Great video. I’m local to the area. You should have turned into the entrance to the small caravan park on your right, rather than going as far as the graveyard. That would have taken you down onto the sand, where high tide has no impact. When you go in the entrance turn left and walk along the path (the railway will be on your left, and the perimeter fence of the caravan park will be next to you on your right.) When you went into the graveyard and looked right, that was the beach you would have been on, below the caravans and houses.
Aww you are lovely, cheers for this walk video too, never done it despite living in Fife since birth, I hope you are well, please stay safe and take care in everything you do.
You have to be careful walking from Burntisland to Kinghorn, the high tide can trap you, there are escape points but only 2 because of the railway line. Alexander the third was the last Celtic King of Scotland and that's why the area is called the Kingswood. The amazing veiw point at Kinghorn is known as the Witches Ring, where they used to burn witches at the top of the cliff.
The ruin you passed was Seafield Tower an old Medieval Tower House from the 16th century. There was also a pit near where you were also called Seafield.
You've done really well with pronouncing our Scottish words haha. Don't know whether this is any use to you haha, but 'Kirkcaldy' is pronounced 'Kirkawdy'.Try it with a Scottish accent hah, would be a joy to hear that haha.
