresher from a technician/Engineer point of view to supplement training we receive once a career where I work. We have a very large fleet selection though. Do you have any recommendations for similar type programs for a350, a320,777,787,767,757, ect......? thanks, PJ
