I'm current building a wood cabinet for my kitchen that I'll be using to mount a couple of flat panel displays running Action Tiles. So I'll definitely be referencing this video for my Action Tiles setup. Also, seriously ... your video quality has gone waaaay up. Nice job on the editing and transitions .... Its very professional. As an IT web designer, one thing I'd recommend on the layout of the panel buttons is to have the top row of every page consist exclusively of buttons that link to other panels, with the upper left button always reserved as a 'home page' button. That way the top row will always be the navigation row. This will give other people that use your panels a very consistent, and thus easier to use navigation experience.

this is a great demo, I have been searching for a solution to install a smart home system on a project that we are doing and looks like this might be the fit. However, I wanted to know is there anything out there that will allow me to use the existing speakers setup for an old Nutone intercom system? I want to place the touch screen panels all around the house but want to utilize the speakers that are all around the house for entertainment and music broadcast. Also the biggest size i see now for a tile is 3X3 how can you go larger than that ?? The tile icon styles on tile settings are very limited and i can not seem to find icons like the garage door you have there or lock unlock are those somethings that are routinely updated by action tiles people or do us as end users have any control over them other than the options on "tile settings" Any pointers on good media sources like weather radar, gifs etc ... how do you extract the radar part only form your local news channels website?? Just started my trial and it looks good if all your devices are directly accessed. In my SmartThinigs implementation I use Webcore for all my room scenes and a virtual 6 button DTH per room to set and reset the room. Apparently ActionTiles doesn't show the 6 button remote even though I made it available to it in the configuration. I tried an alternative of setting up a time with a URL directly to the scene pistons passing parameters and what happens is the URL is called, scene starts, but ActionTiles opens a new tab with the status of the POST command. Now it looks like I have to create individual virtual switches per scene to have action tiles control my pistons in Webcore. I did find a post in the feature request not to open a tab or window with URL and it shows in progress but nothing looks like its be done.

I just created a new panel for her phone. Using safari (since it's an iPhone) just logging into ActionTiles on her device and creating a bookmark on the home screen to ActionTiles. No need for any other software.

I'm getting ready to pick up an Android tablet ( zte zpad 8 I think it is ) I don't have/use smart things but I have a hue hub for all my lights, 3 Google mini's and a Phillips smart TV and would love to set up the tablet like you show in the video. Is it possible to use the action tiles without having smart things? If not can you recommend another way to set up a tablet like you did in the video?
+stain0269 unfortunately actiontiles can only be used with smartthings. There are some other apps like home remote, but i havnt used it much. Stringify has a dashboard as well.

I use SmartApp Simple Device Viewer Graph. It allows light controls, but I can't organize things or put pins on items. It is free however. :) I have a Samsung Fridge with the display on it. I am using the 14 day trial of actiontiles and have links from it to smart device graph. :) I will play with it and see if I need to spend any money on the app.
The only issue I have with smart thing is I don't have a smart things hub. Most of the smart home devices I own and looking to buy connect directly to the router

I can’t use SmartThings on Fire Tablet due to the terrible login system so I’m try to find a notification workaround for Automateit and Spotify. Any ideas? I thought I could get a Stringify rule to send a notification and have automateit pick it up but can’t seem get it to pick it up.
ActionTiles goes through Smartthings, and if alexa is also linked to Smartthings, then it will show as it should. It will show the new state right away!
ActionTiles is not a subscription, it's a one time fee. Plus, if you use any kind of custom device handlers with smartthings, then you are running on the cloud already. It may not be for you if you are truly running local and don't want any outside service, but in my opinion, it's worth it in the instance.
+Onkel Tora hasn't happened to me in the years of using it, BUT if that were to happen, then ActionTiles wouldn't be usable. If you're offline, smartthings app wouldn't work either, though.

I'm having the same issue. Where do you get the gifs. I've tried weather.com and AccuWeather and neither one let you copy and make a gif. When pasting the URL it says invalid in ActionTiles.
I got mine from my local news website under the weather section. Click on an image and check to see if the URL is a .jpeg. usually they are and should work.

Thanks but same issue. It's an old 2nd Gen Kindle Fire and according to Wikipedia it's based on Android 4.0.3. It looks like Fully Kiosk Browser only supports 4.1+ so I guess I'm out of luck. I'll have to keep an eye on Amazon for the next sale on the current version.
You DO realize Action Tiles is no longer in business...right? You may pay for the software license...but you can not get the app...or the software. Maybe it was good at one point...but they are not to be found today. I'm trying to get my money back...good luck with that, eh?

Screensaver is a dakboard board. You create an account at dakboard.com and paste the url for that in fully kiosk browser under screensaver.

Try the older version, smartthings classic, it will work
How well does this work with Alexa? For example if I tell Alexa to turn on a light will this know or become all glitched out?

If your sonoffs are flashed to work with smartthings, then yes. They need to be added into smartthings for actiontiles to see them.
